Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 1917: Taking Three Kids Out

This is simply too defying of the natural order!

Bai Ruozhu was so excited she almost jumped up. She wanted to practice the magic technique but found it difficult to progress because her essence was limited, and the cultivation speed for essence was very slow, requiring a lot of time. But now, these no longer mattered—she could increase her essence just by eating!

She carefully wrapped the remaining half of the beggar's chicken and took it out of the space.

She wanted to give it to her family to taste and see if it had any benefits for them.

Unexpectedly, as soon as she came out, she found Jianqi and the others were looking for her. She secretly stuck out her tongue, realizing she'd been too excited and stayed inside the space for too long, making Jianqi and the dark guards think she had vanished into thin air.

"Ruozhu, where did you run off to?" A shadow rushed over like the wind, embracing her tightly. Because the movement was too abrupt, her cheek hit his cold and hard armor, causing her to gasp in pain.

"I went to make beggar's chicken. Try it and see how it is?" Bai Ruozhu didn't think Jiang Yichun had returned to the residence and was also looking everywhere. She hurriedly tore off a chicken leg and stuffed it into his mouth, whispering, "I went there."

Jiang Yichun, with the chicken leg stuffed in his mouth, glared at her angrily but couldn't bear to blame her, so he vented his frustration on the chicken leg, biting it fiercely.

"How is it? Tasty?" Bai Ruozhu asked with a look of expectation.

Jiang Yichun nodded and took another bite.

"Do you feel anything in your body?" Bai Ruozhu asked quietly.

"Feel what?" He carefully felt, "Seems like nothing."

"Do you feel any more essence in your body or a warm flow of energy?" Bai Ruozhu persisted.

Jiang Yichun carefully felt again, "No."

"Ah, does it not work on you?" Bai Ruozhu was somewhat disappointed, "I'll try it on my parents."

She didn't wait for Jiang Yichun's response and quickly rushed towards the yard where her parents lived. Jiang Yichun shook his head helplessly and could only use lightness skills to follow her.

In the end, Bai Ruozhu let her family try the beggar's chicken. Everyone said it tasted good but felt nothing. When Bai Ruozhu checked their pulses, she found they didn't have any extra essence, seeming this benefit was exclusive to her.

She pondered again, perhaps because her family hadn't cultivated essence and didn't know magic technique, so they had no special feeling. If Ning Yu were here, perhaps eating it would increase his essence?

Thinking about the missing Ning Yu and Princess Diao Bin, her mood dipped again.

Later that night, back in her room, Jiang Yichun held her hand and said, "Did you roast the chicken with essence, hoping we would all have essence?"

Bai Ruozhu couldn't help it and laughed out loud, then with a thought, pulled him along and held the two small buns, entering the space together.

"Come with me," she said with a smile, "There's something good growing here."

Jiang Yichun took the heavier Bengbeng, afraid she would be tired, and followed her to the small tree in the forest.

"I don't know if it can grow animals, but it looks like a tree that can light up, and the light can gather into a living animal. That mountain chicken grew from this tree, I roasted it and found it can increase the essence in the body." She pointed to the small, low tree, or rather it looked more like a sapling.

Little Tiaotiao reached out a small hand towards the tree, seeming to really like it too.

Jiang Yichun looked at the tree in disbelief, couldn't help but touch the green leaves, and the tree suddenly shook as if it was being tickled and laughed.

It then emitted a faint glow, forming a light shadow on the treetop which slowly turned into a lively little deer.

The little deer, upon landing, licked Jiang Yichun's hand and also Bengbeng's little feet, looking extremely adorable with its wet eyes.

Bai Ruozhu was also charmed by the little deer, went over to stroke its back, and confirmed it was a real deer.

At this point, Xiaohei came over, drooling while staring at the little deer. Bai Ruozhu quickly stopped Xiaohei, saying sternly, "Do not eat this deer; you can eat any other animals that come."

Xiaohei reluctantly barked, glaring at the deer angrily, seemingly a little jealous, then walked away. But the little deer continued to play happily, eating the nearby leaves and seeming not afraid of Xiaohei at all.

Jiang Yichun snapped out of his daze, muttering, "The tree really did grow a deer."

Bai Ruozhu laughed loudly, "Alright, let's head out, lest we draw outside attention by being gone too long."

"Mm," Jiang Yichun responded dazedly, and the next moment, followed Bai Ruozhu back to the room. But the next second he cried out, "Ruozhu, Bengbeng is missing!"

Bai Ruozhu was shocked, hurriedly put Tiaotiao on the bed beside her, and didn't care to bring Jiang Yichun, immediately trying to enter the space alone.

At this moment, little Bengbeng was comfortably lying on the ground, waving hands and feet at the little deer beside him, without a care that his parents were gone.

Bai Ruozhu hurriedly hugged Dengdeng out of the space, her emotions in turmoil. Previously, when she brought Dengdeng into the space, as long as she left it, Dengdeng would also come out. But now, as long as she wished, she could leave others alone inside the space.

"How did you leave him inside?" Jiang Yichun saw her bring Bengbeng out, breathed a huge sigh of relief but asked puzzledly.

"It means I can leave the children in a safe place there. Isn't that a good thing?" Bai Ruozhu said happily.

Then she pulled him into the space again, left the space herself, but quickly realized this trick didn't work on Jiang Yichun.

She tried it with Tiaotiao and it worked. Could it be the method only worked on children?

Later, thinking carefully, maybe it had to be children with her closest blood relations. Like before, her Beast Pet Xiaohei and the Poisonous Insect Furball could stay in the space with her because of a blood contract. Now the space had upgraded, and her children could also stay inside.

"Achun, we can take Dengdeng and the three little ones when we go out; let them play there when it's safe and bring them out, with Xiaohei taking care of them. Isn't that great?" Bai Ruozhu said excitedly.

Jiang Yichun paused, "Taking three out..."

Why did he feel like she was daydreaming? Three children could be as noisy as a thousand ducks; was she really sure she could handle it?

The next day, Bai Ruozhu told Gao Zhou and Jiao Ling the news Muyu brought back.

"When do you plan to leave? I'll accompany you for a trip," Gao Zhou said directly, though he seemed a bit dispirited these days, appearing to lack energy.

"Thank you for your hard work, Father," Bai Ruozhu saluted him. He waved his hand impatiently, "No need for thanks, we're all family. Even if you don't want me to go, I wouldn't be at ease."
