" Hahahaha, wonderful, truly wonderful!" Su Ping began laughing in a jolly tone as his aura and magical power began reseeding, much to the girls surprise.

" You've all performed splendidly." Su Ping then lied through his teeth and told them that this was merely a test he had planned out to test whether they could think rationally without letting their emotions get in the way.

" We're happy to have met your expectations master!" The girls said happily, they felt relived at the same time, after all, they understood the implications of what they'd just done.

" Hehehe, great. But that doesn't mean you still won't be punished for your acts of insubordination."

" But Master~" The girls all displayed pleading looks that no doubt looked adorable but Su Ping still remained adamant.

' It can't be helped, if I let them off the hook this easily, who knows what they might do next against my wishes.'

" No buts, all of you." Su Ping said before glancing at Ming Yao with a teasing smile.

" If your willing to forfeit your reward, then I might be willing to exempt you from punishment." Ming Yao didn't even take a second to consider, shaking her head so quickly that someone could've sworn she was trying to shake it off.

" Master, what do you mean by reward."

" Master what did you promise sister Ming Yao." The girls instantly picked up on the word reward, seeing Ming Yao's reaction only made them even more panicked, what could he have offered her to make her behave like this.

" I can't tell you guys, you'll just have to ask Ming Yao." Su Ping said. The girls turned towards their sister but Ming Yao simply flashed them a teasing grin, refusing to speak. Her actions only served to make them even more anxious.

Su Ping saw this but felt that it wasn't his place to intervene. " Regarding, infiltrating the swamp region, I'll have Fei Wang, Yu Wang and Qingwa Yi, accompany me, as well as a few hundred demon units."

" The rest of you will have to watch over the Dynasty as punishment and make sure development keeps running smoothly."

" That is all." Su Ping said before stepping out of the hall under the girls watching gaze.

" Sister Ming Yao, please tell us, what did the master promise you." Yang Lan held one of Ming Yao's arms.

" Secrets shouldn't be kept amongst sisters right?" Ning An's eyes looked like she was begging to know.

" Ming Yao, you can't leave the rest of us out of the loop." Yi Heng looked a bit anxious to know.

With Su Ping gone, Ning An, Yang Lan and Yi Heng surrounded Ming Yao, pestering her with questions.

Zhen Bi stood aside with an envious gaze, though she didn't act as anxious as the others, she still couldn't hide her real feelings.

Zhen Qi on the other hand was the calmest amongst them. " Sister Ming Yao... When the master returned, I noticed an unfamiliar scent on him. A scent I haven't been able to notice before which means it wasn't anyone of us. And the scent was clearly that of a human."

Zhen Qi's sudden words suddenly attracted everyone's attention, they had detected the unfamiliar scent as well but they brushed it off as a scent belonging to another demon. It seemed only Zhen Qi was familiar with the scent of a human.

Ming Yao's expression turned solemn when she saw the strange look on Zhen Qi's face, an expression she knew very well, a look one could only describe as someone trying to hold something within them back yet was slowly failing to do so.

" I understand he went to the physical plain but that scent was to concentrated to be something gotten from a casual brush of the shoulder, so tell me." For the first time ever, the others became alarmed when they saw the spine chilling smile on her face, Zhen Qi who the others regarded as the most calm amongst them seemed to be developing multiple cracks on her calm facade. At the same time, a chilling aura slowly excluded from her.

" Zhen Qi... For your own sake I'd suggest not trying anything stupid." Ming Yao's expression darkened a little.

" And why is that? You still haven't told me why the master has that scent on him." Zhen Qi suddenly regained her composure, her aura dissipating at the same time.

" If you must know, the master has taken a new mate and the scent you caught off him, I'm sure your already aware it was the lingering scent of having copulated..." Ming Yao's single sentence stunned the girl's.

" What are you trying to say?! Did the master really sleep with a human before us?" even Zhen Bi couldn't hide her emotions after hearing this.

" That's not possible! I refuse to believe it, why would he settle for a mere human over us?"

" I don't think that's the real problem here, is it sister Ming Yao." Zhen Qi suddenly said, causing everyone to notice the troubled look on Ming Yao's face. " There's something more your not telling us, is there."

The others became impatient, asking her what Zhen Qi was talking about but Ming Yao's expression remained conflicted as if she didn't want to say anything further.

" The master must've become rather fond of that human woman, hasn't he?" Zhen Qi suddenly said, causing Ming Yao to stare at her in surprise, wondering how she knew.

" Sister Zhen Qi, I don't know what sort of thoughts you might have against that human woman, but I'll say this again, for your sake, refrain from doing anything rash. I know it might be hard to believe, but master has become far more than just fond of that woman." Ming Yao's brows were furrowed tightly, her eyes squinted with warning.

" What ever do you mean, how could I do anything when your the only one who knows where she resides, apart from the master that is."

" Besides, why would I waste my time with a weak little human woman." Zhen Qi shrugged off her words before making her way out the hall.
