The Supreme Martial Expert of the Female CEO

Chapter 816: Capturing Maham Alive

The mole, General McAllen, observed the patrolling troops' movements through his binoculars, and his heart sank. He understood that his side had been exposed! The only reason General Maham hadn't ordered an attack was that their current combat strength was at a disadvantage.

"If we keep stalling, once the Third Government Army arrives, we'll face certain death!" McAllen gritted his teeth. The only hope now was to capture Maham alive. Only by using Maham as a hostage could they possibly gain a sliver of survival.

"All personnel, enter combat mode now!" With McAllen's order, all members of the Freedom Organization and the mercenaries prepared themselves for battle.

Watching the men below with their intense killing aura, McAllen licked his lips. His heart was also filled with excitement. If he could indeed capture Maham alive, it would undoubtedly be an incredible contribution to the organization!

Maham, as the totem and War God of the Egyptian Army, was a symbol of the Guardians of Egypt! What could be more exhilarating than capturing one of the Guardians of Egypt alive?

"Everyone, the enemy has already noticed our unusual behavior. We have no retreat!" McAllen declared, "If the Third Government Army arrives, we're as good as dead! Before they get here, our only option is to capture Maham. Only then will we have the leverage to negotiate. So… Fight! Capture Maham alive!"

On Maham's front, the situation was also dire. Chief of Staff Muland expressed some concern: "General Maham, since we've detected abnormalities, why don't we retreat? Once the Third Government Army arrives, we can encircle and annihilate them together!"

Maham burst into hearty laughter: "Muland, this is our Egyptian soil. We are soldiers of Egypt! When facing invading enemies, the only option we have is to take up arms and fight. As the supreme Commander of the Egyptian Army, retreating without a fight is not my style! No matter how powerful the enemy before us may be, I, Maham, will only face them head-on!"

Hearing these words, Muland was also stirred with emotion. Embarrassed, he said, "General, it is I who have failed to consider this properly."

Maham patted Muland on the shoulder and said, "This isn't your fault. But you must remember, on the land of us Egyptians, we soldiers must fight tooth and nail over every inch!"

Boom! At this moment, a rocket-propelled grenade landed near the patrolling troops, followed by a storm of bullets from the direction of the Khufu Pyramid.

"Counterattack, counterattack!" Maham ordered, and the patrolling soldiers quickly found cover and returned fire against the Freedom Organization's forces.

Muland shouted in anger: "How dare they strike first? What audacity!"

Maham stared at the intense gunfire coming from afar and muttered to himself, "As expected of McAllen. His actions are indeed swift!"

Maham understood very well that once the Third Government Army arrived, it would mean total annihilation for the enemy. Their only chance of survival was to capture him. So the opposing forces would definitely launch an assault on the patrolling troops under the cover of artillery fire.

"Everyone, form a defensive formation!" Maham commanded. "Muland, dispatch a twenty-man squad to the flanks. If any sign of the enemy appears, report immediately!"

"Yes, General!" Muland quickly went off to make the arrangements.

Meanwhile, McAllen's nerves were stretched thin. He had already sent three squads to attempt a flanking attack, but all were discovered and repelled. If this continued and the reinforcements arrived, they would be finished!

"Send all the mercenaries to encircle Maham!" McAllen bit his teeth and said, "Freedom Organization members, increase firepower suppression! Don't give the enemy any chance. Mercenaries have strong individual combat abilities. Have them operate by their respective mercenary groups. They must capture Maham alive within ten minutes!"

Unless a Martial Artist reached the Realm of the Demigod Domain, they couldn't withstand modern weapons. Thus, even the mercenaries from the major mercenary corps approached cautiously during the battle. Against the violent resistance of the enemy's firepower, they found it difficult to close in quickly.

Four members of the Grey Bear Mercenary Group huddled together. Fat Bear spat out the sand in his mouth and said, "The people from the Freedom Organization are really unreliable! Not even an hour in, and we've already been exposed—what a load of crap!"

Big Clumsy Bear said helplessly, "What's the use in saying this now? McAllen isn't wrong—only by capturing Maham do we stand a chance of survival. We should figure out how to get close to the target instead!"

"There's no way at all!" Wild Bear shrugged and said, "Their defensive formation is solid, and Maham is at the center of the patrolling troops. Breaking through that defensive circle is simply impossible. Unless we use heavy weapons to attack…"

At this point, the group let out a bitter laugh. To stay agile, they hadn't brought any heavy weaponry. Fortunately, Maham's forces were also avoiding the use of large-scale weapons to protect the Pyramid; otherwise, the Freedom Organization's forces wouldn't even stand a chance!

After all, the combat strength of a regular army could not be compared to the disorganized forces of the Freedom Organization!

Ultimately, the mercenaries failed to breach the defensive circle. While the Egyptian Army's individual combat skills might not be exceptional, their defense was incredibly tight, proving that they had an excellent commander at the helm.

"Damn it!" McAllen's eyes turned red with rage as wave after wave of mercenaries were repelled. He cursed, "Maham, I never expected you to be this tenacious. This is bad…"

By now, helicopters were circling the skies, and the rumbling of tanks and war vehicles could be heard in the distance. Countless Egyptian soldiers were advancing from all directions, completely encircling the Freedom Organization's forces.

It's all over! A glimmer of despair flashed in McAllen's eyes.

"General, the Third Government Army has arrived!" Muland came rushing to the command vehicle, his voice filled with excitement. But to his shock, Maham was gone, and everyone else in the command vehicle lay unconscious on the ground.

"General!" Muland was completely panicked.

"What happened?" Just as McAllen was on the brink of despair, a commotion broke out in the perimeter. He couldn't help but roar, "Report!"

"Reporting, General! The Grey Bear Mercenary Group… They've captured General Maham!" a Freedom Organization member reported to McAllen, his voice filled with disbelief.

McAllen shot to his feet: "What? The Grey Bear Mercenary Group captured Maham? How is that possible… No, bring the Grey Bear Mercenary Group and Maham here immediately!"

Under the shocked and skeptical gazes of other mercenary groups, the four members of the Grey Bear Mercenary Group walked into the command room, carrying an unconscious middle-aged man.

"General McAllen, the enemy General has been captured!"

"It's indeed Maham!" McAllen looked at the unconscious Maham and saw both excitement and disbelief flicker in his eyes. "You… How did you manage to capture Maham?"
