MIGHT AS WELL BE OP

Chapter 911: Nice Knowing You

"Before we move, I need to call my parents. They said they wanted to watch the battle," Aaaninja suddenly spoke. No one argued; they simply nodded their heads in agreement.

He closed his eyes and calmly established a Time Link between himself and Zachary and Nyxss. The moment the connection stabilized, information flowed seamlessly through the temporal channel, allowing him to communicate with them across immeasurable distances as though they were standing right beside him.

"I guess I should also call my parents," Anthony spoke next. He was certain Michael and Mitchelle would love to witness the battle as well. Without hesitation, he sent out a mental message that crossed light-years in an instant, piercing through space, time, and layers of reality. The reply came almost immediately, swift and concise, filled with unmistakable confidence.

Altheria simply reached into the air and took out her phone, sending a brief text to her parents. Vega did the same, her phone materializing in her hand as though it had always been there. Since everyone else was already calling upon their parents, she saw no reason not to do so as well.

Aura Nova, however, had no parents to contact. Instead, she communicated with Rain through a mental link that they had shared for ages. As for Kingsley, he had no family at all. He stood quietly to the side, unbothered and composed, without any trace of awkwardness or melancholy. Veronica, on the other hand, did have parents, but they were not Planetary-level beings. Moreover, she would not be participating in the battle, so there was little reason to summon them, even if they were capable of arriving.

Within minutes, space itself began to ripple. Reality bent under numerous orders and manipulations as invisible forces rewrote local laws. Portals tore open one after another, their edges glowing and distorting as beings stepped through with remarkable ease and authority, as though the fabric of existence was nothing more than a thin veil to them.

Altheria's parents were the first to arrive. Since they were already within the Celestial Solar System, their arrival was swift and almost casual. They spoke with Altheria briefly, exchanging a few words filled with familiarity and subtle concern, before she introduced them to everyone present.

Aaaninja's parents followed soon after. Their presence was as heavy and imposing as ever, pressing down on the surroundings like an unseen weight. However, everyone was already familiar with one another, so there was no need for a second round of introductions. They simply acknowledged each other with nods and brief glances.

Then, Sword Intent flooded the air.

A man with black hair stepped forward, his very presence resembling the embodiment of the sword itself. It was Michael. Every movement he made carried an invisible edge, as though reality itself might be cut if he willed it. At his left and right were Mitchelle and Collins, who had also come to witness their son and grandson fight. Anthony formally introduced Michael and Collins to everyone, having already introduced Mitchelle earlier.

'He truly lives up to his name as the Sword Saint,' Lucian thought as he felt the overwhelming Sword Intent radiating from Michael's body, sharp enough to make his skin prickle.

Rain arrived without any flashy entrance. Aura Nova had simply opened a Tear in Reality for him, bypassing the numerous restrictions imposed by the Celestial race as though they were meaningless obstacles.

"Are your parents still coming?" Altheria asked, her gaze shifting toward Vega. Vega's parents were the only ones who had yet to arrive.

"I'm sure they will in a few seconds," Vega replied in an unconcerned tone.

The moment those words left her lips, everyone felt a crushing presence slam into their bodies and souls simultaneously. The trembling came next. Earthquakes tore through the entire Celestial Solar System as Klaus and Amara appeared above the stars and moons, their eyes sweeping across planets before locking onto Vega's location.

With a single thought, they vanished.

In the next instant, they appeared within the hallway where everyone was gathered. They floated above the ground, staring down at everyone in silence, their presence suffocating, absolute, and domineering, as though everything in existence stood beneath them.

'Such immense presence…' everyone thought as they stared at the two newcomers in shock. Every person present was a Planetary-level being, yet they were bound in place by mere pressure alone.

'They are even stronger than Michael and Mitchelle,' Zachary and Riven thought simultaneously, their eyes briefly shifting toward Michael, who wore a broad smile, and Mitchelle, who remained expressionless.

Klaus and Amara slowly descended, their feet touching the ground. The instant they did, their presence vanished completely, as though it had never existed. The entire solar system returned to rest, but the Celestials had already activated various countermeasures, having concluded they were under attack.

Normally, Klaus and Amara would never make such a dramatic entrance. But this time was different. Their daughter, Vega, had called on them, and the parents of other extraordinary talents were also arriving. Naturally, they had to make a statement, for Vega's sake.

'Something is definitely wrong with the Blue Planet… how many monsters can it give birth to in one era?' Nyxss thought to herself.

"Hello everyone, I'm Klaus," Klaus said calmly.

"And I'm Amara. We're Vega's parents," Amara added.

No one moved. An unnatural silence filled the hallway as everyone stared, unsure how to respond.

'They could have just arrived like everyone else's parents,' Vega thought with a small mental sigh.

Lucian's mind exploded the moment he heard the name "Klaus."

'You mean… the Klaus?' he thought. 'The one readers speculated about? The one who wanted to take Anthony as his disciple? The one who reduced people's mana rank just by releasing a fragment of his presence? One of the greatest mysteries of the novel?'

[Yes, Host. That is him, in the life and flesh]

Lucian didn't need confirmation. He already knew.

'So Klaus has a daughter… and a wife? Since when?' he wondered, staring at the man who stood as though nothing in the universe could shake him.

'I knew Vega would have a ridiculous background as she is Anthony's girlfriend, but isn't this a bit too much?'

Another dangerous thought slipped into his mind, 'maybe I should try copying him.'

[The Host has been courting death far too many times]

Lucian clicked his tongue. 'Are you sure my ability is still called Absolute Copy? I can't even copy that cameraman, and now I can't copy Klaus?'

[Host, just as you are broken and overpowered, so are these people. You are not the only one with a special ability]

'Tsk… whatever. If Klaus is out of reach, then maybe his wife isn't. The author wouldn't make her his equal… right?'

[…]

The system sighed mechanically.

Lucian activated his ability, attempting to peer into Amara's abilities. The instant he tried, Amara's golden eyes shifted toward him.

Golden eyes met black ones.

Lucian knew.

She had found out.

'I'm fucked… aren't I?'

[It was nice knowing you, Host]
