Three days, saying it's long isn't exactly right, saying it's short isn't either.
Especially the days on this ship, three days feel pretty long…
Only Qin Fang and Tu San were quite patient, they didn't get anxious from waiting, instead, they lived quite fully.
"Are you sure nothing will happen?"
Ever since Chu Yunxuan met Tu San, she knew there must be some issue between Qin Fang and Tu San needing resolution. Yet as time went on, nothing started, and Chu Yunxuan grew a bit anxious, but seeing Qin Fang's calm demeanor, she couldn't help but ask.
As the saying goes, concern leads to chaos.
If Chu Yunxuan could look at the situation rationally, she'd realize the issue wasn't as catastrophic and still had room for maneuver.
At least between Qin Fang and Tu San, these three days would be calm, even when they accidentally bumped into each other, they just nodded amicably and walked past each other.
This change, Chu Yunxuan noticed, left her a bit confused.
She knew Qin Fang and Tu San's relationship wasn't great, he even boarded the ship to avoid Tu San, but when they met, they seemed like old friends, which greatly puzzled her!
"Don't overthink it, everything will be fine… what do you want to play, I'll take you!"
Qin Fang didn't elaborate. Some things were better left unknown to Chu Yunxuan, as they might distract her, ultimately hindering Qin Fang himself.
So this time, Qin Fang kept pondering but couldn't think of someone suitable!
"Why not, let's play cards…"
Seeing Qin Fang reluctant to speak, Chu Yunxuan didn't press on, immediately smiling and suggesting. The ship's facilities were pretty good, meeting all sorts of needs.
Like when Chu Yunxuan felt a sudden urge to play, she persuaded Qin Fang to head to the card room.
There were many facilities on the ship, but a large number of people too. Especially at night, even the crew needed rest.
This made the ship's entertainment quite lively, and since Chu Yunxuan wasn't skilled at much else, she dragged Qin Fang along with her idea.
People love gambling, it's universally true. Otherwise, why would there be the world's three major gambling cities? Even on this luxurious cruise, there was a card room prepared.
However, when Qin Fang and Chu Yunxuan arrived, the card room was brightly lit and already packed, with nearly every table fully occupied, leaving barely any space.
Those able to board this ship weren't short of money, or were somewhat famous figures. Initially, they might find it novel, but the excitement quickly waned… things reverted to how they were.
At sea, it's always the same scenery, ocean, waves, already a bit tiresome. This cold weather also reduced the chance to engage in activities.
Hence, life on the ship became routine again, and the card room started bustling with activity.
"Hey beauty, there's a spot over here…"
It's true, beauties have an edge; originally, there wasn't even half a spot, every seat taken, when someone called out.
Instead of a spot available, it seemed one guy was kicked out by the other three companions.
"Qin Fang…"
Chu Yunxuan clearly understood what was happening; just looking at those guys made her frown slightly, clearly not satisfied, and she sought help from Qin Fang.
"It's fine, go ahead…"
Though aware of the young guys' schemes, Qin Fang was unbothered.
Despite their apparent status, if they thought Chu Yunxuan was an easy target, they were gravely mistaken.
With Qin Fang's permission, Chu Yunxuan approached the table, taking an empty seat vacated by the man who moved behind the speaker.
Qin Fang didn't follow immediately, instead exchanged some chips and casually approached the four, finally standing behind Chu Yunxuan leisurely.
The players at the table paused, seemingly confused about Qin Fang's identity and background.
"Bro, who are you?"
The pushed-out guy handed Qin Fang a cigarette, lit it, only to notice Qin Fang standing there smiling without the intent to smoke.
"Don't worry about who I am, just do your thing; I'm just passing by for a look…"
It seemed like in order to please these people's temperament, Qin Fang talked extraordinarily calmly, as if he wasn't really concerned about this matter.
Chu Yunxuan and her group were four people playing mahjong, a game Qin Fang didn't understand too well. His knowledge of mahjong was extremely limited, but he happened to play with that group once, and managed to beat the chubby chef impressively, winning several rounds mythically, leaving that group they once encountered completely defeated.
Though Chu Yunxuan didn't have Qin Fang's skills, she was lucky enough to almost eliminate someone from the competition with just a few rounds.
Even the two remaining young people had poor expressions, as they too were badly beaten by Chu Yunxuan... They regretted calling this beauty over.
But now that she's here, it would obviously be inappropriate to drive her away—it would be impolite and show a lack of character!
A young person took the spot that was vacated for Chu Yunxuan—the handsome man who had to leave earlier... Yet with the change of player, Chu Yunxuan continued to win as she was supposed to, unaffected by the swap.
"Haha, I won again..."
Once again, she secured another win!
Chu Yunxuan was extremely excited, her heart nearly jumping out of her chest, creating an alarming sensation…
But if she weren't allowed to shout, it would be hard for her to release the little frustration accumulated in her heart. So, shouting a few times was very effective.
"Damn, this is too cursed! I'm done playing, done playing..."
They were repeatedly crushed by Chu Yunxuan, those young people were thoroughly disheartened, probably not far from conceding defeat.
Just then, as those people stepped away, someone quickly came over to take their place.
Originally, Qin Fang wouldn't have bothered about this, since he wasn't the one playing cards. But when he saw the person at the table, his purpose instantly changed.
"Why are you here?"
Qin Fang looked at the person across from him with a curious expression, his eyes flickering with unusual light, seemingly wanting to uncover some mysterious depths from their demeanor yet not turning into a decisive snack.
"Just idling around, thought I'd come out to get some air..."
This person replied calmly, with a playful attitude, as if hiding some unspoken words deep down.
Of course, Qin Fang knew this was impossible, because this young man who appeared suddenly was none other than Tu San, his fierce adversary!
"Do you know how to play?"
Tu San gestured at the mahjong table and looked at Qin Fang, then asked with genuine friendliness.
"Yeah, I know a bit..."
Qin Fang nodded, he had some knowledge, although not very proficient, claiming complete ignorance would be absurd, especially since Qin Fang had some tricks up his sleeve!
"Three players here, one short..."
Qin Fang sat down, with Chu Yunxuan still there, making only three people, one short of the four needed.
"Wait for me..."
Qin Fang beckoned to the back, initially hoping to draw in some distressed housewife, yet he summoned a tall and burly man over.
Tu San clearly showed no interest, just glancing at Shen Liang briefly and asking a simple question, temporarily setting the matter aside.
"Let's start..."
With Qin Fang's command, preparations were complete, and this round of mahjong commenced, as the four sat down to play, exhibiting harmony.
An outsider might think it's an incredibly happy family, but in reality, they couldn't fit in at all...
"You know Jiang Rou?"
Obviously, playing mahjong was not Tu San's true motive; during the game, he casually asked, showing interest in the subject.
"Somewhat, met once in Hong Kong Island, she's quite a stunning beauty..."
Qin Fang was alerted, feeling that Tu San's presence here was not simple, certainly not something a mere phrase "playing mahjong" could fully cover up.
Especially as Tu San ignored others, mentioning Jiang Rou specifically, this made Qin Fang incredibly surprised.
As far as Qin Fang remembered, Jiang Rou managed to swiftly subdue Han Long's remaining forces mainly because of the Bloody-handed Demon Tu San's assistance. Also, back at the racetrack, Qin Fang had seen Jiang Rou meeting Tu San, seemingly exchanging conversations for quite some time...
Tu San and Jiang Rou's relationship was undoubtedly extraordinary, notably intimate, but now Tu San's probing made Qin Fang unsure of what this guy was thinking? (To be continued.
