Longevity Martial Arts: Grinding Experience in the Chaotic World

Chapter 344 Sharing Divine Spring and Divine Leaf

The Black Emperor snorted at the sight, retrieving a verdant green leaf from its own spatial dimension and tossing it to Kou Hai. "Take it! Don't say I'm stingy!" With that, it turned its head away, ignoring the crowd.

Wu Dewang chuckled and shook his head, retrieving two verdant green leaves from his spatial dimension and handing them to Ying Tianxing and Xing Lie. "Don't be disappointed, you two. Take these leaves." Ying Tianxing and Xing Lie accepted the leaves, gratitude showing on their faces. "Thank you, Brother Wu!" they said in unison.

Though they were only two leaves, they were already a rare and precious gift to them. Thus, the four of them managed to receive some things from the three despite it being scant. They, nonetheless, felt satisfied. After expressing their gratitude to Gu Sheng, the Black Emperor, and Wu Dewang, they returned to their respective spots to continue cultivating.

After leaving the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Zone, Gu Sheng and his group were startled to realize they were already in the East Desolation. Wu Dewang surveyed their surroundings and remarked thoughtfully, "We clearly entered from the Xiwu Desert, yet somehow ended up in the East Desolation. It seems that transmission array connects to the East Desolation."

A glimmer of greed and longing flashed in his eyes. "The power of those runes is simply too strong. If I could master those runes, wouldn't the Central Province's entire southeast, northwest, and center be mine to traverse at will? And wouldn't all treasures fall into my hands?"

Xing Lie sneered at his comment. "You think too highly of yourself! Do you even know how far the distance from the East Desolation to the Xiwu Desert is? It spans tens of millions of miles! Even an ordinary cultivator couldn't traverse it in ten lifetimes of flying! If we want to return home, we'll need to find another transmission array like it."

"Indeed," Gu Sheng said, scanning his surroundings with a furrowed brow. "The power of this transmission array far exceeds our imagination. It might have not only crossed space but bridged an extremely vast distance."

"What now?" Kou Hai asked anxiously. "We're so far from home—how can we get back?"

"I think we should first calm down and discuss this carefully," Ying Tianxing suggested. "We currently have two options: one is to search for local cultivators or towns for information on transmission arrays to return to the Xiwu Desert; the other is to try heading back to the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Zone to see if we can uncover clues to return home."

"I agree with Brother Ying's suggestion," Xing Lie nodded. "Moreover, I lean toward the second option. We already have a certain understanding of the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Zone. If we enter again, we might discover additional clues."

"But re-entering the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Zone carries immense risks," Wu Tianxiong said worriedly. "The fact that we managed to exit safely last time was pure luck."

"Risks are ever-present, but we have no better alternatives now." Gu Sheng took a deep breath and made the decision. "I think we should re-enter the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Zone. First, we need to locate that transmission array and understand its mechanisms; we might find a way home through it. Second, the Forbidden Zone may still conceal secrets and resources unknown to us, which could significantly benefit our cultivation."

"Brother Gu makes a solid point," Kou Hai voiced his support. "Furthermore, I believe we have the ability to safely navigate out of the Forbidden Zone again."

"I also think we should give it a try," Ying Tianxing added. "After all, this is our only clue at the moment."

Through intense deliberation and weighing of pros and cons, the group ultimately reached a consensus: to re-enter the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Zone and seek the path home. Although the road ahead was fraught with unknowns and challenges, they were steadfast in their belief that they had the ability to overcome any obstacle and find their way back.

As they stepped into the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Zone once more, they were greeted by an awe-inspiring and mysterious sight. Within the Forbidden Zone stood ancient trees towering to the skies, each leaf seemingly brimming with boundless enigmas. The air was suffused with an ancient and mysterious aura, filling their hearts with reverence.

"The atmosphere here is truly terrifying!" Kou Hai exclaimed in astonishment.

Ying Tianxing, meanwhile, stared intently ahead as though witnessing an inconceivable vision. "Look at those structures! Aren't those relics from the ancient era? I can almost feel the essence of that time," he murmured.

Gu Sheng inhaled deeply, his tone grave. "This place is steeped in ancient essence. Every brick and tile seems to be narrating age-old tales. We must tread carefully—this place undoubtedly hides many secrets."

As they ventured deeper into the Forbidden Zone, the surrounding scenery grew increasingly fantastical and mesmerizing. In the sky, clouds and mists swirled as if celestial maidens were gracefully dancing within. On the ground, peculiar flowers and grasses flourished in abundance, each one exuding a captivating radiance.

Just as Gu Sheng's party continued their exploration within the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Zone, a strange ripple of energy suddenly emanated through the air. The ripple spread swiftly, like waves across the surface of water, centered on a particular point.

"Buzz—" A low, resonant hum echoed through the air, seizing their attention.

Their vision brightened abruptly as a massive curtain of light materialized in the distance. This luminescent screen resembled a giant mirror, but instead of reflecting the nearby scenery, it displayed flowing temporal images.

"What on earth is that?" Kou Hai cried out in astonishment, his eyes fixed on the light screen as though afraid to miss a single detail.

Wu Tianxiong, his expression one of bewilderment, murmured to himself, "This is… a fragment of time?"

Gu Sheng furrowed his brows as he studied the images within the light screen, seemingly glimpsing a series of condensed epochs flashing rapidly. The era transitions of the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Zone, its ancient battlefields and edifices, and various objects vivid and lifelike unfolded before their eyes. Those ancient visuals seemed to pull them into an alternate timeline, allowing them to live through the grandeur and bloodshed of that historic epoch.
