The Last King Of Darkness

Chapter 637: Brilliance of the Starry Sky (Part 3)

The Pope's words were like lightning, splitting Rod's mind into a blank slate.

Takxis's face was already devoid of any color.

At that moment, a large black mist suddenly surged up from the Pope's body.

This black mist was incredibly terrifying, like pure darkness, a lightless abyss... This was the Source Black Fog, the primordial black mist.

At his feet, Black Water was rapidly spreading, carrying a terrifying aura of pollution.

"Oh, my time is running short."

The Pope said calmly, as if indifferent to the pollution.

"The protection of pure purification of the Star has ended, pure activity can no longer be maintained. At the moment you broke through the Spirit Barrier of the Holy Fire Sacrificial Ground, my life's countdown began."

"Invincible War God Rod, please rescue my surviving people as quickly as possible and bring them back to Trolian."

"The God of Contaminated Blood will soon return from the Void. This ancient god is extremely violent and bloodthirsty. When He awakens from the Abyss, I banished Him to the Void, but I can't hold Him off for long. Please make sure to leave Saint Reel before the Blood God descends upon the world again."

Takxis suddenly roared: "No, it can't be, Your Holiness, isn't there a way, another way to save you?"

The Pope shook his head slightly.

"It's impossible; no one can return from the darkness."

His gaze turned to Rod.

"The black mist has the characteristic of source feedback. The erosion of the Holy Fire Protector is the strongest resonance of source feedback... Tell your King, beware of Human Demons. They are a collection of infinitely corrupted humanity, producing Mysterious Shadows, which will erode the soul from the level of will."

The Pope paused briefly and continued.

"The arrival of catastrophe is unavoidable, and the great pollution of the starry sky will eventually descend, but we may still have a glimmer of hope. While fighting in the starry sky, I seemed to be submerged in boundless darkness, and only in the east did I see a shining Star."

"Now I know, that Star is Trolian. Your arrival offered a glimmer of hope to Saint Reel."

Thicker black mist erupted, engulfing the Pope's figure, and his voice became hoarse and twisted, like a monster.

"Oh, my time is up. Please leave, Invincible War God of Trolian. In the future, return here and kill me, seize the Holy Fire Seed of Saint Reel."

"Only the Primordial Fire can withstand this terrifying disaster."

"Please quickly find the ten Human Kingdoms of the Fire Epoch and gather all the Holy Fire Seeds."

"If possible, enter the real Abyss. There may lie the secret of the black mist's appearance, which Ancient Gods went in search of."

"Ah, Takxis, my foolish child, I hope you will remember the teachings of the White Sect, to rescue those submerged in catastrophe, bringing them back under the light of the fire."

"In this era of disaster, only more humanity can create more miracles."

Rod felt his body suddenly able to move, quickly beginning to dissipate into the air.

The Pope cheerfully praised: "Very good, no extra effort needed to send you out. The Blood God will be delayed in arriving, ah, I have some spare power now. I give this gift to you, hoping it will be useful."

A flare followed after his body.

"Takxis."

His tone suddenly turned somber.

"My highly anticipated Galahad is a traitor. After you leave, kill him. He has aggravated Saint Reel's disaster and must not be allowed to infiltrate Trolian."

Takxis seemed to want to speak, but the next second, his figure vanished.

Rod also turned to ash in an instant.

Within the dense Source Black Fog, Pope O'Sullivan opened his arms, facing the Void.

"Come, ultimate destruction, my brilliance shall shine upon the world like the Dusk Glow Ring!"
