The idea of having his personal unique weapon was something Corey had for a while ever since he was in the Underworld, but it was more of a seed than the tree it currently was.
However, despite the fact that it was a seed, Corey knew that the weapon he wanted had to be a growth weapon. It had to be a weapon with a lot of potential, and with no possible limit.
But the question was... How does one create a growth weapon?
In the Underworld and even on New Earth, talented blacksmiths were extremely rare, and those talented blacksmiths could not craft a growth weapon.
All the growth weapons Corey had and saw in the Underworld and with other individuals were gotten from the Universal System.
To craft a growth weapon was an extremely difficult feat, and before his encounter with the Silver Elves, Corey planned on fusing all his weapons together to try and get his desired weapon that was a growth weapon.
He was planning on taking a gamble since he had no idea what made a weapon to be able to grow.
But after going through the vast history and knowledge of the Silver Elves, he realized that what made a weapon to be able to grow was something called a Weapon Spirit.
There were two types of Weapon Spirits... Natural and Artificial.
An artificial Weapon Spirit was a weapon spirit that was 'crudely' created by at least a Demi-God or gods.
An artificial Weapon Spirit had its limitations, and the lower the realm of the god that created it, the lower its potential and the greater its limitations.
Meanwhile, Natural Weapon Spirits were of two types, and both type were extremely rare.
The first was a Natural Weapon Spirit that was created by the universe. This type of Natural Weapon Spirits were extremely rare and difficult to find, and once one was found and precautions were not made to ensure that others had no idea it was found, wars between kingdoms and empires would occur.
A Natural Weapon Spirit that was created by the universe was far more powerful and complete than an Artificial Weapon Spirit, and any weapon that had the Natural Weapon Spirit was certain to become a weapon that would reach the peak of the universe.
As for beyond the universe?
That was dependent on the owner of the Weapon and Weapon Spirit.
The second type of Natural Weapon Spirit was an even rarer Weapon Spirit that only the elite of the elite knew about.
This Natural Weapon Spirit was created by the owner of the weapon.
Knowledge about how to do this was nearly wiped out of the universe because of the extremely high requirements, and if not that the Silver Elves were an ancient race older than the Universal System with an intact history and knowledge, Corey would have never known how to go about this.
For a person to create a Natural Weapon Spirit, one needed to infused their soul energy, spirit energy, mental energy, and most importantly... Their Will.
And not just any Will. One needed to have achieved a tangible Will.
When it came to Will, Corey later got to know that very few Immortals had unlocked their Wills, and according to Tessa, it was not like this before the appearance of the Universal System.
Normally, Wills were meant for gods and above, but talented Immortals could still unlock their Wills.
But right now?
One had to be demonically talented or heaven defying to have unlocked their Will before godhood.
According to Tessa, it was like the path of Will had been blocked by a power beyond her understanding.
She had a Will, but she was afraid to use it because it would alert the Universal System about an abnormality, especially when she was still a Mystic Being.
If she were an Immortal, the System could ignore it. But as a Mystic Being?
The Universal System would perform a thorough check, and then it would find out all her secrets and thoroughly end her life without hesitation.
Corey also obtained more information about Will from Tessa, and when he did, he realized how lucky and suspicious it was for him to have gotten the Undying Will as a reward from the Universal System.
He knew that it was a reward for killing Death who was most likely a being beyond gods, and he also knew that the Undying Will was related to his past life.
However, he was still a Mortal, an Astral Being. And he knew that he was nowhere close to forming his Will.
He even felt a dissonance from the Undying Will when he first got it, and if not for the fact that it was related to his past life, he would have suffered a more severe backlash for possessing a Will that was not his.
Because of his suspicion at the Undying Will, he asked Nina about it. He wanted to know if it was a trap given to him by the Supreme Ancestor or another Supreme, or if it was safe.
And the answer he got was that it was safe, and that the Universal System had no choice but to give him based on its rules.
Although Corey did not fully understand everything Pamela told him, he chose to believe based on the Paragon Ancestor's request in the Shattered Dimension of the Old Ones for him to trust Nina... So he did.
He trusted her, and then he added understanding his Will to the list of things he had to do after leaving the Chained Firmament.
Going back to a Natural Weapon Spirit.
The requirements for an individual to create a Natural Weapon Spirit was so high, difficult, and dangerous that very few dared to do it.
Soul Energy
Spirit Energy
Mental Energy
And a Tangible Will.
One might think that even if they possess all four requirements, that it would be smooth sailing from there.
But they couldn't be more wrong.
