Arbuckle looked at Jiang Chen, at the Underworld Clan members across from him, and at their black eyes. Just as Jiang Chen had thought, Arbuckle was enraged.

"Damn it, it's a Summoner from the Difiled Camp!"

"Summoners are the most despicable! They turn our kin into Puppets."

"Should we kill the Swordsman first, or go after the Puppet?"

"Take out the Puppet first, then that Summoner. Let that Swordsman live a little longer."

As they were discussing this, Jiang Chen took Ji Ma and immediately fled, finding a place to hide. This was exactly what Jiang Chen had hoped to see.

And, just as Jiang Chen had expected, when Arbuckle of the Underworld Clan saw his companion turned into a Puppet, he abandoned him.

Ji Ma hid with great care. "It seems you were right," she whispered. "They really started fighting."

"No kidding. What would you do if someone turned your companion into a Puppet?" Jiang Chen asked.

"I'd definitely not be cool with it," Ji Ma replied.

"That's what I thought. That so-called Prince will surely want to kill the Summoner. My only worry now is that the Puppet isn't a match for them and might easily be destroyed."

Jiang Chen glanced around and spotted a mountain peak in the distance. With a Flash in the Void, he teleported to its highest point, watching the fight unfold below. They were within a kilometer. This way, as soon as an opportunity arose, Jiang Chen would strike immediately and kill the enemy.

It had to be said, Arbuckle was indeed strong.

Brandishing his broad blade, he charged towards the Puppet, with the other four warriors rushing at it simultaneously. The Puppet, unfazed, drew its own blade to meet their attack.

Jiang Chen pondered silently. He couldn't feel any Spatial Fluctuations or the movement of air. This indicated one thing: they seemed to be fighting, but it was actually a battle in another Space, meaning their respective Spaces were interconnected. Even he was helpless in this situation.

At that moment, Jiang Chen sensed a change. A dark figure appeared behind the Puppet.

Ji Ma whispered, "It's that Succubus."

Jiang Chen mused aloud, "Hm, I wonder if the Skill of the Succubus will affect the Underworld Clan's Spatial Warriors, even though they're in a different Space?"

"They will," Ji Ma affirmed.

"How can you be so sure?" Jiang Chen asked.

"Just one look, and the Succubus's Skill will activate, triggering their own desires. These desires are amplified indefinitely, and even members of the Underworld Clan cannot escape it."

Ji Ma smiled. "Your plan is really good. You use the Succubus to attack them, and then you strike to kill the Succubus. You're immune to the Succubus, the Succubus restrains the Underworld Clan, and the Underworld Clan restrains you."

Jiang Chen remarked, "The Succubus class is indeed very strong."

"I've always had a question, though. How are you immune to the Succubus's attack? I don't believe you lack desires."

"When you enter the Phantasm Realm and encounter a Succubus, what do you think of?"

"What else could it be? Desires amplified to the extreme. That feeling is like... just 'do me' already..."

Jiang Chen was momentarily struck dumb.

Ji Ma, not minding Jiang Chen's stunned expression, asked, "And you? When the Succubus pulled you into her realm, what did you feel?"

"I felt nothing."

"Could it be you're naturally immune to the Succubus? Not interested in women? But that can't be right. Even homosexuals would be doomed; she manipulates your desires regardless."

"You can just imagine her as an extremely ugly man. That way, you won't have any desires."

Ji Ma's eyes widened. That works?

"I'll try it next time, though I doubt it will actually work."

"Why not?"

"An ugly man is still a man."

Jiang Chen was completely speechless. Her logic seems sound, no wonder so many people want to marry Africans... Dammit, it's the same even if you're blindfolded.

The Puppet was initially being steadily defeated, no match for the five warriors, but with the appearance of the Succubus, the situation instantly reversed without any visible action from her.

She merely smiled at them, and their bodies couldn't help but shiver.

Even in their different world space, they couldn't withstand it.

Arbuckle was shocked and pale, feeling his vitality rapidly draining away. The same was happening to the four Underworld Clan warriors behind him; one even collapsed to the ground, convulsing.

Their life force was sucked dry in an instant, leaving them as nothing more than gasping, skeletal corpses.

The Succubus laughed. "Although you are in another Space, my Skill is to evoke your own desires. You can't escape it even in a different Space, oh."

The Succubus's eyes remained fixated on them.

Just then, Arbuckle swung his right hand, and blood dripped profusely.

The Succubus was stunned. What a tough guy, he really is ruthless! To avoid being tempted, he went as far as to harm himself.

Jiang Chen was stunned. Self-castration?

Jiang Chen was genuinely impressed; that was simply too brutal.

Ji Ma exclaimed, "This guy is so ruthless! But it seems it didn't do much. He tried to restrain his desire, but even if *that* is gone, he still can't control the underlying urge, and it becomes even more frantic."

"Not necessarily," Jiang Chen countered. "That Arbuckle seems to have returned to normal."

"Even though he's back to normal, without *it*, his desire is greater. That's in the Phantasm Realm. The desires evoked by the Succubus aren't just about sex, you know."

Jiang Chen once again focused on the battlefield. Indeed, Arbuckle had inflicted wounds on himself, momentarily restraining his desires, but his vitality was now draining even faster for some unknown reason!

Desire still affects those who are incomplete. Who says the incomplete can't have desires? What is desire? It's the most primitive, most fundamental instinct of all living beings, and sex is just one of the simplest forms of it. Any thinking creature has desires.

Arbuckle knelt on the ground, his eyes bloodshot, looking excitedly at the Succubus.

「After a while.」

Five corpses lay on the ground. The Puppet pulled them out of the other Space. At this moment, a figure appeared in Jiang Chen's field of vision: Hagen, looking at the five corpses.

Hagen laughed heartily. "Another five Spatial Warriors!"

After a brief chant from Hagen, a Black Magic Array appeared on the ground. The five warriors stood up, their eyes empty and lifeless. They had become his Puppets.

Hagen nodded with a smile. "Now we can start searching for that Swordsman's tracks."

WHOOSH! Just at that moment, ten Sword Auras rushed towards Hagen.

CLANG, CLANG, CLANG! A Black-robed man shattered the surrounding Sword Qi and looked towards a nearby hilltop where two figures had appeared. Hagen turned to see them.

Hagen sneered. "So they haven't gone far. Good, let's take care of them as well."

The Succubus sensed something was amiss. It seems the Underworld Clan warriors are a counter to this Swordsman. He deliberately exposed his identity, wanting me to deal with them.

"So what?" Hagen retorted. "Now that I have six more Spatial Warriors by my side, killing that Swordsman is almost certain."

At that moment, Jiang Chen looked at the Black-robed man beside Hagen. The Fallen? He actually turned one of The Fallen into a Puppet! This guy really has some tricks up his sleeve.

Hagen sneered. "Kill him."

As six Underworld Puppets charged at Jiang Chen, he told Ji Ma, "Look after yourself."

Jiang Chen executed a Flash in the Void. In a few blinks, he appeared opposite Hagen.

Hagen, thrilled, exclaimed, "Such a powerful Swordsman! You will be greatly honored to become part of my collection."

"Really?" Jiang Chen replied. "You killing them was perfect; it solved a problem for me. If I kill you, your Puppets will also disappear."

"True," Hagen scoffed. "But unfortunately for you, do you think you can kill me? Did you imagine I would dare come out here without defenses? This is one of The Fallen I worked so hard to obtain—a Sixth-stage Descender! With him here, do you really think you can kill me?"

Jiang Chen glanced at The Fallen.
