Siderius' silver aura was as dense and bright as the moon. It slowly dimmed down, returning him to his usual state.

He opened his eyes and clenched his fist tight.

"Finally. I have restored at least 5% of my original power. It is not much but should be more than enough to walk this kingdom freely.

As my soul has ascended once more. All my sigils have become more powerful. All alchemical seals are twice as effective than before and easier to control.

I should think of adding a fourth sigil soon. Vertigo can be upgraded now as my power is sufficient for its higher version, Esturo."

Siderius' ears moved gently as he heard the noise of horse hooves stepping on the dirt.

He turned over to see Erin's carriage slowly approaching.

"This witch really is relentless." Siderius stayed in his position.

The carriage stopped not far from him.

"Do you want to check my wares, weary traveler?" Erin smiled softly.

Siderius stared at her. His cold gaze made her sweat.

That scary facade combined with his godly handsomeness made him look like a piece of mastercrafted statue.

Siderius sighed then stood up. "As long as we only conduct business, it is fine with me."

Erin's face lit up. "Of course, weary traveler! My wares are available for you. Have you found the previous purchases useful?"

Siderius nodded. He couldn't lie. The Heart Rose, Bael Thorn were a big help in his fight with Blair.

"I'm taking two bottles of Bael Thorn. Five bottles of Heart Rose. Do you have any kind of psychotropic extract?"

"I don't know."

"You don't know what you have?"

"I don't know what psychotropic means."

Siderius rubbed his temple before answering, "it's a type of substance that influences another person's behaviour. Similar to alcohol that makes you drunked."

"Oh? Mind altering extract, huh?"

Erin looked to the back of her head and thought deeply. "I do have the Screaming Moss and Crying Sphere that I showed you previously. Want to buy that?"

Siderius shook his head. "Those are too strong and too negative. I need something more subtle that can influence positive feelings."

"There is a location that has a lot of mental altering mushrooms… They called it Smiling Redcaps. When people eat those mushrooms, they can't stop smiling for an entire day."

"I'll buy the information for that location."

"Twenty silvers?"

"Ten."

"Sold!"

The transaction was settled. Siderius bought two bottles of Bael Thorn, 20 silvers each, five bottles of Heart Rose, 80 silvers each, and the location of the Smiling Redcaps.

Siderius had 13 Gold Coins, 106 Silver Coins, and 87 Bronze Coins. Most of them he looted from Blair.

The price of the items were 5 Gold Coins and 10 Silver Coins. That left Siderius with 8 Gold Coins, 96 Silver Coins, and 87 Bronze Coins.

"Happy to do business with you, Snow. Don't use those mushrooms too much, okay? Those aren't good for you. If you are addicted, I have something to combat it."

Siderius rolled his eyes. "Get out of here, witch! I don't need it for my personal amusement."

With that, they parted ways once more. Siderius left first. He could see the hope in Erin's sparkling gaze. She wanted to be his friend and stayed close to him.

"We can't be friends, Erin. We are destined to kill each other." Siderius thought to himself. He looked back to see Erin smiling brightly and waving at him. "If only there is a way for witches to reform."

Reaching Silver III opened up a sigil slot for Siderius. He wasn't in a hurry to go to Paratus and wanted to grow his power first. Who knew what kind of danger lay ahead of him. He better prepared well.

However, the Smiling Redcaps were in the Foglight Forest. A forest that was covered in the mist all year round. It was a few weeks' journey from here.

"Going to Foglight Forest will extend the time it takes to deal with Anthony. He and the list is closer to me. Should I go to Paratus first?"

Siderius took out a gold coin and flipped it. Heads for Paratus. Tails for Foglight Forest.

The coin landed on tails.

"Hmmm. With the amount of Light Aether I have absorbed. Fate favors me. Going to Paratus might have some danger. The local Grove should be investigating Blair's death as well.

Power first. Then revenge later. I only have one life."

Siderius snapped the reign, dashing in the night on his steed, Red.

The hunter didn't know that he had just evaded an ill fate. Paratus had a lot of witches at that time of the year. Many witches arrived at Paratus to join the Black Market Auction that Anthony hosted.

The Grove Burier that was tracking him also expanded her investigation to the nearby town. If Siderius appeared in Paratus, he would have met the Burier and all the witches that were there.

The lonely wanderer once again continued on the road. Days passed by and he slowly left the coastal area.

He left the North even further, delving deeper into the South. Snow appeared less and less, until it barely covered the ground.

This area was warmer in the winter and had more humidity. The spiky pine trees were replaced with large evergreen trees with big roots spreading all around.

When Snow reached the edge of the Foglight Forest, no amount of snow was even visible.

"This kingdom has a really diverse climate."

After many days of tiring travelling, he set up a camp on the edge of the Foglight Forest.

Siderius took off his bear cloak as it had become extremely hot. He only wore the black uniform with gray ghoul-skin armor outside.

As he was cooking his meal, a scream echoed through the forest.

Siderius snapped his head toward the direction.

"Stay here." Siderius said to Red.

The hunter grabbed the sword on Red's side. He then extended his hand for Lycan to jump on his shoulder. The pair darted away.

The forest ground was uneven, travelling by foot was faster than riding Red.
