"Your Majesty!?"
Ao Luan trembled upon hearing these words.
The only one who could be called "Your Majesty" by the little Phoenix was Sun Wukong.
Had she contacted her brother?
*Ao Luan felt somewhat dazed.*
*For so many years, she had been tirelessly searching for Sun Wukong, but there had been no clues until today.*
"Just present the Jade Seal?"
Ao Luan asked the little Phoenix.
"No problem,"
the little Phoenix replied.
Ao Luan immediately took out the Jade Seal. It appeared in her palm without anyone noticing, and a Phoenix suddenly appeared out of nowhere, flashing as it flew into the Jade Seal.
The Jade Seal then erupted with divine light, rising into the sky and displaying the design of the Wanling Map.
The enormous Wanling Map spun open, illuminating the entire sky.
At Lingshan, the White Robed Venerate, who could cover the sky with one hand, saw this scene.
"The Jade Seal,"
he looked at the Wanling Map with delighted surprise.
He thought the Jade Seal of the Three Realms had been taken by Sun Wukong, never expecting to find it in Ao Luan's possession.
With her, he could more easily realize the Pure Land.
However, the combination of the Jade Seal and the Heavenly Dao was not a good sign. The waves they emitted were just too great; it could act as a beacon!
The White Robed Venerate realized something was wrong.
"I must retrieve it,"
he thought, as a giant hand left the battlefield to envelop Ao Luan and the Wanling Map.
"Great Monk."
Another gigantic hand suddenly appeared, blocking him in the sky.
The Buddha used his divine skills, saying, "You promised me not to harm their lives."
"Rest assured, Great Monk,"
the White Robed Venerate replied, "I have no intention of harming their lives."
The Buddha did not believe him. His giant hand suddenly exploded with golden light and shattered with a boom.
The White Robed Venerate's giant hand was pulverized accordingly.
"What are you doing?"
The White Robed Venerate withdrew his hand and asked.
The Buddha clasped his hands together, "The Immortals of the Heavenly Palace are dealt with by the Buddhas of Lingshan. Great Monk, please quell your anxiety and be our guest for a while."
The White Robed Venerate frowned slightly and asked again, "How long must I remain a guest? Can you give me an answer?"
"Just one more day,"
the Buddha said. "Allow me one more day to consider."
The White Robed Venerate realized this was a delay tactic.
"You already know the truth, so why do this?"
The White Robed Venerate asked.
The Buddha shook his head without speaking.
The White Robed Venerate looked at him for a long time, knowing he was still seeking a solution in the chaos.
But this problem had been pondered over for tens of thousands of years without resolution.
"Then I will wait another day,"
the White Robed Venerate decided, not believing the Buddha could come up with an answer, and sat cross-legged before him.
Though the Jade Seal was important, it did not require his personal involvement.
On the battlefield, Sun Wukong's eyes burned upon seeing the Jade Seal.
"My Jade Seal!"
He suddenly exploded with power, wielding his Long Stick.
The Long Stick struck Gouchen, causing flames like a sea to crash into him.
Sun Wukong swung the Long Stick again, and it grew with the wind, blazing like a pillar of fire, tearing the sky and opening a crack in the void.
The crack expanded continuously, like a giant mouth, swallowing the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals into it with a whirl of hurricane force.
The soldiers and generals hurriedly evaded until the hurricane finally subsided ten miles away.
The Immortals looked on in shock.
"What kind of spell is this?"
"That crack is terrifying beyond measure."
"Certainly not an ordinary demon!"
"For the beings of the Three Realms, he must be killed!"
The Immortals put away their shock, their spirits aflame.
Suddenly, Sun Wukong swung his stick again.
This swing was like a volcano, rolling red clouds down towards Ao Luan, causing the Immortals to exclaim in shock.
"Heavenly Empress, be careful!"
The Immortals shouted.
Ao Luan's eyes narrowed, seeing the mountain-like Long Stick descending from the sky.
She gripped the Moon Wheel tightly, gritting her teeth, ready to charge forward, when a crack suddenly appeared before her.
With a "boom," the Long Stick crashed into the crack and, along with the sky-filling red clouds, was instantly devoured by it.
This moment of strangeness quieted everyone.
Sun Wukong observed his palm.
*His stick had been absorbed into a crack.*
"It must be destroyed!"
Sun Wukong's voice roared like thunder and wrapped in flames, he punched at the crack, intent on shattering it on the spot.
However, a red light suddenly shot out from the crack. In a flash, sand and stones flew, and the red light drew a rainbow arc, striking Sun Wukong.
Sun Wukong had no resistance, spat out a mouthful of blood, and was sent flying.
The Immortals were stunned, then gasped in shock.
Bounce, bounce...
In the silence, footsteps emerged from the crack, coming closer.
Everyone turned their gaze, as if someone was about to come out.
A figure emerged from the crack.
Flames burned around him, intensely hot.
"Brother, brother..."
The figure before Ao Luan was unbelievable to her. She wondered if she was dreaming.
It was Sun Wukong.
The real Sun Wukong.
Sun Wukong's divine light was restrained, and he smiled slightly, "Ao Luan, what is going on? I return to find you in a battle."
He glanced around, surprise appearing on his face.
*Did they all know he was coming back? Why were there so many people here?*
"Imperial Brother..."
The Jade Emperor was the first to react and stepped forward, asking, "Are you the Imperial Brother?"
"Of course,"
Sun Wukong nodded, then frowned slightly, "Is there anyone else besides me?"
The Immortals' faces instantly showed shock.
"Heavenly Emperor,"
"Is he truly the Heavenly Emperor?"
Some still couldn't believe it, until Emperor Qinghua stepped forward and saluted Sun Wukong, and they finally realized.
"Heavenly Emperor! It's really the Heavenly Emperor!"
"The Heavenly Emperor has returned!"
In an instant, the Immortals erupted in excitement, their shouts resonating throughout the Marching Cloud.
Sun Wukong felt increasingly strange.
"Who is that?"
He saw the enemy he had just knocked away flying towards Lingshan.
"Your Majesty..."
Emperor Qinghua was just about to explain when Sun Wukong noticed another presence.
"He's there!"
Sun Wukong flew towards Lingshan.
The Arhats blocking his way gave way, bowing as he passed.
Sun Wukong flew through their bowing ranks, his divine might inviolable, and reached the Great Heroic Treasure Hall.
He looked ahead and saw two Tathāgata sitting atop the Treasure Hall.
"Sun Wukong,"
the Tathāgata on the right spoke, "I didn't expect you to find your way back here too."
"It took me longer than you,"
Sun Wukong looked at this Tathāgata, "So you're the White Robed Venerate."
Upon seeing the White Robed Venerate, many questions in his heart were answered, but even more questions arose.
"Buddhist precepts, a single thought in the heart, all of heaven and earth knows."
Sun Wukong put aside his thoughts and asked, "You've done many evil deeds; why do you possess no karma?"
He was puzzled. The White Robed Venerate was entirely radiant, unstained by any impurities or evil, his aura extremely similar to the Buddha's, ethereal like holy—yet this should be impossible.
The White Robed Venerate had killed countless beings and created a false Pure Land; even if he wasn't deeply sinful, he should at least not be this clean...
