The witch quickly got back on her feet.
Belle's arms extended unnaturally and poked at Siderius like spears. Her nails grew longer and were sharp like knives.
But she couldn't reach Siderius. He moved with the reflex of a cat, a speed of which a human shouldn't be capable.
"How can you do this?" Belle growled.
Siderius became faster. He turned into a blur and approached her.
"You should never disrespect a lord."
Siderius grabbed her head and pulled it down. His knee shot up, crushing Belle's nose.
Blood immediately flooded out as Belle stumbled backwards.
Siderius kept his distance close. He widened his stance and delivered a roundhouse kick right at her liver.
Her entire body shrunk because of the pain. Her muscles shut down as she crumbled down to the floor.
Siderius grabbed her hair and pulled her head up.
"Return to the Burier and tell her. If she wants to meet me, she has to come here herself."
Siderius punched the witch so hard she went rolling on the ground.
"I will not react too kindly next time."
Belle's body returned to normal. Her additional hands disappeared. She also transformed into a young woman, no longer the teenage girl from before.
Morphomancy was an art of controlling one's body and transforming it to whatever the witch's like. It could be used for espionage and disguise, but also a great tool for fighting if one knew how to use such magic.
Belle was surprised by Siderius' power. She thought she was going to face a weak newborn witch. But she was deadly wrong.
Belle knelt and bowed at Siderius, giving him a proper respect a lord should have.
"Please forgive my disrespect, my lord. I am grateful for your mercy." Belle said.
If Siderius was to kill her right there, he was still in the right. She knew that he was letting her go. That was a favor she had to acknowledge.
Siderius nodded and waved his hand dismissively.
The young witch looked around before going through the door and disappeared.
Teddy quickly went over to Siderius and knelt down. "I have failed you, my lord!"
"Stand up, Teddy. She's a Morphomancy witch. Ordinary people won't be able to tell the difference.
But you did make a mistake. A close examination would have exposed her."
Teddy put his head on the ground. "Please punish me, my lord."
"Punishment is a must."
Tarr quickly came to Teddy's side and knelt with him. "Please don't punish him, my lord. It is my wrongdoings. I recommended her."
Siderius raised an eyebrow.
The other members quickly came to their sides and knelt with them.
"Please punish us also, my lord. We aren't able to recognize her disguise as well."
Siderius smiled. "You have recruited some fine people, Teddy."
Teddy scratched his head.
Siderius placed a single gold coin on the table. "The fund for our operation.
Considering Teddy has done a great job in creating a new base for our guild, there will be no punishment this time.
But remember. I do this because all of you are begging for him. I will not tolerate another failure."
"Yes, my lord." The members roared in unison.
"Come with me, Teddy. I have new tasks for you."
"Yes, my lord."
With the establishment of a branch in Blacklungs, Siderius moved on to 'refine' the structure between the members.
Xander didn't have that much of a purpose, other from being one of Siderius' forces. But for it to be successful, it needed to have one.
Siderius didn't want to follow Shadow Blade's footstep and became an assassin guild. Assassination was very profitable but that alone wouldn't make Xander more powerful. It also lowered the image of the guild from a mysterious background to a mercenary force.
Xander wouldn't take assassination. They took and sold information. As for assassination, Xander would only do jobs from within the guild, not taking bounties from outsiders.
Siderius told Teddy about his plans and what Teddy needed to do.
First was to create a connection with Kraus' own intelligence network. Kraus had gone around the North to create sleeping members for Xander. Blacklungs was more in the South and could expand Siderius' influence.
Secondly, Siderius also told Teddy to pick a few capable members to send them to Santa Roberto for further training.
Henry was Lord Warden of Santa Roberto. He was more than capable of training these men. Siderius had also allowed him to train with Ashe and used the same Witch Hunting Training Regime.
Third was to establish a trade with the Blacklungs. Santa Roberto had already begun to create its own merchandise and the branch in Blacklungs could help circling these items better.
Fourth was to establish information trading. This needed time and effort. Siderius had devised a plan for Teddy to slowly introduce this to the guild.
"And the last thing Teddy."
"Yes, my lord?"
"No witch or witch servant can join our guild. You understand?"
"I understand, my lord."
With that, the branch of Xander in Blacklungs continued to develop in silence.
Siderius and Rea stayed in a safehouse that was prepared by the guild. He intended to go on a journey to Paratus and ended the debt with the assassin.
Once he finished that assassin, there would only be Lyara left. The last name on the list.
That night, Tarr came to the safehouse and knocked on the door.
Rea opened the door. "Yes?"
"The handler has ordered me to give this letter to Lord Watcher. He said that he has found what our lord was looking for." Tarr gave Rea a sealed letter.
"Thank you, Tarr."
Tarr tapped his chest and bowed. "Please give my respect to the lord."
The kind went away quickly.
"Serious little kid." Rea said.
She closed the door and went back inside. Siderius was kneeling near the window and infusing his Aethers.
"What is it, Rea?"
"It is a sealed letter from Teddy, my lord."
"Let me see."
Siderius broke the seal and looked inside. A brief excitement appeared in his eyes.
"Is it good news, my lord?"
"Potentially. Teddy has learned about the existence of a Chaos Beast near Blacklungs. A bat..."
Ordinary bats had a unique hearing ability. A Chaos Bat potentially would have a similar ability but more powerful. It would be a great candidate for Siderius' first Sonara.
Sonara was short for Sonarus Extima, mutation of the ears.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
"Weird... Did Tarr forget something?"
Rea was about to approach the door but Siderius stopped her.
"Our visitor is not friendly."
