Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong

Chapter 1367: Sudden Fierce Battle (Part 2)

Leo Ray shrugged his shoulders and replied, "As long as we understand the truth of the Era of Blankness, everything will naturally be solved."

"As for those Dark Elves who attacked us earlier, although it's unclear how they appeared, they don't seem to pose too much of a threat at the moment. Everyone just needs to be cautious and careful in response."

Hearing Leo Ray's words, the confused expressions of the group gradually faded, and they all refocused their attention on the surroundings.

"Your Majesty of the Humans, speaking of which, could the strange energy fluctuation we felt at the beginning be related to those Dark Elves who attacked us?"

Broy tried to suppress his nervousness and asked Leo Ray again.

"The energy fluctuations of those Dark Elves earlier were filled with hostility and were completely unhidden, which is clearly different from the subtle energy fluctuations we felt at the start."

Carefully recalling what he had seen and heard, Leo Ray responded, "The distinction between the two is quite evident."

"I agree with Your Majesty of the Humans."

Ruth nodded, agreeing, "On those Dark Elves, I felt a type of life force that seemed both similar and dissimilar, which is indeed completely different from the initial subtle life force."

"Your Excellency Ruth, what do you mean by a similar and dissimilar life force?"

Nal asked, still puzzled, "Could it be that those Dark Elves who attacked us just now aren't real life forms? What exactly are they then?"

"That's precisely what confuses me as well. They seem to be something between life and non-life."

Ruth gave a wry smile as confusion appeared on her face, "You're not alone; I've never encountered such a situation either."

"First, it was the subtle life force, then a sudden Mirage, and now these ambiguous life forms? It seems the discoveries at this Ancient Mine are more than we expected."

Leo Ray clapped his hands lightly, signaling everyone to continue exploring, and said, "Let's see what other secrets this Ancient Mine contains."

Having said that, Leo Ray gave Ruth a meaningful glance.

The secrets Leo Ray referred to naturally also included the real object of Ruth and the Light Half-Elves' quest at this Ancient Mine, as initially speculated.

"Your Majesty of the Humans is right; we must not let these things hold us back."

Ruth, seemingly unaware of Leo Ray's implications, quickly reorganized the Light Half-Elves' exploration formation and moved to the front of the group again.

After this, the group discovered several more teams of Dark Elf Miners similar to those earlier, differing only in numbers and appearance but almost identical otherwise.

Most of them would suddenly disappear during their attacks on us, while a few chose to flee upon seeing us, soon vanishing from our sight.

Admittedly, although these ambiguous life forms never engaged us in real combat, their abrupt appearances around corners and the sudden spread of killing aura made our hearts wary, without any slack.

Unconsciously, a strange atmosphere began to pervade our team.

"Your Majesty of the Humans, up ahead should be the management area of this nearby region."

In front of a passage exuding a deep aura, Ruth nodded to Leo Ray and said, "The management area is the core of the entire mining area, located in the most conspicuous places throughout the mine. It's usually where leaders work and store precious resources, with the most tightly deployed Magic Traps, possibly even housing a Self-destructing Magic Array, so please wait while we clear the path first."

"Understood, we'll leave it to you all then."

Hearing this, Leo Ray led our strong team to take a few steps back.

"Your Majesty of the Humans, you're too polite. We shall be right back."

Ruth took a deep breath and then led the Light Half-Elves into the passage, disappearing around its corner.

At the passage entrance, Leo Ray stood with his eyes slightly narrowed.

Although Ruth appeared solemn, there was a hint of excitement in her words, suggesting that what they truly sought might be in a management area within this Ancient Mine.

Yet, with this Ancient Mine shrouded in mystery and filled with mechanisms, finding what they need is no easy task. Thus, Leo Ray wasn't worried about them finding anything soon. Instead, he could use their trail to judge the approximate location of what they're truly after.

The reason Leo Ray was so interested in what the Light Half-Elves truly needed was mainly due to his curiosity.

Firstly, he was curious about what they were truly seeking. Secondly, he was intrigued by why the Light Half-Elves would lower themselves to search for it. After all, a group of Light Half-Elves traveling over mountains and rivers to search for something within the Ancient Mine's Dark Elf ruins was inherently an interesting matter.

As Leo Ray thought of this, a sudden, intense energy wave erupted from the corner of the passage ahead, followed by unfamiliar vast auras with a strong killing intent.

"Your Majesty of the Humans, it's the energy wave from the Summoning Array. It seems Ruth and the others accidentally triggered a Magic Trap!"

Nal Dragon, guarding the entrance, had a face full of seriousness and tension, quickly speaking to Leo Ray, "What should we do?"

"Of course, we can't stand by idly."

With a flip of his palm, several Tier 6 Detection Scrolls appeared.

As he activated them towards the passage, he said, "Let's go have a look."

With that, under Leo Ray's command, our strong ones moved out, swiftly heading into the passage in formation.

With their advancing steps, we quickly arrived at a spacious hall after turning a corner past the passage entrance.

In the hall's center, Ruth and ten Light Half-Elves were tightly surrounded by over twice the number of Golem Puppets made of black stone, all evidently at the Tier 6 level based on their energy fluctuations.

As we appeared, the golden Magic Patterns covering the black stone golems glowed brightly, each ascending into the air, raising massive fists from all directions aimed directly at Ruth and her companions in the center.

In an instant, the attack momentum of more than 20 Tier 6 experts was overwhelming, with fierce energy waves sweeping through the space, stirring up thick dust across the hall.

"Light Fortress!"

Ruth and her team reacted swiftly, quickly forming solid Magic Walls from light screens, attempting to slow the opposing offensive.

The solid black fists shattered the Magic Walls, emitting a crisp sound like breaking glass. In front of the golem puppets, whose strength was clearly superior, the defensive magic performed by Ruth and several Tier 6 Magic-type strong persons was evidently futile.

But at that moment, Leo Ray led our strong ones and the Dragonborn force to join the melee with the opposing side.

Among us, particularly the Flower and Wood Fairy strong persons led by Fanny and Crisis, also summoned over a dozen differently shaped Tier 6 Golem Puppets, instantly leveling the power advantage.

With Leo Ray and the others joining the fray, the battle-soaked hall became even more turbulent, with wave after wave of majestic aura clashing in mid-air, causing relentless gusts of wind to swirl around.

Yet, as our strong ones and the unexpected Golem Puppets fought intensely, none noticed a mysterious shadow quietly peeking out, silently watching all of this from the corner's shadows.
