Re: God of Formation.

Chapter 156: The Xun Elders Visit.

"What do you mean something has happened?" a man asked, staring at the young man before him.

"Captain, the elders have been attacked, and we don't know who did it," the young man responded.

Their team had been tasked with kidnapping Jun Wu, and this was the right opportunity to act—except they had just learned of this. Listening to him, everyone widened their eyes in disbelief.

"How is that possible?" a woman asked, her voice filled with doubt.

These were powerful elders from the clan. Even though they were Master realm cultivators, they couldn't compare to the clan elders.

The five Master Realm cultivators looked at each other and saw the confusion on each other's faces.

"Quick, let's go to the scene," the team captain said decisively.

They nodded and followed his lead as they rushed out of their hideout. As for the plan to kidnap Jun Wu, that was the least of their trouble.

They would be held responsible if they couldn't catch the people behind the attack.

Slowly, the atmosphere inside Dawn City began to change. While most people talked about the extraordinary nature of Jun Wu's lecture, the powerful clans and hidden clans sensed the shift in atmosphere.

In another location, Gong clan members gathered inside a courtyard, watching the carnage before them with an ugly expression.

Compared to the Jun clan losing two elders, the Gong clan had lost tens of people. No one in the courtyard was left alive.

Looking at the bodies lying in pools of blood, most with their heads exploded by a powerful attack, what was even more shocking was that no one had found out how the attack had sneaked into the courtyard and carried out the massacre.

An Expert realm cultivator, with an ugly expression, commanded, "Close down the city and make sure to find who was behind this attack."

Instantly, the Gong clan sprang into action. Each wore a solemn expression, filled with killing intent.

In a much more hidden location, a small wooden house stood at the end of an alley. In the backyard, five men in black robes lay broken in their pool of blood.

Like the Jun clan and Gong clan massacres, their heads had exploded from their shoulders. The brutal killings left the two men looking at their colleague in fury.

"Who do you think is responsible for this?" one of them asked in a low, chilling voice.

"There are many suspects, but I can only think of the Jun clan…" his voice trailed off.

The Jun clan was the prime suspect, but with the news of their elder also being assassinated, that removed them from the prime suspect list.

"What about the academies?" the first man asked. "I believe they must have many clues about our existence that the two aristocrat clans…"

The second man nodded. "That is also possible, but I think this is likely related to that kid, Jun Wu."

Hmm?

His partner was confused.

Thousands of people saw Jun Wu during the open lecture. How could he be responsible for the deaths of so many people?

As for him having many capable men responsible for the assassination, that was even more unlikely. Each of his men had also been found during the open lecture. Besides that, their strength was incapable of committing such a brutal killing.

"I know it sounds unbelievable, but I don't know what to think anymore," he added, creasing his brow under his hood.

This was the first time they had encountered such a complicated situation. Worst of all, they did not even have any idea of the perpetrator.

Previously, they had been the ones in the dark, attacking their enemies, but now the situation had reversed, which shocked them to their core.

"What should we do?" the first man asked. "We can't stay in the city much longer."

"You're right. We need to return to the clan and report the situation."

With that decision made, the two men left the wooden house. As for the dead bodies of their fellow clan members, they did not care. They had completed their mission.

Back at the Dawn City Lord's mansion, the City Lord was on his feet with a deep frown etched on his face.

"How can this happen?" he screamed, veins protruding on his forehead.

He took a vase close to him and threw it against the wall. He tried to grab something else, but there was nothing nearby. He gnashed his teeth, fury burning in his eyes.

His city was a neutral force, but now…

The deaths of the two aristocratic clan elders in the city changed everything—especially the Jun aristocrat clan.

Everyone knew how crazy and overprotective they were for their clansmen. Who knew what they would do?

Just thinking of the incoming storm made him want to strangle the people behind the senseless killing.

Why would they do the killing in his city?

Can't the bastards wait until they left his city?

His thoughts were in disarray. Panic and fear crawled from the depths of his soul.

The butler stood quietly, waiting for the City Lord to recover from his overwhelming emotions. The situation was getting out of hand, and the City Lord must decide how to handle it.

Taking a deep breath, the City Lord tried to regain his calm.

"How is the situation? Has the guard been deployed?" he asked.

"Yes, my lord," the old butler nodded. "The guard captain is already trying to control the situation."

"That's not enough. How are the two clans reacting?" he asked, pacing back and forth.

The old butler was quiet for a moment before he responded. "My lord, they've closed down the city as demanded, and no one would be allowed to leave until the perpetrator is found."

The City Lord was not surprised.

He might be the city lord, but against the two aristocratic clans, he was nothing. He did not dare go against them, not while their elders were assassinated.

He looked at his old butler and asked, "Do you think I should meet them and appease their anger?"

"My lord, I think that would be wise. It will also clear up any misunderstandings that might arise," the butler responded calmly.

"Good. Invite them immediately. I need to make sure the city is safe from their wrath."

Far from the chaos rising in the city, Jun Wu sat calmly and looked at the middle-aged man and woman before him.

"May I know why the two seniors decided to visit me?" he asked calmly.

He was slightly confused. He did not know why two powerful Master Realm cultivators would visit him after he completed his lecture.

With the chaos in the city, he believed no one would have the chance to pay him a visit.

But he was wrong.

"Young Master, we're sorry for coming unannounced," the Xun clan's first elder said with an amicable smile.

"We are elders from the Xun clan, Clear Wind City," she announced slowly, her gaze locked on Jun Wu's face.

Jun Wu was stunned for a moment before he recovered quickly. "I'm honored by your visit, but I still don't know why you decided to visit me?"

He had heard of the Xun clan of Clear Wind City. They were a Fourth Tier Power in the Soaring Cloud Region.

The Xun clan was known for their peaceful nature and neutrality. Unlike many weaker cities that called themselves neutral, that was just a facade on the surface.

The Xun clan was a real neutral power. They were never against the Gong clan or the Jun clan.

Even though he knew all this, he was still puzzled by their sudden visit.

"Young Master, you don't need to be confused. As a Master Teacher, many clans are trying to understand this profession," the First Elder responded calmly.

"This includes us, and this is the sole reason why we came to attend your lecture," she explained.

Realization dawned on him, but his expression did not change as he asked, "So what do you find out?"

"It would be a lie to say we're not impressed. Everything that happened during the lecture was not something a mere mortal could do." She responded truthfully.

She and the Third Elder had been shocked when they watched the live transformation.

There was no evil energy, no hidden play. Everything was pure, enlightening everyone.

"Young Master, may I ask a question?" the Third Elder asked.

"Please…" Jun Wu gestured for him to speak.

"What is the purpose of the Master Teacher, and what is its impact on our region?" he asked.

The First Elder also nodded. The reason behind the Master Teacher profession was something they had never understood.

Why would the Gong clan go to such lengths to tarnish their image and try to kill every Master Teacher?

Jun Wu looked at the two elders and smiled. He was not surprised by their question. He knew some wise people would be curious to know the truth.

But instead of responding to the question, he asked, "Why do you care about the truth?"

"Because our future depends on it," the First Elder answered matter-of-factly.

"Very well," Jun Wu nodded. "The purpose of the Master Teacher is to save our world from the impending danger."
