The Supreme Beauty Fell in Love with Me

Chapter 782: Lin Chuan Cooks

Lin Chuan's heart was free of any distractions as he covered Qingzi with the blanket. He leaned in and gently kissed her on the forehead. Then he lowered his head and said, "Qingzi, you silly girl."

............

The next morning.

Qingzi felt an intense headache, almost as if her head was about to explode. She lay on the bed and hurriedly flipped off the blanket, only to find her clothes neat and in order, with no signs of disarray. She immediately breathed a sigh of relief. Gently massaging her head, the pain seemed to ease a little.

Suddenly remembering something, Qingzi rushed out and stood on the outside corridor, looking around. She didn't see Lin Chuan anywhere. A look of disappointment immediately crossed her face, and she slowly sat down.

"I knew it, I knew it…" Qingzi muttered with disappointment, "Was everything last night just a dream, Mr. Lin Chuan, have you really left?"

Qingzi sat on the steps of the corridor, her eyes brimming with tears.

At that moment, a voice came, "Qingzi, are you awake?"

Qingzi was stunned; she could hardly believe her eyes, even feeling a bit shocked. Her body shuddered. Looking up and turning to the right, she saw Lin Chuan holding a tray, standing at the kitchen doorway.

The rising sun from the east shone on Lin Chuan; his radiant smile, amidst the brilliant sunlight, made him seem like the most handsome man in the world at that moment.

Bathed in the morning sun, Lin Chuan looked exquisitely handsome, with features sharp and well-defined as if sculpted. He had a rugged yet casual appearance, but the sparkle in his eyes was not to be underestimated. Underneath his thick, dark hair was a pair of clear and passionate eyes that could easily captivate one's heart. His prominent nose and moderately full, red lips were set into an enchanting smile.

"Mr. Lin Chuan." Qingzi quickly stood up, ignoring her disheveled hair and ruined appearance, tears streaming down as she sprinted towards Lin Chuan and embraced him from behind.

"What's the matter?" Lin Chuan asked with a smile.

"I missed you, I really missed you so much." Qingzi said with a sob: "Thank you, thank you for not leaving me. Thank you!"

Thousands of words seemed inadequate for Qingzi to express herself at once; she felt as if something was constricting her. Her whole body seemed to tremble. However, this time it was a happy trembling, an excited one.

"Silly girl, go and wash up, I've already made breakfast." Lin Chuan laughed.

"Oh my!" Qingzi exclaimed, covering her mouth: "Mr. Lin Chuan, how... how could you cook? This is my fault, really my fault."

While speaking, Qingzi hurriedly took the tray from Lin Chuan's hands, saying, "Let me do it, it should be my job."

"It's the same if I do it," Lin Chuan laughed.

"How could that be okay?" Qingzi hurriedly shook her head, saying, "You're a man, how can a man be in the kitchen?"

In the traditional mindset of Japan, male superiority over females is quite normal. Even though Qingzi is an exceptional and powerful woman, she still couldn't break free from the traditional Japanese female constraints.

In the eyes of foreigners, Japanese women seem to live in such an aggrieved manner, yet they themselves don't feel it. They believe that this is how women should live. Japanese women are accustomed to their husbands coming home late at night and think that even if their husband is involved with other women, it is just part of the scene because his heart is still with her and the children. When the husband hands over his income to her faithfully every month, she feels the utmost satisfaction of being a wife.

Japanese women tend to believe: if a man can go out and be promiscuous, it shows his vitality and ambition. A real man is not one who comes home early every night to stay with his wife and children with nowhere else to go.

It is this mindset that constrains Japanese women and also keeps them oppressed, unable to turn over a new leaf.

Lin Chuan, on the other hand, was somewhat unaccustomed to Qingzi's behavior.

Qingzi placed the breakfast on the table and then pushed Lin Chuan down on the chair by his shoulders, making him immobile.

With no choice, Lin Chuan sat down and then said, "Qingzi, you haven't washed up yet."

"Mr. Lin Chuan, I'm truly sorry, I'll be right back," said Qingzi, running out quickly and diving into the washroom. After a quick wash and tidying up, she jogged back to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for Lin Chuan.

In fact, Lin Chuan had already prepared breakfast. Qingzi warmed a pot of milk and made two sunny-side-up eggs.

As she sat down again, Qingzi was visibly excited.

"Mr. Lin Chuan, I thought you had left," said Qingzi, biting her lip, "I thought you didn't care about me anymore."

"How could I?" Lin Chuan smiled and said, "Why would I not care about you?"

