Invincible Young Master in the City

Chapter 929: Return to Earth

The evil spirit flag was still hanging on the flagpole, but the surrounding mist of gloom grew increasingly severe.

Elder Wu and Wu Ding simultaneously spat out a mouthful of black blood. Ye Fan asked in surprise, "Senior Sister, Senior Brother, what happened?"

"This evil spirit flag, silently harming people, is truly terrifying. It seems Heavenly Peak Mountain is no longer safe. Junior Brother, let's go down the mountain!" Wu Ding assumed a defensive stance, eyeing the evil spirit flag fluttering in the wind.

No one dared to approach the evil spirit flag anymore, even though they knew Shen Biancheng and Bai He had already been absorbed into it. How the evil spirit flag came to be hung on the flagpole remained a mystery.

Min Shang looked at the heavily injured Wu Ding and Elder Wu, frowned, and said, "Why am I unscathed?"

Not only was Min Shang unharmed, but even Ye Fan and Li Zhaojun were safe, which puzzled Ye Fan even more.

Wu Ding examined the three and said, "Could it be that your constitutions and inherent spiritual energy can withstand the attack of the evil spirit flag? Or perhaps the flag is showing mercy to you?"

As night approached, Ye Fan said, "Quickly go down the mountain and find a place to meditate and regulate your breath."

Only when they reached the bottom of Heavenly Peak Mountain could they ride their flying swords, and less than sixty miles away, they reached a dense forest.

Wu Ding and Elder Wu needed to regulate their breath, but made little progress. Elder Wu opened his eyes and said, "The black mist's corrosion on the meridians cannot be removed. If Junior Brother hadn't intervened earlier, the mist might have gradually consumed us, just like Bian Cheng and Miss Bai."

According to Elder Wu, Shen Biancheng and Bai He's disappearance was due to their insufficient cultivation, and unlike Ye Fan, Li Zhaojun, and Min Shang, they couldn't resist the black mist's attack, leading to their absorption by the black mist. Wu Ding and Elder Wu were Body Integration Realm experts and only injured, not turned into spirits within the evil spirit flag.

In the midst of their conversation, Wu Ding suddenly became alert, extended his hand to set up a spiritual energy barrier, enclosing the leakage of the spiritual energy of the five people.

Ye Fan knew that this meant someone unfamiliar had intruded.

Soon, a voice could be heard, "Clearly, we were tracking them around here; why did they suddenly disappear?"

"Search the surroundings carefully again, then report back." After saying this, a group of cultivators left. With Wu Ding and Elder Wu injured, it was difficult to confront such a group whose cultivation levels were all generally above the Nascent Soul Stage.

Min Shang said, "Who are they?"

"Either they're from the Earth Origin Sect or from a mysterious force. It seems the Great Sorrow Region is also not a place for us to stay for long." Elder Wu suddenly looked at Ye Fan, "Junior Brother, don't you want to go to Earth? Let's head there for now."

Ye Fan curiously asked, "Senior Brother is coming with us to Earth?"

"It seems that's the only option now," Wu Ding nodded. "Ever since the gathering at Emperor Mountain, the great catastrophe foretold in ancient prophecies hasn't arrived yet, but the human disaster brought by the Earth Origin Sect has. We don't currently know the situation of the master and fellow disciples, but in our current state, we can't help even if we go. We might as well temporarily avoid it by going to Earth."

Ye Fan thought to himself, these two are top-tier cultivators in the Body Integration Realm, possessing the power to change the world. Such terrifying strength, if brought to Earth where only mortals gather, wouldn't it cause a great deal of trouble for the humans there?

"Min Shang, young martial niece, you can return. We'll go to Earth and won't be able to see you off," Wu Ding spoke with a hint of hostility towards Min Shang, perceiving her unnatural gazes towards Ye Fan.

Min Shang firmly shook her head and said, "I'm going with him."

Wu Ding didn't ask Min Shang but glared at Ye Fan, as if to say, "When did you charm another girl?"

Elder Wu, having no leisure to spare, looked at the sky and said, "Let's head to Earth as soon as possible. If there's another thunderstorm, the passage to the Pan Gu secret realm might be closed."

Ye Fan wanted to ask how to traverse between two worlds at will. Zhuo Junwu clearly hid something from him regarding the passage between the two worlds. It seemed that with the right method, he could return to Earth anytime, or perhaps enter the Pan Gu secret realm.

Elder Wu guided his magic sword at the forefront, while Ye Fan and Li Zhaojun embraced on the magic sword. Min Shang and Wu Ding each rode their own magic swords, but the two women focused more of their attention on Ye Fan.

After flying for more than four hours, they finally reached the first place Ye Fan arrived at when he entered the Pan Gu secret realm, the border between the Great Sorrow Region and the Chaos Field.

From afar, one could see the void within the chaos. Ye Fan asked, "What's in there?"

"No one knows. Anyone who went in, regardless of their cultivation level, never came out, and no words about it ever emerged from inside." Elder Wu was drawing some patterns on the ground, which looked like a wizard's spell, "Don't try it. According to ancient sayings, those places correspond to the void. Once inside, your body and consciousness will immediately collapse, as if you never existed."

Ye Fan thought, isn't that akin to a black hole in the celestial bodies?

A place where even light can't escape, what kind of destructive power does it have?

Once the diagram was completed, Elder Wu suddenly looked at Wu Ding and asked, "Junior Sister, do you remember the material symbol for Earth?"

Wu Ding glared at him and said, "If you don't even know this, how can you help Junior Brother return to Earth? Step aside!"

Wu Ding walked over, extended her hand to inject energy into the array, and in no time, the array formed a bright azure blue light. Ye Fan could tell it was the glow of Earth.

"Everyone step in!"

Wu Ding ordered, and everyone gathered around her, enveloped by the blue light. The scenery around them blurred as if reflected in the fragmented shards of a broken mirror, and eventually shattered into pieces, soon plunging their bodies into the chaotic void.

"Hold your breath and gather your mind!" Wu Ding commanded once more, and Ye Fan's spiritual sense seemed to be drained void.

In the midst of a dizzying whirl, Ye Fan could only use the most primal force to maintain the clarity of his spiritual sense.

After an unknown period, Ye Fan's faculties finally returned. When he opened his eyes, he found Li Zhaojun still lying in his arms. He was in a place full of birds and blooming flowers, precisely at the Earth's entrance connected to the Pan Gu secret realm, within a paradise-like cave in Kunlun Mountain.

Ye Fan enjoyed this feeling of holding Li Zhaojun amidst the flowers. By this time, Wu Ding and Elder Wu had awakened before them and were meditating to regulate their breath nearby, while only Min Shang was surveying the surrounding environment.

"The sky here on Earth... is so low." Min Shang pointed to the rocky ceiling of the cave, seemingly discontented with the oppressive setting, and looked at Ye Fan inquisitively.

Ye Fan said, "This is just a cave. The Earth's vast blue seas and skies are more suited for human survival than the Pan Gu secret realm. You'll understand once you step outside."

"Is that so?" Min Shang seemed skeptical as she continued observing some small creatures around, which didn't exist in the Pan Gu secret realm.

After a while, Li Zhaojun finally awoke. Seeing Ye Fan, her tense expression eased. When she noticed they were on the familiar Earth, she directly shed tears.

"We're back," Li Zhaojun said softly.
