I Am The Only Witch Hunter

Chapter 254: Master of Bombs

Silence fell to the dining room.

Ruben rested his chin on his hands and leaned forward. "How did you do that, Master Nyx?"

"The same way every witch does anything, Lord Arist."

Siderius tapped his chest, activating the fake Mana Core that he had installed on himself. A dense flood of mana washed over the room and disappeared just as quickly.

"You are a High Lord?" Ruben widened his eyes.

"Yes, Lord Arist. But I hope you can keep this a secret. I am on what you can say a secretive journey. I don't want many people to know about me."

Ruben nodded. "I will make sure no one talks about your arrival."

"I also need to borrow one of your forge. If possible, I would like some materials as well. I can pay you handsomely for those materials."

Ruben shook his head. "If it's not that much of value, let me pay for those materials, Lord Nyx. It is the least that I can do."

"Well. I would be a fool to refuse such kindness. Much appreciated, Lord Arist."

With that, the dining came to a close.

Nina didn't want to leave Siderius but Dolores pulled her away.

"You need to keep your dignity, child! If you don't, he won't care about you."

"But... But..."

As for Siderius, he ignored most of those signs and returned to the guest room and rested. Lycan was running around in his room, practicing its ability.

The wolverine had become smarter and smarter everyday. When Siderius was still in Santa Roberto and trained Ashe, Lycan picked up those trainings and started to practice by himself as well.

The wolverine was twice as big as he once was. It weighed heavily on Siderius' shoulder every time it climbed on. Luckily, Siderius also became twice as big to accommodate the wolverine.

He removed his shirt, leaving only his pants on. The muscle on his shoulders bulged like living animals. It was easy to understand why that blonde maid and Nina were so impressed by him.

Not only did he had a woman killer's face, his body was also top notch, more defined and structured than most of the knights of Eldoria.

"Ten points are the peak of human physique. After that, the human body will start to mutate and have more natural powers.

My Strength, Agility, and Stamina are all at seven points. Soon, I will reach the epitome of human physique."

Siderius fed Lycan some food he brought from the kitchen. Then the witch hunter drifted to his slumber.

The next day, Ruben kept his promise and prepared all the materials for Siderius.

The major components were animal blood, iron ores, sand, and clay.

The animal blood and sand were to make Saltpetre. Siderius intended to make more bombs as he had used up quite a lot of his bomb reserve. The byproducts of Saltpetre production would also yield Iron Blood, which could be used in producing Dull Steel.

Iron ores and sand were to make Dull Steel and the mask.

Ruben emptied out a forge of his clan and provided it to Siderius. The noble also asked if Siderius needed men to help him but Siderius politely declined. He couldn't let strangers know his secret technique.

When everyone was gone, Siderius began his work.

First, he took a bowl and gave it to Lycan.

"Just as usual, boy." Siderius patted the wolverine head and said.

Lycan saluted then dragged the bowl to a more secluded corner. Siderius had been using its urine to make Canis Fetorium.

It was a different formula than the previous one. Canis Fetorium originally was a byproduct for Wolverine Anabolism. Siderius obviously wasn't going to kill Lycan so he designed a different formula to yield Canid Fetorium as the main product.

Siderius started with making the Saltpetre. This was the exact same process as when he first made it using George's forge in Rivertown.

He separated Nitrogen from the blood and then fused it with the oxygen in the atmosphere, creating nitrate. Then he acquired potassium from burned charcoal and created Saltpetre.

The residue of the animal blood turned into Iron Blood.

He then used the Iron Blood with the Iron Ores and created Dull Steel.

Lycan returned with a full bowl of piss. Siderius used Lycan's waste and combined it with a few herbs that he had collected from Tanya before to recreate the process of making Canis Fetorium.

These were all formulas that he had done previously.

Now, Siderius started to create new things.

The first was the Toxic Bomb. Siderius mixed Canis Fetorium with zinc dust and a chlorine source to create a mixture that would form a fine green mist.

Zinc was common and Ruben had already prepared it for Siderius. The difficult component was the source of chlorine.

This involved a very complicated process of creating a substance using all the three primes to put in the compartment. The main ingredients for it were Salt, carbon dioxide, and the spirit of salt.

This mist, when exploded from the clay ball, would create a thick curtain to blind the enemy. Because the smoke would be created by the Zinc Chloride, not only would the smoke veil act as concealment but also as a toxic gas when inhaled.

Zinc Chloride was very water-sensitive. If inhaled into the lungs, all the water would be absorbed to create the spirit of salt, adding more damage to the enemy.

However, there was an issue with this design. This Toxin Bomb would harm both the enemy and Siderius if he was also in the effective area. However, he already planned to circumvent this weakness with the built-in filtration system for the iron mask.

The Toxic Bomb discombobulated the enemy through smell, blinded them with the thick smoke cloud, and also poisoned anything that was inside its effective radius. It was more of an offensive tool than a defensive one. That was why Siderius named it Toxic, not Smoke.

The exploding mechanism of the Toxic Bomb was also different from the previous designs. Because the goal of the explosion was to spread the mixture, not igniting it. Only a small amount of black power was used and it was placed in the center compartment. The mixture and other complimented materials were placed around the center compartment, making sure the cloud would be spread evenly at the point of explosion.

Siderius created the Toxic Bomb and also replenished a few of the bombs he had used along the way.

Currently, he had six different types of bombs.

Slag Bomb. The bomb with the flammable slagpaste inside. This bomb had increasingly fallen short in Siderius' journey so he only kept a few of it.

Explosive Bomb. The average black powder and sulfuric acid bomb. It didn't have the most power but was still useful overall. It was very good for destroying structures. Siderius kept a good amount of it.

Phosphorus Bomb. The destructive Phosphorus flame was still as effective as ever. Siderius replenished this bomb to his arsenal.

Pellet Bomb. The bomb with the Brick Beans inside. When it exploded, it sent countless spherical pellets in all directions. It had the highest damage in terms of power, even surpassing the Phosphorus Bomb. Siderius always kept at least seven of these in his pouches.

Odor Bomb. The bomb with only Canis Fetorium inside. It created a thin green mist that made everyone inside vomited or loose balance. Very situational but still useful.

Toxic Bomb. The newest variation. It had less power than the Pellet Bomb but had much more effects, blinding, incapacitating, and poisoning all at once.

"I have become a Walking Bomb Storage." Siderius chuckled. "The design is a success. It is stable. But I have to test it in actual combat to know how effective it is.

Now, let's move on to the mask."
