"Now... I'm going to take my leave while you guys can remain here and keep on trying to figure out my identity and my secrets."
"I have other things to do. Goodbye."
Without hesitation, Corey turned and began walking without waiting for a response from the gods.
The gods were stunned and taken aback by Corey's brazenness and audacity.
Did he truly not fear them?
"Hahaha. What an arrogant mortal. I have never seen a mortal human with so much pride before gods. If he was of my race, then it would be much more understandable. But a human? How surprising!"
A different God spoke, and this God's voice and laughter was so loud and powerful that the air and space in front of him ripped.
The god's incarnation was four meters tall (13 feet). He was a towering, golden furred humanoid lion with a golden mane. He had golden radiant eyes that contained an ancient, unshakable pride that even many Immortals would cower at.
He was shirtless, and across his chest, shoulders, and arms were tribal celestial markings that glowed faintly like stars. His claws were long, curved obsidian blades. His tail had a tuft of radiant gold, but the fur at the tip crackled with tiny arcs of solar flares.
This God was the Lion God, and he was one of the gods he was wary of.
Corey slowed down his steps a little bit and glanced at the Lion God. Less than three seconds later, he continued walking at his previous pace.
"What an interesting lad." The Lion God chuckled with a dangerous smile, and his canines grew slightly.
The gods went silent, then a different god spoke with a cold voice.
"Boy. Do you know that we can kill you right now if we want to?"
Corey paused and looked at the god who spoke.
The god wore the clothing he always saw in the eastern cultivation novels he had read in the past.
He wore a crimson and black martial robe embroidered with the symbol of a sword splitting a mountain and a sea. The mountain was on the sea.
Aside from the clothes of the god, what truly caught Corey's attention was the sword by the god's waist.
The sword was sheathed, so he could not see the blade, only the black handle. However, due to his experience and blacksmithing knowledge, he knew that the sword had a Weapon Spirit.
And if was not an Artificial Weapon Spirit, but a Natural Weapon Spirit.
And what was even more shocking was that the Weapon Spirit was not a Natural Weapon Spirit of the universe, but a Natural Weapon Spirit that had been crafted using his Will, Soul, and Spirit.
Corey could see that the sword was emitting the same Will, Soul energy, and Spiritual energy as the God.
This God was the Sword God, and he was one of the dangerous gods his instincts were warning him of.
Corey stared at the god for a full two seconds, then he replied the Sword God.
"I know that. Did I ever say that you can't kill me right now if you want to?"
The Sword God's eyes sharpened dangerously, but Corey was calm. He continued speaking.
"I'm saying that the price you'll have to pay if you hurt me is ost likely extremely high for you guys. Or else, why would you be talking to me and taking this disrespect from me."
The brows of the gods twitched, and Corey turned around.
"I'm also guessing that you guys are paying a hefty price for descending into a Blessed World that has not been fully integrated into the universe. So, why don't you guys go back to your Divine Kingdoms or wherever you can from."
"Some of your incarnations are nearly reaching their limits, and you're using your powers to strengthen their bodies so that they can last longer. You're wasting more of your precious energy doing this. So, go back. It's the best decision for you guys." Corey began walking away.
However, he had barely taken three steps before the God of Blacksmiths appeared in front of him.
"You're right. Hurting you would cost us a lot, but that does not mean we can't something from you."
Corey's gaze sharpened and he looked down. The God of Blacksmiths was holding Primus, and he didn't even see how fast he had moved.
"Besides, if we decide to forget about the cost, we can choose to kill or kidnap you, right here and right now."
The God of Blacksmiths attempted to drag Primus from Corey's hand, but Corey did not let go.
"You're pretty strong for a mortal. Your bones, muscles, and skin would make a fine weapon and item."
Corey kept on looking at Primus for two seconds, and then he looked at the God of Blacksmiths with a light, harmless smile.
"Didn't your mother teach you not to take what does not belong to you?"
"What?" The God of Blacksmiths frowned with a dark gaze.
Corey said nothing, but his gaze became frighteningly cold.
In the next second, the God of Blacksmiths' eyes widened and he nearly fell on his knees.
"What?!"
He looked at Primus with wide eyes and with visible, thick, and throbbing veins all over his arms, neck, head, legs, and even eyes.
He looked like a man that was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, and he could not drop it for fear of his life.
Unsurprisingly, this was not very different from what the God of Blacksmiths was going through.
Primus had suddenly had gone from being as light as a feather, to being as heavy as dozens of worlds.
It was such an unfathomably large weight, and despite the power the God of Blacksmiths possessed, such a weight was too much for him to bear.
Especially when this was an incarnation and not his true body.
"What is this?!"
The God of Blacksmiths roared when a part of Primus suddenly transformed to glass-like chains that curled around his wrists.
He could not let go of Primus even if he wanted to!
