Upon reaching the house, the family of five stepped down from the limo, leaving only Dayo outside.
"Eh, you guys go in. I'll join you soon—I just need to talk with Wayne and Viv," he said.
"Alright," Jarden replied before leading the others inside.
Dayo sighed and leaned back against the seat.
Wayne turned to him. "So, Dayo, do you mind telling us what's going on?"
Dayo rubbed his temples. "Honestly, I don't fully understand it myself. But… I was attacked at the airport. And the only person who could possibly have a motive is Philip."
"Philip? You mean the one from UC label? The son of the shareholder—that Philip?" Vivian asked, eyes widening.
"Yeah. That one."
"But how—and why?"
"Remember the story I told you about my ex who tried to steal my song? How I said she wasn't working alone?"
Vivian nodded slowly. "Yes, I remember."
"Well… the person backing her was Philip."
Wayne and Vivian's jaws both dropped.
After a long pause, Wayne finally found his voice. "But even so, that still doesn't explain something this extreme."
Dayo scratched his head. "Well, before I flew back, there was… an incident. A confrontation. He got physical and i kinda humliated him. After that, it became pretty clear to me who was behind what happened at the airport."
The two of them exchanged a look, and in that silent moment, they understood.
Vivian frowned. "So, what do you plan to do about it?"
"For now? Nothing."
Wayne tilted his head. "That doesn't sound like you. Why nothing?"
"First, my relationship with UC label is solid. I don't want to burn bridges over one spoiled brat who can't swallow his pride. Second, I don't have evidence—or the power to fight that fight. Not yet."
Wayne and Vivian glanced at each other again, but this time they smiled faintly. The reason was simple—Dayo was far too mature for his age. Any other twenty-year-old in his shoes would already be plotting revenge. But instead, he was holding back, thinking long-term. They couldn't help but feel proud.
Vivian finally nodded. "Hmm. You're right. I think that's the best call."
Wayne leaned forward. "By the way, before we wrap this up, don't forget about Lois's album. That's the next big thing on your plate."
Dayo exhaled and smiled faintly. "Yeah. You're right."
With that settled, Dayo invited the duo, but they refused, saying they had something to do. After bidding them goodbye, he went inside. The family had dinner together—a much-needed meal after such a hectic day. Not long after, everyone drifted off to sleep, exhaustion winning over conversation.
But later that night, Jadon sat outside taking a drink from his beer, gazing outward.
Then Dayo walked out and saw his father drinking. He sat down beside him.
The two kept quiet for a while.
His father studied him carefully, his voice low and thoughtful. "You know, son… sometimes I feel like I don't recognize you. Like… you're not really my boy. But then again—you are."
The words made Dayo's heart skip. Panic rose in his chest, though he forced his face to remain calm.
His father smiled faintly and patted his shoulder. "Don't get me wrong. I like the man you've become. I really do."
Dayo managed a small nod, masking the turmoil inside. His biggest secret was that he wasn't really Dayo—the real Dayo had passed—and he feared being found out.
"Oh, by the way," his father continued, leaning back. "Your Uncle Daniel is returning from a tour. You remember him, right?"
Dayo hesitated, then forced a chuckle. "Yeah… yeah, of course. It's been a while, but I remember he was always nice to me taking me to the gun range."
"Yeah he asked me to tell you that he saw the news and if you need help or are in a situation you can reach out to him"
Dayo was taken aback but smiled from his memories he could see that he had always been close to Daniel so much that when he disappeared from his family he still met him
"Alright, tell him I would and I am expecting his return."
The conversation lingered a moment longer before silence settled between them. Dayo's thoughts drifted down memory lane with the words he'd just heard.
He still remembered his days in the army when he went on missions. The risk of not coming back was high, but necessary. It was why he always respected anyone in the force.
Both father and son got a bit tipsy that night before Dayo's mother came in to drag them inside to sleep.
While all of these were happening the internet was on fire because of Dayo.
By midnight, Dayo's follower count had exploded:
Instagram: from 3.2 million to 6.8 million overnight.
Twitter (X): from 1.5 million to 3.9 million.
TikTok: his biggest jump—from 2.8 million to over 7.5 million, thanks to millions of reposted clips of his Heathrow performance and the fight.
Then hall of fame received part of that fame as it had not being up to a month and the overall stream was already of breaking the bridge of over 100 million streams in total.
Spotify – 55.4 million streams (+20.1M)
Apple Music – #1 in 48 countries (+12)
YouTube – 45.2 million views (+32.5M)
Audiomack – 15.7 million streams (+7.6M)
Hall of Fame surged to #1 on Billboard Global 200 (+2 spots)

The next morning, Dayo woke up later than usual. For the first time in a while, there was no rush, no pressure — just the sound of his siblings laughing downstairs and the smell of breakfast his mother had prepared.
After washing up, he joined them at the table. They all tried not to bring up the Heathrow incident too much, though their worried glances gave them away. Dayo only smiled, reminding them he was fine.
After they ate, he finally opened the bag he had brought with him from London. His siblings' eyes widened with curiosity.
"Alright, gifts time," he said with a grin.
For Jaden, his younger brother, he pulled out a PS5 with two controllers and a stack of games. "Don't say I never look out for you."
Jaden's jaw dropped. "No way! You're the best, JD!" He almost tackled him with a hug.
For his sister, he handed her a designer handbag and a set of limited-edition sneakers she had once mentioned on a call. "I remembered you wanted these," Dayo said, watching her gasp in surprise.
"You remembered?!" she squealed, hugging the bag like it was gold.
For his mother, he placed a small box on the table. Inside was a delicate set of gold jewelry and some new clothes he had picked just for her. Her eyes softened as she lifted the necklace. "Dayo… this is too much."
"It's never too much for you, Mama," he replied with a smile.
Lastly, for his father, he brought out a premium wristwatch. "You've been wearing the same one for years. I thought it was time for an upgrade."
His father chuckled, shaking his head. "You didn't have to do all this, son." But the way he kept turning the watch over in his hand said otherwise.
The living room filled with chatter and laughter as they admired the gifts. For Dayo, it wasn't about the price of the items — it was about being here, with them, sharing a piece of the life he had built outside. Ater all what was money meant for if not to spend on loved ones.
With all this happening Dayo felt peace in his mind then he heard a *DING *
