The Supreme Martial Expert of the Female CEO

Chapter 931: Refutation

Old Master Bai Censheng furrowed his brows. As one of the few remaining generals in Huaxia, he naturally knew the true identity of the young man before him and was well aware of what he had done for Bai Feifei.

If not, Old Master Bai would have drawn his gun long ago! A man with several women dares to pursue the Bai Family's Little Princess? Simply outrageous!

"Hmph, it seems you have the guts to come here!" Old Master Bai fixed his sharp gaze on Ling Feng, trying to catch a trace of unease or panic in his expression.

But he was disappointed. Ling Feng's face remained calm, his gaze steady, as though the weight of Old Master Bai's authority held no real significance to him.

"Of course I've come!" Ling Feng smiled gently and said, "In fact, I should have visited Grandpa Bai and Aunt Mu yesterday, but I was held up with work first, which caused the delay!"

Saying this, Ling Feng retrieved a small box from his jacket and presented it with both hands in front of Old Master Bai. "This is a gift from me, as a younger generation, to Grandpa Bai!"

"Do you think I'm some clueless old fool?" Old Master Bai scoffed coldly. "The reason I've called you here today is to discuss your situation with Feifei! Take your gift back; I can't accept it!"

Ling Feng frowned slightly. Clearly, Old Master Bai had no intention of approving Bai Feifei's relationship with him.

Ling Feng subtly glanced at Aunt Mu, who responded with a helpless look.

Although Aunt Mu typically had an open-hearted, straightforward manner, even she had to remain silent on this matter. After all, the true decision-maker in the Bai Family was Old Master Bai Censheng. Besides, Mu Xiao was also curious—if Old Master Bai did not agree, what would Ling Feng do?

"Grandpa, how could you be like this?!" Bai Feifei, hurt by the rejection of Ling Feng's gift, burst out emotionally. "My relationship with Ling Feng is our own business. Even if you don't agree, I'll stay with him for the rest of my life!"

"You insolent child!" Old Master Bai roared in anger. "This isn't your place to speak! Step aside!"

Bai Feifei stubbornly replied, "How could it not concern me? Grandpa, this isn't the old days anymore! Why can't you let your granddaughter decide her own happiness? Besides, didn't you keep urging me to find a boyfriend? Now that I've found the man I truly love, why are you all trying to stop me?!"

"Hmph! I did say you should look for a boyfriend, but that didn't mean finding a fickle man who flits from one woman to another!" Old Master Bai said sternly. "Fine, since you're speaking of free love, then let me ask Ling Feng here and now. What do you truly feel for Feifei? Even if I were to agree with your relationship, do you expect our Feifei to follow you with no clarity or certainty?"

Bai Feifei wanted to retort, but Ling Feng stopped her.

Ling Feng smiled faintly. "Grandpa Bai, I understand you're only looking out for Feifei. But first, I must correct a misunderstanding you have!"

Old Master Bai's brows knitted tightly, and he did not respond, though his eyes were filled with a hint of disdain.

"I, Ling Feng, may have a romantic heart," Ling Feng said calmly, "but I am sincere towards every one of the women in my life! Although this may sound shameless to your ears, it's the truth! I would scale mountains of swords and plunge into seas of fire for any one of them—I'd sacrifice everything for them!"

"Yes, I love Bai Feifei," Ling Feng continued earnestly, "but that does not mean I will abandon the other women in my life. Grandpa Bai, you should be well aware that in relationships, genuine emotion is what truly matters. What does a mere title or status prove?"

"You speak so prettily!" Old Master Bai sneered. "I understand now. All this flowery talk is just so you can avoid giving Feifei a proper title. You want to toy with her feelings? I'll tell you right now—that is absolutely impossible!"

As Old Master Bai's anger flared, Ling Feng remained composed and responded evenly, "Grandpa Bai, many people can offer Feifei an official title, but I'm the only one who shares a mutual love and understanding with her. If you insist on blocking us for the sake of some so-called worldly title…"

At this, Ling Feng's lips curled into a trace of disdain. "Then it only shows that, in your heart, Feifei is nothing more than an ornament to enhance the Bai Family's reputation. You've never truly prioritized her feelings and happiness!"

Upon hearing this, not only Bai Feifei but even Mu Xiao was stunned.

In over twenty years of living with the Bai Family, Mu Xiao had never seen anyone dare to defy Old Master Bai so brazenly! Even high-ranking officials treated him with utmost respect.

"Good, good!" Old Master Bai was trembling with fury. "Forty years—it's been forty years, and you're the first person to dare behave so outrageously in front of me! Do you think I'm too old to lift a gun now?"

Ling Feng smiled faintly. "Grandpa Bai, you're as vigorous as ever; of course you're not old. But you must know, even a gun is useless against me."

After a brief pause, Ling Feng looked to Bai Feifei and continued, "In truth, whether you approve or not makes little difference in my relationship with Feifei. I won't abandon her because of your objection, nor will I harm the other women in my life because of your conditions. I will do everything in my power to bring Feifei happiness and show her that her choice was the right one!"

Turning back to Old Master Bai, Ling Feng added, "Grandpa Bai, there are countless legal couples in this world, but few are truly happy. Many issues—betrayal, domestic violence, or emotional coldness—can't be solved by a marriage certificate, can they?"

"I'm not a gentleman, but I am a man," Ling Feng said earnestly. "I know the responsibilities of a man: to protect the women he loves and to make them happy. I know you may not believe a word I say now, but I will prove it with my actions!"

Bai Feifei chimed in, "Grandpa, I'm not a child anymore. I know what I'm choosing! Please trust me—trust my judgment, and trust my man! Compared to a so-called title, I value a perfect love more!"

Old Master Bai stared intently at Ling Feng for a long moment before saying slowly, "Ling Feng, you truly aren't a gentleman!"

Ling Feng chuckled lightly. "What's so great about being a gentleman? I'd much rather be a simple, ordinary person—someone who doesn't concern himself with grand responsibilities for the nation, but focuses on protecting the people and things he cares about. That's enough for me."

"Hmph, so much skill, yet no ambition befitting a real man!" Old Master Bai said disdainfully. "How infuriating! Feifei actually fell for someone like you—it's absolutely maddening!"

But from Old Master Bai's tone, Ling Feng could clearly sense a slight loosening of his stance.
