The Ultimate Versatile Soldier King

Chapter 357 Easy Lesson

As expected, upon seeing Yang Wei and the other two in a scuffle, Fei Yuan immediately stepped forward to help. He grabbed the two thugs attacking Yang Wei, one in each hand, wrapped his arms around them, and forcefully restrained them so they couldn't move.

By this time, Yang Wei had already run back to the counter, crouched down, and took two unopened bottles of beer from a crate beside the counter. Holding one in each hand, he turned back to the two thugs restrained by Fei Yuan and, without a word, smashed a bottle over each of their heads.

"Bang~" "Bang~"

Blood spurted from the heads of the two thugs, trailing through their now colorful hair, over their foreheads, and dripped from their noses and mouths before falling off their chins.

This was the first instance of bloodshed in the brawl.

Upon hearing the sound of breaking bottles, everyone turned to look at Yang Wei. No one expected this skinny, bespectacled guy to be so ruthless.

Fei Yuan took a good look at Yang Wei, as if seeing him in a new light. He released the two thugs, who were obviously now a bit afraid of Yang Wei after being smashed, and patted him on the shoulder with a thumbs up: "Nice work, well done."

Yang Wei shrugged it off, wiped his beer-dampened hands with the hem of his shirt, adjusted his beer-bottle-thick glasses, and said relaxedly, "Piece of cake."

Luo Chao gave a slight smile, as he had anticipated this scene. Yang Wei was probably the most formidable of his three roommates, appearing gentle and weak on the outside but ruthless at heart.

Seeing Fei Yuan and Yang Wei had already dealt with their opponents, Du Xin couldn't help but be spurred on with a competitive spirit, hitting harder, targeting vital spots with every move, taking down his two opponents in no time.

Seeing that things were almost settled, Luo Chao knocked his opponent to the ground with a few punches and kicks. He didn't strike too hard, as if he unleashed his full strength, even some top foreign agents would find it overwhelming.

The four of them defeated the nine attackers in just a short time. It had to be said, they were indeed quite formidable.

If Luo Chao got serious, he could have taken down these nine people even faster. But he was at school to complete a secret mission, not to act as Superman. He was starting to enjoy the student life and didn't want his extraordinary fighting abilities to alienate the roommates he would be spending a lot of time with.

Luo Chao wiped his fists and walked over to Xu Hua, who was sitting on the ground in shock. He slowly squatted down to Xu Hua's level.

"Young Master Xu, we've fought and cursed. Let's talk calmly, shake hands, and become good friends. How about we let this matter go?" This was the second time Luo Chao had asked him this.

Xu Hua didn't know how to respond. He and his underlings had been beaten so badly, and with so many people watching, he'd lost all face. How could he continue at Huaxia University like this? It couldn't possibly end like this.

But if he said it wasn't over, he was afraid Luo Chao would grab and beat him again, which wouldn't be good.

While Xu Hua was tangled over the issue, a sharp pain shot through from his crushed hand, snapping him awake.

It turned out Luo Chao, seeing Xu Hua wasn't speaking, assumed he agreed to his proposal and attempted to shake his deformed hand as a gesture of peace and friendship.

Xu Hua quickly jerked his claw away, his facial muscles twitching from the pain. Using his uninjured left hand and feet, he quickly scrambled backward, trying to distance himself from the guy who put him in this state.

Xu Hua reached the doorway, quickly got up, and furiously pushed through the crowd at the door, running out.

Seeing their boss leave, his underlings didn't dare linger, avoiding the area where the four were, hobbling along after him.

They hailed two taxis, got in, and feeling somewhat reassured, shouted fiercely at the four, "I won't let this slide. I've remembered you four. Just wait, if I don't get revenge, I'll write my last name backward."

When Fei Yuan made a move as if to follow, Xu Hua was startled and hurriedly urged the driver to quickly drive off, leaving in a somewhat sorry state.

"Thud~"

The attention of the grinning four was drawn by a heavy thud.

Shen the Fatty sat heavily on the floor, dejected and muttering, "It's over, it's all over, they won't let me off..."

The Fatty had worked hard for over twenty years to have this restaurant, serving as both manager and owner. Offending the son of a health bureau chief could only spell bad outcomes.

Seeing Shen the Fatty look so forlorn, the four of them felt a bit guilty. After all, the incident started because of them.

Yang Wei walked over, found a piece of paper and a pen at the counter, swiftly wrote down a number, and handed the note to Shen the Fatty.

"If someone comes looking for trouble at the restaurant, just call this number. Someone will help you sort it out." Shen the Fatty took the note, half-skeptical.

Luo Chao looked at Yang Wei, his gaze thoughtful. It seemed Yang Wei's background wasn't simple.

"I'm hungry, let's go back and eat, grab some cold beer, and my cooking is actually really good." Fei Yuan was insistent on showcasing his skills.

"What do you mean go back to eat? By the time you're done cooking, we'll have starved. Let's go for some roadside barbecue on me." Du Xin dismissed the idea once more.

Luo Chao and Yang Wei shrugged, indicating they had no objections.

Seeing no more drama, the crowd dispersed. A large area around them emptied out, and they found a decent-looking stall, ordering four grilled fish and assorted skewers, piling up three full plates, and a case of beer. Du Xin ran to another stall, returning with a large plate of grilled lamb skewers.

"Let's start with a hundred skewers. If it's not enough, I'll fetch more later."

The four of them ate ravenously, one mouthful of beer following each bite of barbecue, thoroughly enjoying themselves.

The next day, in the dorm, the clock's hands reached exactly five o'clock, and Luo Chao's eyes snapped open, in perfect sync with the clock, thanks to his army training where he had to frequently undertake extreme missions, where even a fraction of a second's delay could lead to mission failure or even the demise of the entire special ops team. Thus, Luo Chao developed a habit of precision timing in everything he did.

As he opened his eyes, the alarm sounded right on cue. The other three in the room grumbled under their covers, unwilling to get up. Du Xin shouted irritably, "Break it, I don't want to hear that damn sound!" It seemed the wealthy young master had quite some temper when it came to waking up.

Luo Chao ignored him, got out of bed, dressed, and tidied up his bed, completing the entire process in under a minute.

He folded the school-issued blanket neatly, like a slab of tofu, displaying exceptional tidiness.
