Wizard: Adventures in Two Worlds

Chapter 265: 117 Wizard World - Kalim Continent (Please add to favorites!)_2

"Nonsense!" a chilly voice exclaimed.

Within the Star Gate, a shadowy figure emerged once again, transforming into an old woman holding a cane, her face covered in wrinkles.

"The Five-Ring Wizards of White Teeth Castle haven't shown themselves in hundreds of years. Perhaps they died in some Exotic Realm. Why not join our Six Rings Tower?"

"The founder of the Six Rings Tower was indeed a Six-Circle Wizard!"

"Hmph!" Mo Ni snorted.

"Old woman, the Six-Circle Wizard you speak of has been dead for tens of thousands of years, and you're still bringing him up. Is there nothing else worth boasting about?"

"The existence of a Six-Circle Wizard is like that of the Divine—immortal, and never dying," the old woman said expressionlessly.

"He will come back sooner or later!"

"Ha..." Mo Ni sneered dismissively.

"So you just keep waiting then. Wait another tens of thousands of years, and he might just return. Though I doubt you'll be around to see it!"

"Mo Ni!" The old woman's gaze turned icy.

"How about we set a time to test our witchcraft against each other?"

"Hmph!"

Mo Ni's expression subtly changed, a hint of wariness flashing through his eyes.

"Old woman, I don't have time to tangle with you. White Teeth Castle discovered the Star Gate first and has priority."

The expressions of the Wizards from the Swamp Alliance were peculiar.

Could it be that they were still so highly sought after in the Wizard World?

"Two seniors," a short-statured Wizard from the crowd spoke up, "could you perhaps introduce us to the Wizard... Kaliem Continent?"

Everyone nodded eagerly.

"Of course, no problem." Mo Ni, who seemed to be in a good mood and very patient, stroked his beard and began, "Where should I start?"

After thinking for a moment, he spoke slowly, "The place you are from, we call it the Eastern Kingdom Continent, where the Divine herd living beings and harvest faith."

"The Kaliem Continent, on the other hand, is rather chaotic, inhabited by various races, and few areas manage to unify into a nation."

"As for why that is, it involves a very, very old war, which you don't need to know about for now."

"Exactly," the old woman nodded, picking up the thread.

"On the Kaliem Continent, there are four major Wizard Organizations of high standing. Aside from our Six Rings Tower and his White Teeth Castle, there are the Secret Cultivation Association and Rose Academy. But since they haven't shown up yet, they likely won't come."

Mo Ni raised an eyebrow.

Good! Fewer competitors were always better. After all, with only twenty people, two shares were definitely preferable to four.

The old woman, seemingly unaware of his gaze, continued, "The four major Wizard Organizations have all produced Five-Ring and even Six-Circle Wizards. There's also a Knowledge Church that has cultivated Five-Ring Wizards. However, that organization is very loosely structured; any Official Wizard can apply to join, and even Black Wizards face no restrictions. It's not recommended."

"On the Kaliem Continent, those with Wizard Talent are divided into five levels, each level further divided into high, middle, and low."

"Fifth-level Wizard Talent is the most common. Those with fourth-level can attempt to join the various organizations. Third-level talent is rather rare, and second-level…"

"...is almost assured of becoming an Official Wizard, so even the four major Wizard Organizations compete fiercely for them."

Huh?

The expressions of the few Official Wizards from the Swamp Alliance turned strange.

Their group, almost all possessing second-level Wizard Talent, had become Official Wizards largely by chance.

While not overly abundant, the Alliance certainly had a fair number of Wizard Apprentices with third-level talent.

Fourth-level talent was even more common, practically a dime a dozen!

"The Swamp Alliance has nineteen Wizard Apprentices with second-level Wizard Talent, and nearly a hundred with third-level," Marian said urgently.

"Can you accept all of them?"

"This..." Mo Ni grimaced.

"We would like to take all of them, but unfortunately, only twenty people can be sent over from your side."

"Can't you send more in batches?" someone asked.

"No," the old woman shook her head.

"This kind of Star Gate is a very old artifact; no one can repair it. The Divine here are well aware of this, or they wouldn't entrust it to your hands."

"Ten years!" she announced.

"It can only send people over every ten years."

Ten years?

The crowd furrowed their brows.

They knew the transportation needed to be done in batches, but they hadn't realized the numbers would be so few and the interval so long.

In that case… with several already being Official Wizards, it meant only a dozen or so others could go with them.

That number was too small!

Many who ought to have been on the list, including relatives of some Official Wizards, would be left out.

Mo Ni and the old woman, however, did not show much regret. Twenty people were just right. Even for the four major Wizard Organizations, simultaneously supporting hundreds of Wizard Apprentices advancing to Official Wizard was a significant strain. Ten for each organization was perfect.

"There is another way," the old woman spoke.

"You could first go to the Magic Forest and enter the Kaliem Continent from there. However, the Magic Forest is also not under our jurisdiction."

Magic Forest?

「Council Hall.」

A few Official Wizards from the Swamp Alliance gathered together.

"We definitely want to join a Wizard Organization. If possible, it would be best to join the same one."

"This doesn't need to be rushed; we still have some time before we can send people over," a Wizard said.

"Let's discuss the allocation of the twenty spots first."

"I think the rules should be changed. After all, during the assassination missions, several people with very low Wizard Talent ended up with many merits due to coincidence, like this Carl..."

"No!" Marian's expression changed, and she shouted angrily, "These rules were set when the tutor was here! What was agreed upon then should be adhered to now!"
