Surrounded by a group of our strong individuals and ancient dark elf soldiers, Leo Ray couldn't help but slightly widen his eyes as he stepped through the city's gate.
On both sides of the road, there were numerous gray tower-shaped buildings.
These tower-shaped buildings were staggered and many had no doors on the ground level, resembling beehives stretching into the city's depths, clearly differing from the layout of typical human clan cities, more akin to some constructions in the Winged People's Barrier Region.
No wonder, as the Dragonborn have wings and are quite adept at aerial combat. Though limited by their bloodline, they cannot soar like true giant dragons in the sky's zenith, but they match the height of some elite magic-type strong individuals.
"Please rest assured, Your Majesty of the Humans; to welcome Your Majesty, the entire Royal Capital has implemented air traffic control, and no Dragonborn will appear above Your Majesty."
Davis stepped forward slightly from his position beside him and respectfully performed a chest salute.
"This is quite alright; I am just amazed at your creativity."
Leo Ray smiled and waved his hand in response: "I can even see quite a bit of classical human architecture from here."
"Your Majesty is right. In those days during the Silver Moon Era, the Dragonborn were, after all, a force dependent on the humans, gradually developing under their protection and help. This is something none of us will forget."
The Winged Prince Davis was generous in his praise, agreeing: "And now, the humans have emerged once again with a wise, brave, and excellent monarch, which deeply excites us all."
After Davis spoke, including Nal, the accompanying Dragonborn ministers and generals nodded in agreement and joined in the praises.
"Royal Highness Prince and everyone else are too kind; my ability to reach this point is owed to everyone who fought alongside me."
Hearing this from these individuals, most of whom he was meeting for the first time, turning him into a paragon, Leo Ray merely smiled faintly.
Leo Ray understood clearly that all of this was established on his overwhelming strength, of course, requiring some subtle means to make the others completely worship at his feet.
Guided and introduced by Davis, along with words of praise along the way, Leo Ray and his entourage delved deeper into the Dome City until they finally halted before a giant beehive-shaped building.
Though from afar it resembled a typical castle, it lacked any connection to the ground through doors, being composed entirely of sturdy and towering walls, fortress, and magic towers.
Nevertheless, Davis had evidently made meticulously thorough preparations, constructing a wide magic bridge even decorated with ribbons and flags.
"Royal Highness Prince went to a lot of trouble."
Leo Ray nodded slightly and continued to advance toward the castle.
Though with Leo Ray's abilities he didn't actually require these facilities' assistance, it clearly represented Davis' respect, deserving some acknowledgment.
"Your Majesty overpraised; compared to Your Majesty's monumental achievements, this is insignificant."
Davis' dragon face remained full of respect, and he waved his hand hurriedly.
Entering through the castle gate on the city wall, Leo Ray noticed upon entering the castle.
The furnishings and decorations here were almost indistinguishable from the human clan, except the ceiling height was significantly elevated, and the corridor considerably wider, sufficient for the Dragonborn to spread their wings during emergencies.
"Your Majesty, I have already prepared a feast; please move to the banquet hall."
Davis stated, just about to take a step forward when Leo Ray signaled him with a hand to stop.
"No rush, Royal Highness Prince; prior to that, I would like to meet your king first."
Leo Ray nodded slightly and spoke: "After all, I am but a guest; how could I not pay respects to the host?"
"Your Majesty speaks heavily; if our king were in good health, he would certainly greet you personally at the city gate."
A trace of sadness surged on Davis' face, immediately followed by a look full of gratitude: "Didn't expect Your Majesty would always think of our king; since Your Majesty has this intention, then I shall fully cooperate."
Saying so, Davis adjusted his course, proceeding toward the other side of the corridor: "Please, Your Majesty, this way."
The entourage proceeded along the wide castle corridor, soon arriving before a heavily guarded door.
Fully armed Dragonborn soldiers all respectfully saluted, then under Davis' indication, opened the door.
With the door opening, Leo Ray noticed quite surprisedly.
The entire room's furnishings and decorations were filled with warm hues, primarily pink, quite unlike the anticipated solemn and serious scene; Leo Ray even detected a subtle fragrance.
"Rather than a king's bedroom, it seems more fitting as a princess' chamber."
Leo Ray thought this as he stepped into the room's door.
At the room's end, a bed wrapped in pink drapes awaited. As Davis lifted the drapes, a flash of astonishment crossed Leo Ray's eyes.
Lying on the bed was actually a human girl, almost as sprightly and lively as Louise.
However, unlike Louise, she was enveloped in a special small semi-transparent magic barrier, her pale face with eyes tightly shut, even her lips were stark white, all except the slight movement at her chest, appearing extremely frail.
