Mystic Eyes: My Eyes Steal the Laws of Cultivation

Chapter 142: Collapse

Kyrian remained still for a few moments after absorbing the spear.

He looked at his hands with attention. He felt something new circulating beneath his skin. It wasn't just his blood, it was something complete and structured.

The Crimson Spear was inside him.

It wasn't a common weapon.

In the memories he received, he understood immediately, that was a living treasure. A treasure created from the essence blood of an unknown being. Refined with countless years of cultivation.

"So that's it…"

The energy moved, flowing together with his blood as if it had always belonged to his body.

The spear had to recognize Kyrian. It didn't fight him, it only awaited instructions.

He closed his hands and took a deep breath. The memories began to unfold again in his mind.

When he received the memories, the first vision was total chaos.

Kyrian saw an entire forest being vaporized in a single instant. The explosion did not come from the clash between techniques but from the remnants of the conflict between two energies. The trees melted as if they were made of wax. The sand turned into glass.

In the center of that destroyed scene, a man walked.

Eyes completely red. Black, torn clothes.

A Qi so heavy that the very vision seemed to twist around him.

The crimson spear was in his hand.

The name appeared on its own, tied to the memories carried by the drop.

Xueran. The Tyrant of the Blood River.

Kyrian felt the weight of his presence even through the memories. It was suffocating. A pressure that not even the sect leader would be capable of producing. Kyrian's body tingled as he recognized the absurd difference in level.

But the memories did not show his rise. They did not show his glory, only his end.

On the other side of the destruction, a second figure appeared.

It was the same man whose corpse was before them in the room. Long white hair and a Qi so pure and bright it seemed to cleanse the vision.

Lianxu, the Sage of Pure Essence.

They didn't look injured at the start of the vision. But that didn't last. The memories accelerated, showing the growing devastation.

The two forces they belonged to had entered war.

The battle between the two turned that valley into an open plain, with rivers of blood and cracked mountains.

Kyrian saw the final attacks.

Xueran charging with the spear and Lianxu gathering the blue Qi into a single point.

The explosion consumed everything.

Mountains collapsed.

The sky split in half, and the ground sank dozens of meters.

In the end, both fell.

Wounds from which no one would survive appeared.

No one won.

No one lost.

The last memory showed the two sitting, bleeding, and dying.

Lianxu held a blue crystal, his own spiritual core, reduced to its essential form.

"If we die here… everything ends here." His voice was weak but firm.

Xueran laughed, spitting blood.

"Heh. The fight was good… now… the eras will erase us, right? Nothing will remain of us…"

Lianxu looked at the crystal, breathing with difficulty.

"Then why don't we leave something?"

He channeled the entirety of his remaining life. Qi, essence, memories. Everything into the crystal.

The blue tower began forming around him, unstable but real.

Xueran watched and smiled. Even as he died.

He pressed his bloody hand onto the spear. The treasure absorbed his entire body, consuming him.

Nothing was left except the weapon shining with power and resonating with the tower itself.

The memories ended there.

Kyrian opened his eyes. His breathing was steady now.

The tower was an improvised inheritance, incomplete. A final gesture from two ancient monsters before disappearing.

On the other side, Shen Yu had already recovered from his own memories. He held Lianxu's ring with care.

The two exchanged a glance and silently acknowledged the same conclusion.

They were the heirs of those beings.

It was at that moment that the ground trembled for the first time.

The vibration was light, almost imperceptible. The second was stronger, making the room shake.

The third was devastating. The ceiling suddenly cracked open.

Shen Yu immediately circulated his Qi.

Kyrian took a single step closer to him. More fissures spread across the floor like roots breaking through earth.

The air grew heavy. The entire tower seemed to lose the structure that kept it standing.

"It's collapsing!" Shen Yu exclaimed, slightly worried.

The tower no longer had energy to exist. The inheritance had been removed. The structure built in a hurry in ancient times would not endure anymore.

The ceiling began falling in enormous blocks of stone condensed with Qi.

Kyrian finally reacted.

He raised his arm abruptly.

A moment later, something burst out of his skin. Not ordinary blood, but the same crimson liquid that had composed the spear before.

Kyrian recognized the sensation immediately. It was like controlling another limb of his own body.

The liquid spun around them, forming a perfect sphere.

In less than a second, it solidified.

A crystallized crimson dome took shape.

The stones falling above shattered upon contact, breaking apart as if they struck celestial iron.

The impact echoed outside, but inside the sphere there wasn't the slightest vibration.

Shen Yu touched the inner surface, observing it closely.

It was exactly like the memories of Lianxu.

Only those with absurd control over blood could use that treasure in its true form.

Shen Yu looked at Kyrian, impressed.

The dome was solid like a mountain. And Kyrian seemed to control it naturally, without any apparent effort.

The entire room collapsed.

Everything turned to dust.

Kyrian kept the dome firm, feeding it with Qi from his dantians while the tower fell as if it were being split in half.

Meanwhile, outside the tower…

A few minutes before the complete collapse, Yan Hui appeared rolling across the ground, as if he had been spat out by space like a discarded object.

Several elders ran to him the moment they noticed.

"Yan Hui!"

"He came out!"

"Quick! Bring him here!"

The elders of the Scarlet Sun Sect arrived quickly. Without hesitation, they gave him pills.

The pale, grayish color on his face began fading within moments.

Yan Hui opened his eyes, breathing fast. And then, he remembered what he had seen inside. The sensation of near death. And above all…

Kyrian's calm expression as he watched him bleed to near death.

Hatred then devoured any logic.
