Chapter 105: Distant Stars

Zhu Zhengwei was slightly startled.

His parents, and his elder brother, were all honest and simple village people, guileless and sincere.

Yet it was as if they were from a past life, having witnessed the miracle of his birth and maintaining an awe towards him... while his younger brother Zhang Zhi, born later, didn't hold such reverence and incessantly asked him questions from a young age.

Before him now was his elder brother's son, Zhang Tu, who was quite an outgoing child, unlike the reserved demeanor of his parents and elder brother.

Zhu Zhengwei turned his head to look at his elder brother and sister-in-law in the room.

His elder brother hesitated for a moment, rubbed his hands that were tidying up the dishes, and somewhat awkwardly said, "Why don't you take him out to have a look? The child has never liked staying in the village since childhood."

Zhu Zhengwei thought for a while, nodded, and patted the child's head, "Alright then, child, let's take you out to see the world beyond."

Indeed, he was low-key.

It wasn't because he feared trouble, nor was he timid.

Step, step, step.

Zhu Zhengwei took the child out of the house, then turned to the little elf nearby and said, "Bring over the mount."

Normally, Zhu Zhengwei would fly directly, but now he was taking someone with him.

"Yes." The little elf nodded.

The child stared curiously at the little elf but didn't bombard him with questions.

This was because he understood the history and races of this world, for a native of the Extraordinary World, elves, beastmen, and various ancestral witches were abundant, not surprising.

Very soon.

A giant bird with feathered wings landed before them.

It must be said, about the beastmen lineage, the research of that old radical institute was extremely aggressive, with a vast array of species and types.

Swish!

The two sat on the flying bird and ascended into the clouds.

Boom!

The wind howled fiercely.

The village below gradually faded into illusions, and after flying for a while, towns in the distance came into view.

"Those are towns, the world outside!" Zhang Tu gazed with yearning and curiosity, sitting on the large bird unable to contain his excitement and speechlessness, "This is the sky's world! Wow! There are birds flying in the distance!"

Evidently, the child was very happy sitting on the bird's back.

Zhu Zhengwei wasn't surprised; he himself had felt the same excitement during his first flight through the sky, novel, spectacular, mysterious, and feeling his own insignificance.

And Zhu Zhengwei was contemplating.

It would be wonderful if he could fly like this in reality.

"However, it's not too far off. With feedback, my real-world cultivation is gradually increasing; soon, I'll become a sixth-grade Martial Artist with Dantian."

"And once the seventh-grade breakthrough cultivation skill is researched here, I can directly break through in reality and start soaring through Earth's skies… becoming the first mythological figure in reality."

As they spoke, they were already flying over a vast country.

"What's that below?" Zhang Tu pointed down and asked.

"That's the territory of Yingxue Kingdom," Zhu Zhengwei replied.

"I've heard that kingdom isn't..." Zhang Tu thought for a moment.

"Times have changed, the world is in a phase of rapid development, evolving swiftly, they are now liberated," Zhu Zhengwei chuckled and said, "The outside world has long been unified by a new Mythical Emperor."

"Who's the current Sovereign?" Zhang Tu asked again.

"Chu Tiange."

Upon hearing this response, Zhang Tu blinked.

The name seemed familiar to him.

His father said, decades ago, in their home, this person was merely a servant whose injury in the outside world had turned him into a cripple, kindly adopted by their family.

Ah??

Even with his limited knowledge, he understood what this entailed, a servant from his home had unexpectedly become a Mythical Emperor ruling over the ancestral witches of the Twelve Countries.

In that instant, his mind went blank.

To truly express it, the feeling was like a scenario out of a Dragon King Returns novel, a rural youth from a poor village, dormant for twenty years, suddenly returns, where the world's strong men all exclaim: Master, and then holding the wealth of the world...

Simply bizarre!

He stood there, dumbfounded, ecstatic.

Zhu Zhengwei patted his small head, laughed, and said, "Don't think too much, the world is immense; so-called Mythical Emperors aren't actually that grand, and if you really want to pursue something, I can't help you much."

Zhang Tu asked puzzledly, "Even an emperor ruling an entire continent isn't considered formidable, is there anything more powerful in this world?"

Zhu Zhengwei shook his head, without directly answering, instead asked, "Do you know where we're going?"

"Where are we going?" He asked, riding the bird in the gusts of wind.

"To explore the world of stars."

Zhu Zhengwei pointed to the sky.

Stars?

His eyes widened.

Swish!

Before he could react, Zhang Tu felt as if they rushed to the limits of the sky, at the world's edge, suddenly like passing through some sort of membrane.

In the next second, he saw endless darkness.

Glorious, dreamlike bubbles, exquisite planets, suspended afar in the sky, countless, converging into a glorious vast Milky Way.

"This is??"

As he witnessed the scene, he was utterly shocked.

He stared blankly for several minutes before coming to his senses, finally understanding what his uncle meant.

Within such vast and broad infinite universe, a continent and an era's emperor is merely an ant, dust in the march of history.

Though he may see such reincarnated deities from the Outer World amongst these celestial bodies, he realized they were likely insignificant, extremely weak.
