SSS Ranked Awakening: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 211: Faith

Loriel was drowning in her own conflicted emotions right now, while Liora and her father were shocked by Seraphine's sudden breakthrough.

Yet even more than that, what surprised them both was the fact that they both knew one of the streaks of light fighting the grotesque black monster was Liora's mother—and Andrew's wife.

Andrew didn't know. His wife had told him she came from far away and was a strong person, but he never knew the extent of her power. He just knew she was stronger than he was.

But right now, seeing the sight in front, he felt proud and, at the same time, prayed that she would emerge victorious.

Seeing his daughter looking at him with questioning eyes, he only shrugged his shoulders, which made Liora focus intently on the fight ahead. She had so many questions in her mind she wanted to ask her mother, and that would only be possible if she defeated the monster, which looked too terrifying to her.

Her hands were clenched tightly as she sent constant prayers to her mother.

Leon's eyes were locked onto the constant clash between the monster and the two women. One was using her double-edged sword while the other used her thin, sleek rapier to battle the monster.

Seeing such a thin blade holding off the violent clash of black tentacles, which resulted in loud sounds, he was surprised by how such a fragile-looking weapon could resist those attacks.

The fight looked quite even to him as of now. Through his spatial awareness, he could get very detailed information; however, he couldn't use his attacks from such a distance. He needed to get closer if he wanted to use spatial attacks on the monster.

He had other ways to attack even from here, but right now, it didn't seem like they needed any of his help.

The chains of light element and other constructs like spears and swords were slowly but surely chipping away at the monster. The black mass from which it was made was being evaporated.

If it went on like this, they would surely win after some time.

Leon's focus was completely on the fight while at the same time protecting Seraphine. The way they were using the light element gave him insight—especially their Aura, which both of them were using, and which had definitely crossed Level 2.

The stench was holding him in place; however, that didn't mean he was idle. Mana inside his body surged, and in an instant, a spear made of ice began forming—not just any ice spear, but one made out of concentrated ice element.

He was gripping the spear in his right hand tightly. It only took him a second to create such a weapon. His mental power was off the charts.

Two hundred mana was used as if it were nothing, yet he didn't stop there. Compressed lightning appeared out of thin air, starting to form around the spear.

The pure icy blue in his hand cracked with intense golden lightning, which terrified almost everyone close to him. Liora and her father even unintentionally took a few steps back. The energy emanating from the spear was overwhelming to them.

Loriel also found the attack very impressive. She was sure that if it landed on the monster, it would give her senior and the mysterious lady some advantage for a while.

Yet what truly shocked her was how quickly he had formed the attack—and how in the hell he had so much mana. It was already absurd that he had been using his spatial element in such a way for so long.

However, now this? That should have been his limit, but he was doing these things casually.

Freak-out would be an understatement now. Her entire reality had been shattered. She was sure the amount of mana he held definitely surpassed even her senior and her own master, who hadn't tagged along.

He is not even in the Journeyman rank… Is this what a stronger connection to the gods will give you?

The Holy Son and the myths that followed weren't wrong in some regards. What was strange to her was how he was using so many different elements. Their scriptures at the church didn't say the Holy Son couldn't use other elements, so she was just unexpectedly surprised and believed that this Holy Son was special in some way.

The last record of having a Holy Son was during the time of the Dark Invasion, centuries ago. Since then, there had been no others, so she believed their god had some direct hand in this.

I am ashamed of myself for doubting my own God of Life for so long.

There was even a point when she had the blasphemous thought of whether their god was even real to begin with—the future Saintess questioning the very being of existence. She had never shared this with even her own master.

Everything she had learned about the God of Life and how great He was from the scriptures in the church—despite being a Saintess herself, she had never once received any message from Him, nor had He provided any power to her.

He was always there at the core of her belief and ideals, yet when their situation got worse and worse over the years, not once had He helped them.

The believers still had their faith, but it was not the same for her. She was slowly losing hers.

She remembered kneeling alone in that crumbling chapel three winters ago, begging for a sign. The wind answered. Nothing else.

But not anymore.

I might not have the answer to my question… but I have found someone… just by watching him, my faith is being restored… I truly am happy…

She wiped away the tear that had welled up in her eyelashes. The burden of guilt had become much lighter now, and she knew everything would be over and her faith would be restored once she talked to the Holy Son properly.

All her doubts would be cleared. She was sure of it.

After so long, Loriel's heart felt so much lighter.

Leon didn't just stop at the crackling icy spear of destruction yet. He used both his Level 1 Ice Aura and Lightning Aura and covered the spear with them. Only then did he feel it was ready to go out.

If this thing doesn't punch a hole through that oversized ball of nightmares, I'm switching to nukes next.

Seeing the monstrous boy using two different Auras as if it were nothing made the people's minds completely go blank for a second.

Many struggled to learn even one Aura; this boy was using two of them like it was routine. Even the tiniest bit of doubt they had—or could have had in the future—was gone now.

He was a monster of a completely different dimension from them.

They held their breath, waiting in anticipation to see what the terrifying spear would do to the monster, which two streaks of light had held.

With his spatial awareness, Leon was like an all-seeing hawk, searching for an opening to attack the center of the grotesque black ball from which many tentacles were emerging.

The red eyes were all over the black body. The largest one was on the central mass, and Leon wanted to target that bigger eye. He had noticed how the number of eyes was being reduced as the light-elemental attacks damaged its body little by little.

He was holding his breath for the right moment, as he had to be careful not to hurt the two women. That made it even harder to find the correct timing, especially when both of them were trying to reach closer to the eye but failing because of the hundreds of tentacles stopping them.

Then, finally, he found the correct timing and the angle. It would have been impossible for him to do so this quickly if he hadn't kept his spatial awareness active the whole time.

The muscles in his entire forearm bulged. His hand moved back, crackling with deadly, snappy sounds of thunder, the Aura around it gleaming dangerously.

With great force, Leon launched his hand forward like a whip.

Let's see if you can digest this, abomination.

For those who were glued to him, his hand vanished completely for a second—it was that fast for them.

Boom!

The launch itself caused a shockwave around him, which wasn't felt by anyone, as Leon had intentionally offset it using his Air affinity. But the thunderous sound still remained, rumbling like a divine verdict across the plains.

The air screamed as the entire field shook, as if the sky had exhaled in shock.

At the same time, Seraphine's eyes also shot open.

A soft smile spread across her face, knowing she had finally achieved Level 2 in her lightning affinity aura. The lightning energy around her was finally absorbed into her body.

And a tear rolled down Loriel's cheek.

The moment had arrived.

The spear didn't travel—it was as if it had been teleported to the monster in the next instant. Even the women who were fighting were shocked. The attack was incredibly fast. Both of them had the same thought.

And that thought came from light-element users who were proud of their speed.

They had sensed the fluctuation in mana behind them and even guessed who was responsible for it, but they were caught off guard by how fast it arrived.

It was the fastest thing they had seen in their lives, but it was impressive nonetheless—especially since the attack was not made of the light element.

BOOOOOOM!!!

The air screamed as the spear tore through it, a high-pitched shriek of cracking ice wrapped in lightning. The sky above quivered. The ground shuddered. It was as if heaven itself flinched.

The spear made contact with the monster. Both of the women backed away to avoid the shockwave—or more precisely, to avoid being caught in the corrupted black mass directly.

A huge chunk of the black monstrosity was gone. It was shattered to pieces and flung everywhere—but masterfully avoided by Aurelia and Liora's mother, as if even destruction respected their movement.

"How… how can one person do that?" Liora whispered.

Andrew didn't answer. He wasn't sure Leon was a person anymore.
