It took Corey more effort and time than he expected to recover from the shock of the seeing a side of the Paragon Ancestor he never in his wildest dreams expected to see.
Despite hearing from the Paragon Ancestor that he was playing football because it greatly alleviated his boredom and was also a form of 'training' for his emotions, Corey still found it difficult to take the Paragon Ancestor as seriously as he used to do.
'Where in the world did he even get the idea of football? Or is there also football in the Paragon Ancestor's world or there's football in other worlds?'
'I have so many questions.'
Cough!
Cough!
The Paragon Ancestor coughed twice when he saw that Corey was distracted.
Corey looked at him, and then the Paragon Ancestor spoke.
"You don't have all day, Corey. I'm a very busy man."
"..." Corey looked at the Paragon Ancestor with a raised brow, and then he shifted his gaze to the screen that still had the celebratory scenes of the opposite team.
The screen showed a score of 5-4.
"..." Corey looked back at the Paragon Ancestor who shamelessly had an indifferent expression.
Another uncomfortable silence permeated the room, and when Corey saw that the Paragon Ancestor planned on not saying anything, he shook his head with a tinge of disappointment in his eyes.
The Paragon Ancestor's lips could not help but twitch when he saw this.
"I'm sure you know why I came, but in case you were too 'busy'..."
The Paragon Ancestor's lips twitched.
"... I came because of the Infinity Crystals I've acquired."
Corey gestured to his right, and seven different elemental Infinity Crystal shards appeared in between Corey and the Paragon Ancestor.
These Infinity Crystal shards were the Fire Infinity Crystal, the Lightning Infinity Crystal, the Wind Infinity Crystal, the Ice Infinity Crystal, the Wood Infinity Crystal, the Metal Infinity Crystal, and the Magma Infinity Crystal.
The moment these elemental infinity crystal shards appeared in the room, the aura of the room changed.
Seven different lights flowed across the room, and this lights were about to violently clash with one another until the Paragon Ancestor released a soft sigh that softly resounded in the room.
The lights paused, almost like they were frozen in time, and Corey looked at the frozen lights in awe.
Through his Void Phoenix powers, his instincts told him that time was not frozen. There was no controlling or manipulation of time. Instead, it felt like the lights stopped on their own and did not dare to move unless the Paragon Ancestor willed it.
"You troublesome kids. You better stay in one place and not destroy a single thing in this room or you'll pay dearly for it." The Paragon Ancestor said with an extremely cold tone as he stared at the infinity crystal shards.
The infinity crystal shards trembled, and Corey raised a brow in surprise.
"Damn it kid. Do you really want to destroy one of my prized possessions? This room has more precious memories than even my freaking bedroom and throne room."
Corey looked at the Paragon Ancestor with a slightly confused expression. "What's wrong?"
The Paragon Ancestor sighed while rubbing the middle of his brows. He waved his hand, and the infinity crystal shards flew toward him.
"Those who know about infinity crystals know that having more than two infinity crystals in the same vicinity without necessary precautions is dangerous."
"Even though these are just fragments at the astral rank, when so many are brought together, especially when their synergy is so poor, the result would be extremely disastrous even to your entire universe."
Corey's eyes widened slightly in surprise. "I didn't know it was that serious. My instincts warned me not to bring out all the infinity crystal shards on New Earth, and Nina also told me not to bring out all of them until I'm in front of you."
The Paragon Ancestor nodded. "You're right in listening to both your instincts and Nina. If you had not, you would have destroyed about a quarter of your universe."
Corey's expression paled when he heard this. Although he had not left New Earth, he had knowledge of the scope of the universe, and he knew just how massive it was.
'A quarter of the universe would be more than a quadrillion deaths. I can't even fathom the number of deaths that would be.'
When Corey had this thought, the Paragon Ancestor chuckled softly.
"Don't worry too much about that though. That old man does not want such a thing to happen to your universe, so he would have intervened. But your world would have been destroyed though, and you and your loved ones would have died."
Corey tilted his head slightly. "Old man? The Supreme Ancestor?"
Corey asked with a raised brow, and the Paragon Ancestor nodded his head. He shifted his gaze back to the Infinity Crystal shards.
"Why didn't you choose to take all the shards the old man left in your world? If you had all of them, you wouldn't have to worry about getting Infinity Crystals for a very long time."
Corey looked at the floating Infinity Crystal shards.
On New Earth, there were twelve infinity crystal shards, but Corey had only taken seven infinity crystal shards.
Aside from the Earth Infinity Crystal and the Water Infinity Crystal which he already had, the remaining infinity crystal shards were the Light Infinity Crystal shard, the Darkness Infinity Crystal shard, and the Space Infinity Crystal shard.
Corey had not left these Infinity Crystal shards because he didn't want them, he left them because his instincts wanted him not too.
"When I stood before the Light, Darkness, and Space Infinity Crystal shards, my instincts warned me against taking these Infinity Crystal shards, and I didn't know why."
The Paragon Ancestor nodded. "Do you know why now?"
"Because they are not truly infinity crystal shards. They are fake, and those objects have been tainted by the All Father's touch."
