Under the immense impact, large swathes of houses began to collapse, and much of the town buildings in the Dragon Nest Tribe's station suffered varying degrees of destruction.
At the breach in the city walls, both the Dragon Nest Beastmen soldiers and the Blood Claw Tribe elites were significantly affected, yet the brutal slaughter continued.
People kept dying, their blood staining the snow red, and corpses lay stiff on the ground.
Most of the collapsed city walls turned into a battlefield, amid dense clashes, the impacts of Fighting Qi exploded continuously.
The Dragon Nest Beastmen soldiers formed a tight military formation. Although their individual combat power was not strong in this Extraordinary battlefield, they could assist the Beastman Officers in encircling and killing the Blood Claw elites.
At this time, the Beastmen soldiers within the Dragon Nest Tribe were the elite chosen from tens of thousands of Beastmen of the whole tribe.
With strengthening from Giant Beast Meat and regular training, as well as the cultivation of various Breathing Techniques, these ordinary Beastmen soldiers had physiques several times stronger than regular Beastmen.
Additionally, with excellent equipment, small teams of a dozen formed a unit, capable of facing off against Bronze Level Extraordinary Beastmen elites.
The storm sweeping from the sky caused a brief pause in the bloody battlefield, but it soon became even more frenzied.
Lacking Grom, the Dragon Nest Tribe had a numerical advantage over the elite attackers from the Blood Claw Tribe, and their mid-to-high-level combat power was also comparable, overall giving the Dragon Nest Tribe an edge in battle.
In the brutal slaughter, Blood Claw elites were continuously being encircled and killed.
Rumble!
Up in the sky, the turbulent Fighting Qi surged, interspersed with lightning.
Seeing the prior collision's destructive impact on the painstakingly constructed town below, and with the Dragon Nest Tribe holding the advantage at the city gate, the general outcome of the battle seemed inevitable.
Austin then engaged while retreating, moving in a direction away from the tribe's station.
Grom, worthy of being the Blood Claw Tribe's first warrior, had an astonishing range of combat experience. After activating his Ancestral Bloodline, his combat power doubled, and his violent Fighting Qi blasted out. Within a short time, it was unclear how many hundreds or thousands of punches he had unleashed, his terrifying, raging punch force exploding with Fighting Qi, whipping up colossal waves in the air.
The frightful power of these repeated collisions left even Austin's nearly impenetrable Scale Armor Defense with tingling claws.
This made Austin realize that the person before him was an unprecedentedly formidable opponent.
An enemy impossible to defeat in a short time,
To overcome him, Austin would have to go all-out, using every means at his disposal.
Even just the aftershocks from the initial exchanges had destroyed over half of the Dragon Nest Town below, so Austin couldn't choose a battlefield near here.
"Damn gray bear, if you have the guts, then come and chase me!"
Austin roared in a low voice, his massive wings fanning in the sky, creating a great torrent. Surrounded by the storm and lightning, he flew toward the distance.
"Hahaha! Want to pick a nice place for your grave, do you? I'll oblige you!"
Gross sneered, not caring about the situation of the war below. Landing on the ground from the sky, he stomped with one foot, and his whole form shot out like a cannonball in pursuit of Austin.
However, what no one noticed was that Gross, usually so direct in words and actions, casually glanced over the battlefield with a barely perceptible cold smile before his entire figure vanished.
With those two oppressive presences departing, the war outside the Dragon Nest Tribe immediately escalated in intensity.
"Crush them! For the prince!"
"Slaughter them all!"
Another fierce clash of over a thousand men occurred, the metallic clangs mingling with the splattering blood, painting vast stretches of snow red, and the ground littered with corpses.
Only death could end this war.
...
Meanwhile, at the hill where Austin had previously been cultivating, a terrifying aura rose, rolling in from the sky and veiling the white sky with dark clouds.
Amidst the vast torrents, Austin descended from the top of the air, landing instantly on a mountaintop.
Simultaneously, Gross followed closely, slamming down on a nearby mountain summit, his formidable power exploding and shattering the rocks atop.
"Gray bear, who are you?"
The gray bear before him gave Austin a vague sense of familiarity, yet Austin was sure he had never seen this person before.
Nevertheless, it was this person who led a group of elite Extraordinary Beastmen to suddenly attack his Clan Tribe.
It didn't seem like a spur-of-the-moment idea; it was as if there was some undying hatred, with the target appearing to be himself and the tribe he had developed.
Though Austin had transmigrated into a dragon, he considered himself inherently kind-hearted.
Over the years, he mostly stayed nearby, developing himself quietly, avoiding trouble. Even if his subordinates annexed and killed Beastmen from other tribes, it was the various Clans that were responsible; he seldom acted himself, and there seemed to be few Beastmen who died at his hands.
He considered himself a good dragon, whose bloodshed was far less than that of his kin.
How could such a kind-hearted dragon provoke this oblivious fellow into trying to kill him?
Austin felt a tremendous sense of indignation course through him, reaching into the heavens!
So he decided to ask about this fellow's background before beating him to death.
"My name is Gross, the first warrior of the Blood Claw Tribe! Blue Young Dragon, two years ago, the Grom you killed was my brother! Have you thought of how you want to die?"
Gross sneered at Austin across from him, as if looking at a dead dragon.
"So you're here to avenge your brother?"
Austin narrowed his eyes and stared at Gross opposite him.
"That's right! Today, whether you go to heaven or earth, you are doomed!"
Gross stared intently at Austin, his eyes filled with resentment.
Austin maintained his composure, nodding slightly, seeming lost in thought.
Avenging family, that was a reason.
But... something just felt off.
Staring into Gross's resentful eyes, a sudden enlightenment struck Austin as he suddenly said to Gross:
"No, you're lying."
Gross's eyelids twitched slightly, but his expression remained unchanged, showing no emotion.
Austin continued on his own:
"You're lying, you came here to kill me not for avenging that so-called brother of yours; the reason you want to kill me is because of something else, something that drove you to fury... and so you came to seek revenge on me. Perhaps, in this journey, there are other plans you need to fulfill."
"Oh, is that what you think?"
Gross gave no affirmation nor denial, his pupils contracted slightly, yet the previous resentment dispersed, as if nothing had happened.
He watched Austin intently, seemingly waiting for him to provide an explanation.
