From A Producer To A Global Superstar

Chapter 50: Best Part Goes Live

Clara's voice came through the hallway before the front door even closed.

"Lois! Lois, where are you?"

She burst into the living room and found Lois sitting on the couch, with her legs crossed, lazily watching a movie.

Clara dropped her bag. "Lois, what's wrong with you?"

Lois tilted her head slowly, not even pausing the movie. "What do you mean, what's wrong?"

"With everything going on right now, this is how you're acting?" Clara shot back, hands on her waist.

Lois rolled her eyes.

Clara frowned. "Seriously? I sent you a message. Didn't you see it?"

Lois frowned back, digging into her purse for her phone. "Message? I didn't see any message."

"Check it," Clara insisted as she sat down, watching her closely.

Lois swiped through her notifications. "Nothing here."

"Just check properly. I said check it."

A moment later, Lois froze, then looked up in shock. "Wait… are you for real?"

"Yes," Clara said, a grin breaking across her face.

Lois blinked a few times, then sighed. "How did Dayo even arrange this ...? This is huge."

Clara smirked. "This is what I told you earlier: if you behave, Dayo would treat you well."

"Whatever," Lois muttered, though a smile tugged at her lips. "But… I like this. I like it a lot."

"Alright, get dressed," Clara clapped her hands. "We need to leave. Today's your launch day, and you cannot be late for your own showcase."

Lois finally stood, stretching lazily before heading upstairs. "Yeah, yeah, I know."

Clara shook her head but grinned. "Unbelievable."

Meanwhile, across town, Dayo sat with Wayne and Valery in a quiet lounge. A laptop was open, and they were glued to the live update board for the Global Competition.

It had been a day since voting started.

"Okay," Wayne said, tapping the screen. "The votes are here. This is the official Top 30 ranking."

The list refreshed, showing names and vote counts.

Valery whistled softly. "Frank is sitting at number one. Not surprised — he's got Michael behind him, so we should expect nothing less, and he released a single which I heard this morning on the."

Wayne leaned back. "But look at you, JD. Number six in the world. That's huge. With the release today and other shows, you can definitely enter the top 3 before the voting ends."

Dayo stared at the numbers, not smiling, not frowning. Just focused. "Six is good," he said quietly. "But it's not enough."

The system was clear: if he didn't reach number one, all his stats would be back to ground zero.

"I'm aiming for number one."

Dayo said with his eyes set on Frank's name sitting in the No. 1 spot

Both Wayne and Valery looked at each other and thought Dayo was triggered because of the fact that Frank, whom Michael was supporting, was number one.

A knock came at the door.

"Sir, it's time for the launch."

Dayo nodded. "And Lois?"

"She has arrived."

"Alright. You can go ahead, we'll join you."

When the door closed, Dayo looked at both Valery and Wayne. "Let's make history and win me that ticket to the Global Competition."

They all walked towards the conference room, and upon entering, the whole room was quiet except for the low hum of laptops. On the main screen, the Best Part single page was loaded on all platforms, waiting for the final command.

Lois sat forward, clasping her hands tightly. Clara stood behind her, arms crossed, trying to look calm but failing. Dayo leaned on the edge of the table, checking the countdown clock.

Wayne cleared his throat. "Alright, everything's ready. Once we click, it'll go live on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, everywhere."

Valery smiled faintly. "Let's go."

Dayo checked his watch. "Okay, team. This is it. Launch goes in thirty seconds."

Everyone leaned closer to the screen.

"Ten…" Dayo started.

"…nine, eight, seven…" the others joined in.

"…six, five, four, three, two—"

On "one," Wayne pressed the enter key. The loading wheel spun, then the page refreshed.

[Best Part (Lois ft. Dayo) – Now Streaming Worldwide]

The room erupted in applause. Clara clapped her hands. "It's live!"

Lois covered her mouth, overwhelmed. "Oh my God… It's actually out."

Dayo gave her a steady look. "Yes. So now get ready to work. This is just the beginning. The Album will come in two weeks — and you'll see why I told you to wait till then."

Lois ducked her head shyly, nodding and a bit embarrassed.

A few hours later, Dayo started a live stream with Lois beside him.

"Alright," Dayo said into the camera, Lois now sitting beside him. "You've all been waiting. Best Part is finally here. Stream it. Share it. And let's make history."

The comments flew in instantly:

@musicfan88: THIS IS SO CRAZY 😭🔥

@bestparthive: just streamed it and I'm already obsessed

@voteJD: STILL STREAMING IT

Then one user wrote:

@fan_worldwide: Would you all like them to perform it live??

The chat exploded:

@lighthaff: YESSSS!!!!

@roaddft: SING!!! SING!!! SING!!!

@choruscrew: sing sing sing

Dayo laughed, shaking his head. "Ahh, you people won't let us rest." He reached for a guitar resting against the chair and strummed a few warm chords. "Alright then… just a little something for you."

Lois tucked her hair back, leaned toward the mic, and began softly:

🎶 You don't know, babe

When you hold me

You kiss me slowly

It's the sweetest thing

And it doesn't change

If I had it my way

You would know that you are 🎶

Dayo joined in, his deeper tone blending smoothly with hers:

🎶 I just wanna see

I just wanna see how beautiful you are

You know that I see it, I know you're a star

Where you go, I'll follow, no matter how far

If life is a movie, know you're the best part, ooh

You're the best part, ooh

Best part 🎶

They stopped there, letting the last chord hang in the air. The room felt still for a moment before the chat erupted.

@ohmyfan: OH MY GOD ACOUSTIC VERSION >>>> 😭😭😭

@shipjdlois: this chemistry is Fire🔥

@bestduets: better than the studio version already omg 😭

@singalongcrew: YOU'RE THE BEST PARTTTT 🎶

@heartattack: JD on guitar + Lois vocals = PERFECTION

Lois laughed shyly, covering her face. "You guys are too much."

Dayo grinned, setting the guitar aside. "That's all you're getting today. Keep streaming, keep voting. Let's make this song—and this journey—something unforgettable

Within a few hours, combined streams across platforms crossed 270K and were still climbing fast.

Dayo ended the live with a small smile. "We've started well. And we are not stopping till we reach the moon."
