[The child has been born with D-rank warrior and E-rank mage potential.]

[Reward: Gift *1]

Cries of two newborn children echoed through the small chamber, soft and pure, cutting through the silence like blessings from heaven.

The air smelled of herbs and warm cloth. Lia lay weakly on the bed, her face pale yet glowing with relief, while Diana stood beside her, holding a wet towel.

One child was a girl born from Lia, whom Ethan named Sally. The other, a boy from Diana, was named Wales

This time accompanying them were kids who were peeking around curiously.

Sally had tiny silver ears poking from her hair and a short fluffy tail swaying behind her. When the blanket slipped, everyone froze for a moment.

"Oh my God!" Miranda gasped, her eyes widening.

"She inherited Lia's ears and tail!" Nera exclaimed, covering her mouth in surprise.

"She looks so cute… I want to play with her!" Miranda said with excitement and rushed forward with Nera.

Before either could touch the baby, a hand moved quickly, and Sally was already in Ray's arms. He shot the two bun head girl with a sharp look as the child began crying softly.

"Can you two stop making a fuss? Look, you made her cry," he said calmly while rocking the baby gently.

The two girls pouted and turned away. Ray smiled faintly as he stroked Sally's small ears, whispering under his breath, "She's so cute…"

Meanwhile, Ethan sat cross-legged on the floor, holding Arnold carefully. Lia leaned against his shoulder and felt her exhaustion fading as she gazed lovingly at their children. Diana sat beside him with a soft smile.

"The ears and tails of beastmen once brought us so much hatred," Lia said quietly, her fingers brushing Sally's tiny hand. "But here, they're admired."

Ethan chuckled softly. "Hehe… Who wouldn't want such a lovely daughter? I'd love to have those with soft ears and a tail too, but sadly, I can't change species."

Diana leaned closer, her golden eyes falling on Arnold. "He looks strong already, especially with that black hair and golden eyes."

Ethan nodded proudly. "He is," he said with a smile. Arnold was his first child born with dual potential,a warrior and a mage.

'The gift must be substantial,' he thought silently as he looked down at the sleeping baby.

Later, after everyone had rested, Ethan quietly stepped out and walked toward the training hall. The torches flickered on the stone walls, casting long shadows. He stood in the center, his eyes firm and focused.

"Open it," he commanded.

[Breakthrough Card D Rank *1]

[10 years of Martial Insight]

The first reward wasn't much for him. He had already surpassed the level where such things mattered.

"Open the second one," he said again.

[C-Rank Greatsword *1]

Ethan's lips curved into a faint smile. "Now that's a very nice pick."

He raised his hand, and a bright light formed before him. Slowly, a greatsword materialized from thin air. It was enormous, its blade dark silver with faint crimson veins running through it like living streams of molten metal. The hilt was wrapped in black leather, engraved with symbols of unknown origin. The guard gleamed faintly with runic inscriptions, each one pulsing in rhythm with his heartbeat.

Ethan grasped it tightly. It was heavy yet perfectly balanced, and it felt alive in his hand. The metal hummed faintly, as if resonating with his own power.

He examined the weapon, sensing its function through his connection with the system.

"This sword can store one swordsmanship attack at full strength of its wielder," he murmured, his tone filled with appreciation.

"And when unleashed, it returns the strike with amplified power… a deadly counter."

A small grin spread across his face. He swung the sword lightly, and a sharp gust of wind tore across the hall, slicing a thin mark into the distant wall.

"Perfect," he whispered to himself, sheathing the blade on his back.

Then he looked toward the ceiling, his expression softening for a moment. "A new member in the family family… and a new blade. Not a bad day."

...…

In a hidden underground hideout, a man with a gruesome face sat at the head of a dimly lit chamber.

The stale air carried the smell of damp stone, and only a few flickering torches lit the room. His eyes, full of anger, glared at the figures kneeling before him. He was the Head Priest of the Cult in charge of Ruthiana, a figure feared and respected by every follower present.

He had worked for years, making countless preparations. Every step he took had been careful and planned, yet just when everything was close to success, a disaster had struck.

The setback weighed heavily on his heart and made rage boil inside him.

He spat on the ground and leaned forward. His voice echoed through the chamber.

"So, you're telling me all our people sent to the western part of the kingdom are wiped out? And now the rest of the kingdom is reacting too?"

The kneeling figures shivered under his gaze.

"Forgive us… please forgive us, Lord," they begged with trembling voices while keeping their heads pressed to the floor.

The Head Priest slammed his hand on the armrest. The sound shook dust off the ceiling. His eyes burned with impatience.

"How did this happen? Who is the one behind all this?" His tone was sharp and held no room for excuses.

One of the robed men got up slowly while keeping his head lowered.

"As far as the information goes, it's a secret force whom we haven't traced yet."

"Are there bastards who dared to meddle in our affairs?" the Head Priest growled with gritted teeth.

The robed man continued speaking carefully.

"My Lord, if I may say… this might actually be a good opportunity for us to strike."

The Head Priest narrowed his eyes.

"Why do you say that?"

"The war is nearing its final stages and Ruthiana has already called for reinforcements from all major powers. Most regions are stretched thin now. "
