Re: God of Formation.

Chapter 158: The Xun Clan Scheme.

A week later.

The Soaring Cloud Region was thick with tension.

The Jun clan claimed the Gong clan was behind the assassination of their clan elder, while the Gong clan contended that the Mystic Path Academy was responsible.

The Jun clan displayed their overbearing might once again, attacking all the major establishments under the Gong clan.

It was a rain of terror. Many martial artists and Master Realm cultivators were killed. Fear gripped every heart like a vice.

It was when the Jun clan grew satisfied with their killings that they stopped. Oppressed, the Gong clan could only turn their attention to the Mystic City.

Although they were helpless against the Jun Clan, the Mystic Path Academy posed no threat to them.

They dispatched hundreds of martial artists, ten Master Realm cultivators, and three Expert Realm cultivators.

Such a powerful force stunned all the clans in the Soaring Cloud Region. Where had the Gong clan found so many powerful warriors?

Various rumors spread throughout the region, but the Gong clan did not care.

Their goal was to destroy the Mystic Path Academy and make them pay for their losses against the Jun clan.

But the result of the battle left every power in the region shocked and confused.

In half an hour, all the powerful forces sent by the Gong clan to the Mystic City were killed.

This included the three Expert Realm cultivators. It was then that they learned Jun Wu had upgraded the Mystic City's defensive formation to an attacking and defensive formation.

More importantly, it was a Grade-2 Array Formation.

A Grade-2 Array Formation that could attack and defend at the same time was unheard of.

While people talked about the Gong clan's easy defeat, they were also discussing the terrifying Grade-2 Array Formation.

In the Soaring Cloud Region, the most commonly seen protective array formations were Grade-1 Array Formations.

No one had ever seen a Grade-2 Array Formation. This included the Jun aristocratic Clan.

And now—

Jun Wu's fame shot upward, and every force wanted to meet him. Just the allure of a Grade-2 Array Formation made him an allure that was almost irresistible.

As for the young man, Jun Wu, he had already arrived at Clear Wind City.

Seated inside the main hall of the Xun clan, Jun Wu noticed the strange gazes directed at him from the Xun clan master and the few elders.

However, his calm expression did not falter. He could already guess what was going on in their minds.

"Young Master, you're full of surprises." The Xun clan leader could not help but say.

He was genuinely won over by Jun Wu's talents in array formation.

"I'll take that as a compliment," Jun Wu responded casually.

Watching Jun Wu, who was neither proud nor humble, all the elders nodded, pleased with his demeanor.

For other younger generations with such talent, their eyes would be on fire. They wouldn't place anyone in their eyes. But Jun Wu still maintained his noble bearing.

Looking at the elders and clan leader, Jun Wu found sitting without speaking a waste of his precious time. Thus, he went straight to the point.

"Clan leader, why have you summoned me to your clan?"

Listening to the question, all the elders straightened their backs. Their expressions turned serious.

"Young Master Wu, I heard the responses you gave the First Elder and Second. And I couldn't agree more," the Clan Leader began slowly, his voice clear and serious.

"Our region seems to be shrouded in thick veils that threaten to swallow us. Although I don't know what it was, I know that if we don't do something about it, it is only a matter of time before we're all destroyed."

"I believe some hidden clans are behind this incoming danger. But your appearance and the Master Teacher profession disrupt their plan." He paused, allowing Jun Wu to understand where he was going.

"Young Master Wu, you're not merely the first Master Teacher. You're also a once-in-a-generation Array Formation Master. This alone proves that heaven has not given up on us."

"My clan is merely a Fourth Tier power. In the grand scheme of things, we're weak and can be swept away with a casual wind. But I can't allow this."

"So, we decided to support you. We believe supporting you will provide a way for our clan to survive the incoming storm." He concluded.

Jun Wu did not show any change in his expression. He listened to the clan leader's heartfelt words with deep concentration.

Receiving support from a Fourth-Tier power would make them proud and arrogant. But not him.

He knew everyone was trying to do what was best for themselves.

If tomorrow he proved to be useless, they wouldn't hesitate to change their alliance.

Even though he understood, he still saluted the courage of the Xun clan in his mind. He did not let it show on his face and asked with the same calm expression.

"Why?"

It was a simple question, but their response would determine everything.

The Xun clan leader and elders understood this. The clan leader looked at the First Elder and nodded.

"Young Master, there are many reasons, but the most important one is our clan's survival," the First Elder responded with a solemn expression.

"The Gong clan has started to recruit many clans to fight against you and the Master Teacher. This alone is dangerous,"

"They've already extended their invitation to us, but we chose not to respond until we know what we're diving into. Meeting you changes everything."

"The hatred and willingness to destroy everything shown by the Gong clan is scary, to say the least. But you, your teachings have brought light and enlightenment to everyone."

"How can we choose destruction over light and enlightenment? Everything you've done since you left the Jun clan has not harmed the people."

"For example, your array plates have saved many lives. This is enough for us to know what to choose." She completed her monologue.

"Are you not scared of their retaliation?" Jun Wu couldn't help but ask.

"Why should we be scared?" The Clan leader responded calmly.

"We've always been a neutral force. And if we decide to support you, I don't think they dare to attack us, and if they do…" He did not complete his sentence, but Jun Wu could see the fierce killing intent in his eyes.

"Very well." Jun Wu nodded.

He was deeply moved by their determination. Besides, this was the mission of the Master Teacher.

To bring everyone under the light of the Master Teacher.

"I thank the clan leader and elders for willing to support me and the other Master Teachers," Jun Wu said, giving a curt bow.

Watching Jun Wu's action, the clan leaders and elders breathed a sigh of relief, and a bright smile crept across their faces.

"Haha. Young Master, you're too humble." The clan leader laughed. "We're only doing what is right."

Although that was the obvious truth, who can decide what is right and wrong?

In the face of survival, there is nothing like right or wrong.

Jun Wu did not comment and chose to smile. Just then, the clan leader asked.

"Young Master, what do you think about having disciples?"

Hmm?

Jun Wu widened his eyes slightly, deeply stunned. He was merely eighteen years old; how could he have disciples?

Before he could speak, the clan leader continued. "Young Master, please don't rush to reject it."

"We all know becoming a Master Teacher depends on heaven's will. However, becoming your disciple is acceptable."

"We believe following you, their fate would change, and they could become better versions of themselves."

"For you, they can help you with all the miscellaneous things. And if they are not stupid, they can learn a thing or two through it."

Listening to the clan leader's reason, Jun Wu was stunned for a moment and sighed.

"Alright. I agree. But I'll not take them as disciples, only as assistants."

"That's good. We can't ask for more." The clan leader readily agreed, afraid Jun Wu might change his mind.

The elders smiled from ear to ear.

"Come in!" the clan leader commanded.

Creak!

The main hall's wooden door was pushed open, and two young people entered, both in their early twenties.

A male and a female.

They walked with air of confidence and pride. The young man was handsome, and the girl was equally pretty.

"We've seen the elders and clan leader." They both paid their respects with a deep bow.

"Good." The clan leader nodded. "As of today, you have become the Young Master's assistants."

"Don't bring shame to the clan. Work hard under him, and your future will change for good."

The two were stunned.

They had thought the rare chance was to become Master Teachers, but who would have thought they would be reduced to mere assistants?

Even though they were stunned, they recovered quickly and turned to face Jun Wu.

"Young Master, thank you for accepting us." They said with forced smiles.

Jun Wu nodded and looked at the clan leader. "Clan Leader, if there is nothing else, I'll take my leave."