"But, you thought I was in cahoots with Mr. Fujii." Qingzi lowered her head, seemingly on the verge of tears.

"I was indeed angry at the time, but not because you were in cahoots with Fujii," Lin Chuan glanced at her before saying, "It was because you didn't tell me the truth right away, even keeping me in the dark. If I hadn't found out later, were you planning to deceive me forever?"

Towards the end, Lin Chuan even sounded somewhat angry.

Qingzi hung her head, saying, "Mr. Lin Chuan, it's not like that. It's really not like that."

"Then what is it like?" Lin Chuan asked.

"I... I just didn't want this incident to ruin our relationship," Qingzi said as she clutched at her clothes, on the verge of falling apart.

"Actually, if you had told me beforehand, I wouldn't have been angry," Lin Chuan sighed. "It's the fact that you kept hiding it from me, deceiving me, that makes me the most upset. Do you understand?"

"Yes, I understand," Qingzi hurriedly nodded and said, "Mr. Lin Chuan, please give me a chance, I will definitely turn over a new leaf."

"Hahaha..."

Suddenly, Lin Chuan burst into laughter.

With a puzzled look, Qingzi watched Lin Chuan, her watery eyes fixed on him as she asked, "Mr. Lin Chuan, what are you laughing at?"

"It's nothing, I just think you're silly," Lin Chuan pinched Qingzi's cheek and said, "Alright, let's not bring up the past. We should enjoy breakfast now, and after that, I need to return to my country."

"Are you leaving so soon?" Qingzi said with a look of reluctance.

"Yes!" Lin Chuan nodded and said, "It's time to go back. I've been out for so long, I miss home."

"Okay," Qingzi nodded and said, "When I have time, I will also go to China to see you."

"Great," Lin Chuan smiled.

After breakfast, Qingzi drove Lin Chuan to the airport. Through her connection, Lin Chuan got a fake passport and managed to evade the police manhunt, successfully boarding a flight back to his homeland. Meanwhile, the Yamaguchi Group and the Japan Police continued their massive search in his home country for several days but failed to capture Lin Chuan. In the end, they had to grudgingly give up. In order to prevent Lin Chuan from escaping their net, the Japan Police Station was forced to narrow down the search to Fan Wei only, limiting their scope to the Shinjuku District.

Their target, however, had already returned to Beijing.

A flight from Yutian International Airport in Japan gradually descended in Beijing.

Before long, Lin Chuan disembarked from the aircraft, and on the tarmac, a girl in a purple long dress eagerly watched the plane descend. When she spotted Lin Chuan coming down the gangway, she excitedly jumped up and ran towards him.

"Tsk tsk, look at that girl, she acts like she's seeing her lover upon spotting Lin Chuan," Hema grumbled.

"Heh, what's the difference between them and lovers?" Xiao Han scoffed.

But Tie Niu interjected, "I think you two are just jealous."

Lin Chuan returned from Japan, and this bunch was adamant about picking him up from the airport personally.

"Xiao Lan." Just as Lin Chuan deboarded, he immediately saw Miss Lan sprinting towards him.

"Hehe!" Miss Lan laughed excitedly, "Lin Chuan, we've all come to fetch you."

Miss Lan excitedly flung herself into Lin Chuan's arms and said emotionally, "I'm so glad you're back safely. I was so worried during the days you were in Japan, fearing something bad might happen to you."

"The team leader has been executing missions for years and has never had an accident," Huang Hui laughed and said, "Miss Lan, why don't you ever worry about us when we are on missions?"

"Why should I worry about you?" Miss Lan glanced at him and said, "I only worry about Lin Chuan alone."

"Haha!" Everyone burst into laughter.

"Let's go," Miss Lan glared at the others.

In the apron, there was an off-road vehicle with a military plate. They quickly got into the vehicle and left the airport swiftly through the VIP channel, heading back to the military base at Miyun Mountain.

In the car, the group was boisterous.

"Miss Lan, you might as well propose to Lin Chuan," Xiao Han suggested on the side, "so we can drink the wedding toast sooner."

"Hmph, how about you give a red envelope," Miss Lan snorted.

"Of course," Xiao Han immediately said, "What's the big deal about a red envelope?"

"If I marry Lin Chuan, each of you has to give a big red envelope," Miss Lan said smirkingly, "The red envelope obviously has to be meaningful. Xiao Han, your August 1st Medal can be the red envelope. Tie Niu, don't you have several Class One Merit Medals? I don't want those, I want that Hero Medal..."
