The Supreme Martial Expert of the Female CEO

Chapter 847: It Begins

In the following two days, Ling Feng remained quiet; apart from taking photos as mementos, nothing else happened like before, which made Saint Di Anfu feel both relieved and puzzled.

Does this guy have no sense of urgency at all?

"Sir, please buy a bouquet of flowers for your girlfriend, won't you?" A little girl carrying a small flower basket approached Ling Feng and Saint Di Anfu and spoke politely. "Sir, your girlfriend is so beautiful. If you pair her with a bouquet of flowers, she will surely look even more stunning!"

Ling Feng crouched down with a smile. "Little girl, how much are the flowers per bouquet?"

"Five euros per bouquet," the girl replied, her eager eyes fixed on Ling Feng.

Ling Feng reached out and gently patted the little girl's head. "How many roses do you have in the basket? I'll take them all!"

"Really?" The girl jumped with joy. "I have fifty bouquets of roses in the basket, it should be..."

The little girl started counting on her fingers, prompting Ling Feng to chuckle. "It's a total of two hundred and fifty euros. I'll give you three hundred euros, and I'd like to keep the basket. After all, I can't carry this many roses all at once!"

While speaking, Ling Feng pulled three hundred euros from his pocket and tucked it into the girl's hand before taking the flower basket from her. "Alright, now you can go home and play!"

"Thank you, sir! Wishing you both everlasting happiness!" Despite her happiness, the little girl politely offered blessings to Ling Feng and Saint Di Anfu before leaving.

Saint Di Anfu gave Ling Feng a peculiar look. "I didn't expect you to have such a side. It's truly surprising!"

Saint Di Anfu already had knowledge of Ling Feng's identity — a fearsome figure in the Underworld known as the Blood-Handed Asura. Yet, she couldn't fathom how he could have such a tender side. It was hard for her to believe.

Ling Feng, carrying the basket full of roses, tossed Saint Di Anfu a faint glance. "Every man is like a treasure chest; there's still plenty you haven't discovered about me!"

In fact, from this little girl, Ling Feng was reminded of the children back at Qing Song Orphanage. It was this memory that prompted his sudden decision to buy all the roses.

"So what do you plan to do with these roses?" Saint Di Anfu asked curiously.

As she spoke, a hint of nervousness crept into Saint Di Anfu's heart. As the Bright Saintess, it was impossible for anyone to dare gift her roses; naturally, no one had the audacity. Yet, as a woman, an inherent fondness for roses arose, stirring a trace of anticipation in her. If Ling Feng were to give her the roses, should she refuse?

As Saint Di Anfu became lost in her thoughts, Ling Feng asked curiously, "What does this have to do with you? I'll just find a place to toss them later!"

Saint Di Anfu erupted in anger. "How can you be like this? For you to waste such beautiful roses, even the gods wouldn't forgive you!"

Ling Feng shrugged. "Then what should I do? I can't just carry all these roses around. I'm not that idle."

Saint Di Anfu extended her hand. "Give them to me!"

"Huh?" Ling Feng stared at her, somewhat in shock. "What did you say? Are you sure you want these roses? Do you know the meaning of roses?"

Saint Di Anfu glared at Ling Feng. "Stop talking nonsense! Of course I know! But I can't stand you ruining them like this!"

Saying this, Saint Di Anfu snatched the basket from Ling Feng's hands and approached the crowd, freely giving the roses away to the couples around.

Watching Saint Di Anfu's busy figure, Ling Feng's lips curled into a faint smile. To think that the Bright Saintess of the Papal Court of Light was indeed an innocent and adorable young woman.

Despite bearing the title of Saintess, Saint Di Anfu didn't possess the arrogant pride nor the pampered demeanor associated with her status. This was precisely why Ling Feng enjoyed teasing her — because an angry Saint Di Anfu was undeniably cute.

Before long, Saint Di Anfu had distributed all the roses, leaving only the last bouquet in the end. She hesitated briefly before holding it in her hand.

"This is my payment for the hard work!" Seeing Ling Feng's gaze, Saint Di Anfu couldn't resist defending herself.

Ling Feng rolled his eyes. "Whatever, you don't need to explain it to me. Explaining too much almost feels like you're guilty of stealing!"

"Hmph!" Saint Di Anfu snorted coldly.

At that moment, Saint Di Anfu's phone rang. After answering, her expression turned serious.

"Quickly, the Freedom Organization has started taking action. We need to plan immediately," Saint Di Anfu said, grabbing Ling Feng's hand and rushing toward the church.

Before reaching the church, they encountered Harriet nearby.

"Harriet, why are you here?" Given Harriet's past behavior, Saint Di Anfu was the first to question him.

Harriet glanced at Saint Di Anfu and Ling Feng. Upon noticing their joined hands and the rose in Saint Di Anfu's hand, his expression turned sour.

"Your Holiness the Saintess, I am here to welcome you!" Harriet performed a knight's bow. "The Freedom Organization has already begun moving, and Archbishop Berkeley is waiting for you!"

The Bright Saintess nodded. "Ling Feng, let's hurry!"

As the two passed Harriet, his body trembled slightly.

"Uncle, do you expect me to just slink back to the Holy City in disgrace? That's impossible!" Harriet took a deep breath. "I'll use this opportunity to kill Ling Feng and rid myself of this hatred!"

With a deep inhale, Harriet's figure vanished into the distance.

Archbishop Berkeley had originally wanted Harriet to return to the Holy City, but unexpectedly, Harriet's growing jealousy upon encountering the Bright Saintess and Ling Feng had driven him toward a darker path.

"Archbishop, what's the current situation?" Arriving at Archbishop Berkeley's room, the Bright Saintess asked.

Archbishop Berkeley replied gravely, "Based on our intel, the Freedom Organization has begun taking action early this morning. Paris appears to be responding now."

"Action? What kind of action?" Saint Di Anfu inquired.

Archbishop Berkeley said calmly, "From morning till now, several important traffic hubs in Paris have experienced a series of accidents. The city's police force has already mobilized fully, and many parts of Paris are experiencing gridlock."

Saint Di Anfu exclaimed in surprise, "Could the Freedom Organization be using these accidents to hinder the Paris police's operations?"

"It certainly appears so," Archbishop Berkeley responded. "Because behind each of these incidents, there are traces of the Freedom Organization."

Ling Feng furrowed his brows. If that were the case, the Paris Rose Squad should be able to quickly see through their schemes. This might even give the Freedom Organization time to prepare defenses. Could the Freedom Organization really carry out such a foolish plan?
