Chapter 403: We'll see the truth in 2 hours.

Luo Rui showed a hint of an ambiguous smile, "Is it..."

Li Qing chuckled silently, "What on earth is rattling around your little brain? Last night... um, I was so engrossed in my studies that when I came to, it was already daylight."

Li Qing took out his phone and checked the time, nine fifteen, still fifteen minutes to go.

Luo Rui's face scrunched up, "What on earth."

She thought there might be some gossip to catch up on. She's been at the company for six months now, and although Li Qing enjoyed bantering with colleagues, he hasn't had a girlfriend.

Luo Rui kept chattering next to him, talking about her work troubles yesterday that led to overtime until seven, blah blah. At one point, she even entrusted Li Qing to check on her computer at her desk;

Li Qing casually agreed while reminiscing about practicing the first steps of the "Basic Meditation Technique" last night.

Once he was in the elevator, clocked into the company, Li Qing slumped onto his workstation in the server room.

Indeed, thanks to the local server room set up by the company, his workstation was moved to a small partition within the server room. A single room for one, although the sound of the servers was constantly buzzing, the soundproofing was pretty good, so there was no audible distraction.

After finishing the daily system maintenance, checking the servers for any abnormalities, and solving a few minor issues with colleagues' computers, he lay down at his workstation, staring at himself with a mirror.

At first glance, he couldn't help but look a bit dazed.

The reflection showed him wearing glasses, his complexion frighteningly pale, with dark circles akin to smoky eye makeup, looking quite drained.

So much so that when he went out to resolve issues just now, many colleagues were laughing at him.

"Does it really drain your spirit so much?"

Li Qing blinked, finally putting the mirror aside, conserving energy all morning, ate and rested for two hours while slacking off, and only then regained his spirit.

He spread out the scroll again, opened "Magic Origin," and started reading.

The book had already explained the basic structure of magic very clearly, and Li Qing judged that this book was completely crafted for a beginner.

Magic originated from so-called Gods, like those in Western mythology; Gods observed the world and transformed their insights into a book, thus creating the mysterious "Primordial Magic" magic book. Then, like Adam and Eve, humans, driven by greed, stole this magic book, subsequently spreading magic in human society.

But according to those old mage scholars, although this legend remains unreliable, it can serve as one of many evidence.

This legend includes a lot of Magic Holy Artifacts existing in the present world.

Another legend is like Prometheus seeing humans living harshly on the Barbaric Land, feeling pity and stealing fire for them; thus, humanity obtained Extraordinary Power and began their relentless research, creating an extremely prosperous magical era that has been inherited to this day...

Li Qing read it with interest, unknowingly reaching the six o'clock off-time.

Once he realized the time, Li Qing quickly tidied up and clocked out.

Getting off work, he casually found a fast-food restaurant, had dinner, and eagerly returned home, set the alarm, and directly collapsed onto the bed asleep.

"Basic Meditation Technique" has clearly stated that sleep is the best way to recover from excessive mental exertion.

An already exhausted Li Qing hit the bed and fell asleep.

"Beep beep... beep beep..."

Li Qing instinctively pressed the volume button on his phone to turn off the alarm and rolled over to sleep again.

Like this, repeatedly, until nine thirty, Li Qing drowsily climbed up, went to the bathroom to wash up fully awake, then returned to bed for Meditation, sketching lines.

Three minutes later, Li Qing had a somewhat peculiar look when he opened his eyes; although today's distractions were much less than yesterday, thoughts still came in abundance, making it difficult for him to settle his mind.

No wonder Taoism emphasizes curbing Monkey Mind; there's much in common between Meditation and Taoist sitting meditation.

Li Qing instinctively touched his lower back, still able to withstand a few rounds before opening a hidden folder in his computer.

Nineteen minutes later...

Li Qing appeared calm and satisfied, lying flat in a state of total tranquility akin to the Saints, started sketching the lines in the Meditation Image slowly.

As long as a complete line is drawn, the Meditation line seems settled and solidified.

If nothing hinders, Li Qing estimates that before Gray Magic Academy begins its semester, he can only complete about thirty percent.

But if the sketched Meditation line effectively strengthens his spirit, he will have extra mental capacity to accelerate the sketching.

"Basic Meditation Technique," as its name suggests, should be the simplest, most accessible Magic Entry Level Meditation method at Gray Magic Academy.

The second line started again from the origin, gently sketching outward, little by little, emerging from the void in an extraordinarily precise manner...

When the second line was fully sketched and thoroughly observed for solidification, Li Qing slowly opened his eyes, then rested with his eyes closed for a while, confirming there was no splitting headache, only a mild dazed feeling, leaving him slightly invigorated.

From the looks of it, his hypothesis was correct; with the sketching lines increasing, his spirit would become increasingly resilient, which was quite apparent.

On the third day, Li Qing still couldn't meditate properly, so ultimately had to employ his secret weapon.

Seventeen minutes later...

Li Qing sketched all two lines, progressing gratifyingly.

On the fourth day, Li Qing continued to use his secret weapon.

Sixteen minutes later...

Quickly entering the Meditation state, then sketching three lines.

On the fifth day, Li Qing wielded his secret weapon with great familiarity.

Fifteen minutes later...

On the sixth day, fourteen minutes later...

Until the three days before the semester began, truly persistent Li Qing had completely sketched three hundred and sixty-five white lines of the "Basic Meditation Technique," forming a fairly rounded sphere, identical to the image in the Meditation Image.

Sunken cheeks, deep eye sockets, and a thin physique made him look as though a gust of wind might blow him over, yet remarkably, those eyes were exceptionally bright, akin to large light bulbs, radiating ample spirit.

Sadly, physically...

He felt his waist and the inner side of his left thigh aching; a sensation if continued might just lead to demise was burgeoning effortlessly.

Not as robust as his twenty-five or twenty-six years.

Li Qing was quite conscious of his physical changes, reassuringly knowing that by illuminating this white sphere made up of three hundred and sixty-five white lines, like a bright lamp hanging in his mind, he would have made the entry.
