The more Rugard read the terms of the contract, the weirder his expression became, to him, these terms seemed more comical than frightening.
Su Pings expression grew unhappy watching as Rugard laughed while reading through the contract, fortunately his wife's loving embrace was able to help him retain his rationality.
" First time I'm seeing such a contract from a demon." Rugard snickered while covering him mouth to stifle his laughter. " It's not outrageous so I agree." Rugard said, the next moment, word's emerged on the contract, in Rugards handwriting.
When the last word emerged on the signature space, the contract rolled up before being enveloped by a purple black flame that burned it's ethereal form till nothing was left.
Su Ping eyed Rugard coldly, feeling suspicious. The human before him didn't seem to harbor any malicious intentions even after he had made swift work of his counter part.
' I still don't trust him.' Su Ping said inwardly.
" You already have a destination in mind we can travel to right?" Su Ping said, one of his eye ridges raised as he addressed Rugard.
" Yes, but I think it would be best if we waited off before leaving." Rugard suggested, Su Ping nodded, agreeing with him. Their were still things they needed to tend to before leaving the village.
" Summon undead: wandering wraiths"
" Summon undead: skeleton army."
Su Pings eyes glowed purple black and 5 Lvl 2 rare Wandering wraiths emerged out of thin air, as well as 20 Lvl 2 elite skeleton solider's that dug their way out of the ground, the next moment. Seeing this, Rugard chuckled helplessly beneath his breath. Melinda herself became startled at the sight of the undead and leaned even more on her husband.
' Wonderful...' Su Ping felt as if he was on cloud 11 when his wife's floral scent assaulted him even more. ' I definitely need to summon these guys even more in the future.' The undead skeletons tilted their heads in confusion when their summoner flashed them thankful smiles while the wandering wraiths seemed to become even gloomier at the sight.
Mel and Sal were surprised when they saw the Undeads that appeared out of nowhere but noticing their fathers happy expression and their mother's cute display, the both of them giggled knowingly before continuing with their game of ball.
" They'll follow you and help gather anything worth taking from the village. I'd prefer if you were quick, after all, we don't have much time." Su Ping told Rugard.
Rugard revealed an amused smile at the sight of the 5 wraiths, he knew they were summoned by Su Ping to watch over him instead of helping with the labour.
" Summon undead: wandering wraiths"
" Summon undead: skeleton army."
" With these many hands. It shouldn't take long." Rugard summoned 2 more wandering wraiths and 10 more skeleton solider's than Su Ping.
" Hahaha, good thinking." Su Ping chuckled yet his eyes were as cold as ever at the moment.
' This asshole is trying to show me up isn't he.' Su Ping cursed Rugard within his heart. He only summoned this many undead because he didn't want to be excessive, to think the human Infront of him had actually used that as an opportunity to shot a stray jab at him.
In the end, Su Ping did nothing but watch as Rugard led the undead into the village to begin their pillaging.
" Darling, if it's ok with you, there's somewhere I'd like to go before we leave." Melinda said all of a sudden attracting Su Ping's curiosity.
" Oh, of course." Su Ping didn't question his wife. He called over the children and they began walking deeper into the village, eventually they arrived Aunty Finley's house.
The houses front door was wide open as if the owner had left in a rush. Su Ping stayed with the kids, while Melinda went in yet, she came out shortly later, without finding any traces of Aunt Finely.
Su Ping wanted to ask who she was looking for but stopped on second thought when he realized that it was too risky, If he was supposed to know the person, wouldn't he be putting holes in his background story if he suddenly acted like he didn't know who it was.
" Hmmm..." Su Ping focused his gaze on the house, his dragon slits sharpened when he noticed something.
" Look there." Su Ping drew Melinda's attention when he pointed at the walkway of Aunty Finley's house. Melinda and the kids suddenly saw several markings shaped like footprints begin to glow purple black.
' It actually worked.' Su Ping thought to himself. He just tried making the footprints more visible by imbuing his magical power into them and it actually worked, though they appeared blurry because he couldn't quite expose the outline with detail.
" There are several tracks left here." Su Ping squatted infront of the foot print's that stopped once they reached the main path. " I think they must've left in a hurry with a few others during the incident."
Melinda grew silent as a sudden thought crossed her mind. Recalling the bunch of high grade mana stones she had received from miss Finley who mentioned having a certain unfilial daughter.
" Did Aunty Finley's daughter send someone to take her away because of the incident that happened in the village." Melinda started mumbling to herself while contemplating.
Su Ping easily picked up what she was saying to herself with his incredible hearing.
' Aunty Finley, So that was the person she was looking for... Whoever she was, her background must've been incredible. Fortunately for me, the ones who took her away didn't interfere in the incident but that also means that they're aware of my existence in the kingdom.' Su Ping sighed, feeling that it was always one problem after the other nowadays. The goddess of destiny must really have her eye on him or something.
' I better cover my tracks, at least try to mislead them for awhile, as best as I can.' Su Ping said to himself while staring at the large dark sphere Infront of their house down the street which he had used to imprison all of the villagers.
