Ever since his rebirth, Ye Yun had been solving puzzles all along the way. He had seen the Seven-star formation in many places. This Seven-star formation was immensely mysterious, boasting various permutations that permeated the entire process of the Divine Dragon's destruction and the Dragon God Sect's ruin on the Dragon Hidden Continent. According to the clues Ye Yun currently possessed, the Seven-star formation might have originated from the extremely mysterious Seven-Star Mound of the Divine Land. But the Seven-Star Mound had appeared once and then vanished. After that, there was no further news.
"This is interesting! It was truly worthwhile coming to the Nether Immortal Ancient Land; this place also has a setup by the manipulators behind the scenes..." Ye Yun murmured to himself.
This bizarre Nether Immortal Ancient Land had no traces related to the Dragon God Sect, nor any Dragon Clan members that needed to be suppressed. Why would there be this kind of setup? Ye Yun was also somewhat puzzled. Within the seven large lakes, only seven Red-haired Bone Dragons were sleeping. There was nothing else particular about them, and he could not discern the layout of any formation. This made it easier to believe that these seven Black Lakes were natural, astonishing works of nature—purely a coincidence and absolutely not an artificial Seven-star formation.
Ye Yun was very cautious. He also understood that the Seven-star formation had a huge variety of permutations. Perhaps this was a new type of formation, one he still didn't know about. Suibai was the most long-lived and bizarre creature in the Nether Immortal Ancient Land. Perhaps he would have a deeper understanding of these Red-haired Bone Dragons.
Ye Yun's Divine Sense returned, no longer continuing its exploration. His focus now was on Suibai, who might possibly have come from the Divine Land. Suibai had once bragged about having a big fight with the Red-haired Bone Dragon in the second Black Lake, so Ye Yun wanted to see whether the hidden Seven-star formation would be activated.
WHOOSH!
The Spiritual Power, imbued with Divine Nature, roared and surged into Suibai's body. The six junior members of the Dragon God Sect beside the pile of Spirit Stones were all nervous, not even daring to breathe loudly. A small mountain-like pile of Spirit Stones, over 600,000 in total, was completely absorbed by Suibai in less time than it takes for an incense stick to burn.
"How refreshing!" After absorbing the Spirit Stones, Suibai laughed heartily, his eyes still closed. He immediately formed a Hand Seal. This Hand Seal was one of the seals Suibai had previously formed.
Suibai... is he going to use the power of Divine Nature to eliminate the red hair on his feet? The Big Black Cat thought of this possibility, growing increasingly horrified.
Indeed, white light covered Suibai's feet, and the red hair began to fall off piece by piece. In the space of a few breaths, the red hair on Suibai's feet was completely shed.
WHOOSH!
He abruptly opened his eyes. At this moment, his eyes were as profound as the vast starry sky; though very strange, they were even more deep-seated. The instant Suibai opened his eyes, the Big Black Cat had a mysterious feeling, as if some ancient world had opened before him.
Suibai looked into the depths of the Nether Immortal Ancient Land and seemed to remember something, his expression somewhat excited. With his hands behind his back, he murmured to himself, "Just a little bit more to fully recover... Hmm, I'll take care of that Little Dragon first..."
After saying this, Suibai paid Luo Li and the others no further attention. He flew into the air and vanished into the black fog in a flash.
"Suibai finally left. He went to fight the Red-haired Bone Dragon this time, didn't he?" Luo Li let out a sigh of relief, her stiff body finally relaxing. She stomped her foot, and her complexion returned to normal.
Mu Qing released her Divine Sense, searching in the direction Suibai had disappeared, but found no trace of any Black Lake. She sighed and said, "Sect Master, where should we go next?"
Luo Li pondered for a moment and said, "Let's return to the vicinity of the Heavenly Mechanism Tower first. We'll rest for a while before deciding."
Everyone nodded. It had been more than half a month, and the six of them had not entered the Heavenly Mechanism Tower again. Mu Qing's and Bao'er's bodies had accumulated some toxins. They needed to find the Heavenly Mechanism Tower first to eliminate the toxins in their bodies. Their current location was not far from the Heavenly Mechanism Tower. Through the fog, they could vaguely see a silvery light shimmering. Everyone flew towards the Heavenly Mechanism Tower and quickly entered the area enveloped by the silvery light.
This 53rd Heavenly Mechanism Tower actually had no Cultivators.
"It seems we're still the first!" The Big Black Cat burst into laughter, turned into a flash of black light, flew to the spot beneath the Heavenly Mechanism Tower, and sat down. He was about to take out the Spirit Stones when he suddenly frowned, his movements freezing.
"Sect Master, with this tricky guy Suibai around, I'm afraid we can't just casually absorb Spirit Stones anymore," the Big Black Cat said in a bitter tone.
Suibai's cultivation base was at the Eternal Realm. Heaven knew when he might return. What if Suibai came back and found they still had Spirit Stones? How would they explain it then?
Luo Li furrowed her brows. She, too, realized the seriousness of the situation. She thought for a moment and said, "Forget it. Let's just be careful and wait for a couple of days."
"I guess there's no other way." Everyone nodded in agreement and, for the first time, sat under the Heavenly Mechanism Tower without absorbing Spirit Stones, resuming normal cultivation instead.
BOOM! BOOM!
A massive noise emanated from the distance, causing the ground to tremble slightly. Everyone opened their eyes. Although they could not see the fight, they could imagine its intensity. Now that Suibai was rejuvenated, his power had massively increased. The Red-haired Bone Dragon probably wasn't his match this time.
The fight lasted for only a dozen breaths or so before silence fell.
"It seems the fight is over. I wonder who won?" Mu Qing said calmly.
"Of course it was me who won!" From within the black mist, a crisp voice suddenly echoed from afar. Though the voice sounded childish, it carried an eerie chill.
A flash of light, and Suibai landed at the base of the Heavenly Mechanism Tower. Everyone quickly looked over. Suibai's eyes were cold yet bright, blood trickled down the corner of his mouth, but his expression was ecstatic and arrogant. It was apparent that although Suibai was victorious, he had paid a certain price.
Suibai looked at the six of them, his gaze eerie, his eyes flickering as if with Netherworld Fire.
"I know you still have Spirit Stones, right?" Suibai asked.
"We really don't..." The Big Black Cat spread his hands, putting on an innocent expression.
"Our previous cooperation has ended. Now, if you want to survive, hand over another 600,000 Spirit Stones," Suibai said, waving his hand, his voice eerie and filled with killing intent.
"Suibai, why are you different from before?" Luo Li sighed.
"Insignificant ants! You are not worthy to know!" Suibai bluntly refused, a touch of superiority in his eyes. To him, these six youngsters seemed as insignificant as tiny ants.
"I still have some Spirit Stones, about 200,000. Let's pool together what we have left," Luo Li said in a low voice, taking out a cloth bag. She then looked at the other five and blinked meaningfully.
Everyone understood. They each took out their bags and once again managed to gather 600,000 Spirit Stones. With a wave of his small hand, Suibai grabbed all the storage bags filled with Spirit Stones.
"You little rascals, it seems you really don't lack Spirit Stones. I'm curious, these Spirit Stones imbued with Divine Nature are originally from the Divine Land. Where did you get them?" Suibai suddenly glared, asking with a sinister expression.
"Of course, they're from the Divine Land." Luo Li raised her eyebrows, her entire aura suddenly shifting. Two gazes, sharp as swords, pierced through the air and landed on Suibai.
