Top Urban Divine Doctor

Chapter 166

When Wang Dahai returned home, Zhang was still on the sofa, not having gone to sleep.

Looking at Zhang, he suddenly felt a bit guilty.

But Lin Wanqiu was acting very normal, and after coming back, she went inside to get clothes for a shower.

Wang Dahai returned to his room and listened to the sounds outside.

About an hour or so later, the lights outside were turned off, and sister-in-law and Zhang had both gone back to their room to sleep.

At this moment, the door to his room was suddenly pushed open, and a shadowy figure tiptoed in.

"Dahai."

Jiang Rou whispered his name and then crawled into his quilt.

Just as Wang Dahai hugged her and was about to make a move, he heard Jiang Rou say, "Zhang and sister-in-law seem to have had an argument."

"You noticed it too?"

Wang Dahai held her in his arms and slid his hand into his pants, kneading her buttocks.

"While you and sister-in-law were out for a walk, I spoke to Zhang about renting a place, and I felt that he was a bit off. After asking, I learned they had fought."

"Did you ask Zhang why they fought?"

"I did, but Zhang wouldn't say."

"So, what did Zhang say about you moving out?"

"He told me not to move out, but I told him that I had already found a place and paid the rent, so he didn't say much after that."

"When do you plan to move there?"

"Isn't tomorrow the weekend? I plan to move tomorrow. Can you help me move tomorrow, please?"

"Sure."

After Wang Dahai finished speaking, he suddenly buried his head under the quilt, grabbed her pants and pulled them down, spread her legs apart, and buried his head in the peach garden between them.

"Mhmm~"

Jiang Rou clenched the quilt tightly, bit her lips firmly, but her body trembled in waves, her blush rising instantly.

After a bit of struggle, they were both somewhat tired.

Since she was moving out tomorrow, Jiang Rou didn't go back to her room that night and slept in Wang Dahai's room.

Early the next day.

They woke up after nine in the morning.

Before getting out of bed, of course, they had another round of struggle.

When they came out of the room, Wang Dahai found that both sister-in-law and Zhang were not at home.

The two of them grabbed something to eat, and Wang Dahai began to help her pack.

Jiang Rou didn't have many belongings, just a suitcase and a backpack that carried everything.

Her coworker Zhou Qian had already given her the keys to the new place.

Before they headed over, Jiang Rou made a point to message Zhou Qian to ask if she was at home.

After all, it was the weekend, and if the young couple was sleeping in, going over at this time might disturb them.

After asking, they found out that Zhou Qian was home, but her boyfriend had gone to work overtime.

Furthermore, Zhou Qian didn't have the habit of sleeping in and had gotten up early. She was already tidying up at home.

When they arrived at Zhou Qian's house and pushed the door open, they saw Zhou Qian, who was hanging laundry on the balcony.

Ever since the last time he saw Zhou Qian, Wang Dahai couldn't stop thinking about this woman.

Seeing her again now, he still couldn't help feeling amazed.

It was the weekend and she was just wearing a loose pair of ice silk trousers and a grey collared ice silk short-sleeved shirt on top.

A very ordinary style, quite conservative.

Yet on Zhou Qian, it made him feel incredibly warm, and it made her already peaceful demeanor seem even more gentle.

"Miss Zhou." Jiang Rou called out as she entered.

Zhou Qian put down the clothes hanger, her smile gentle and tender, and said, "I've cleaned up your room for you, and I've also washed and put the duvet covers and such you bought in the room."

"Thank you, Miss Zhou."

"You're welcome."

Zhou Qian smiled and continued hanging clothes.

Wang Dahai struggled to retract his gaze and followed Jiang Rou into the room.

Half an hour later, the room was completely refreshed.

Jiang Rou looked at the small but cozy bedroom, her face also brimming with a faint smile.

"Dahai, let's invite Zhang and his wife over for dinner tonight," she suddenly said.

Wang Dahai hummed in agreement, "Let's not go out, we'll buy some groceries later and cook at home."

"Okay, I'll listen to you."

Jiang Rou took out her phone and walked outside: "I'm going to use the restroom, and I can tell Zhang about it while I'm at it."

"Then I'll wait for you in the living room."

Coming out of the room, Wang Dahai saw that Zhou Qian had finished hanging the laundry and was now sitting on the single sofa in the living room, engrossed in a book.

Her head bowed, the sunlight streaming in from the balcony behind her cast a faint golden glow upon her.

That ear-length short hair seemed to be enveloped in a hazy light.

It made her appear both gentle and pure.

For a moment, Wang Dahai found himself staring in a daze.

Zhou Qian seemed to sense his gaze and looked up slightly.

Wang Dahai quickly composed himself, giving her a slight smile before casually sitting down on the couch.

He glanced at the dumbbells on the balcony, "Do you also work out regularly?"

"Yeah," Zhou Qian smiled. "I work out occasionally."

Wang Dahai responded with an "Oh," adding, "That's good, I also have some fitness equipment, but I was worried about where to put it."

Zhou Qian suggested, "You could put it together on the balcony."

"Yeah, I'll bring it over later."

The quickest way to become familiar with a woman is to find a common topic.

He did not yet know Zhou Qian well enough, and from their interactions thus far, she seemed extremely reserved.

It was evident both from her speech and her attire.

But what Wang Dahai liked was precisely her conservatism.

After chatting for a few more moments, Wang Dahai pretended to take out his phone and start fiddling with it.

After all, being too talkative when not well acquainted might only lead to the woman's annoyance and dislike.

Therefore, moderation was the key.

Zhou Qian too continued reading her book, and the two did not disturb each other.

After a while, Jiang Rou came out of the restroom.

"Dahai, let's go," she said.

"Okay," Wang Dahai stood up, smiled at Zhou Qian, and followed Jiang Rou out.

Once outside, Jiang Rou said, "I've spoken to Zhang, they'll be back this afternoon."

"Then let's go buy some groceries first."

The two of them went to the market and bought lots of vegetables, and just had a simple lunch outside.

By four o'clock in the afternoon, Zhang and Lin Wanqiu returned, both looking utterly exhausted, with Lin Wanqiu going straight to her room upon arrival.

Wang Dahai then started cooking.

At half past five, the meal was ready.

Wang Dahai called out, "Zhang, dinner's ready."

Then he yelled toward the room, "Sister-in-law, it's time to eat."

Soon, Lin Wanqiu came out.

At dinner, she was silent, her expression stiff as if she had argued with Zhang again.

This made Jiang Rou afraid to speak out of turn.

After dinner, Lin Wanqiu said, "Dahai, walk with me."

Wang Dahai glanced at Jiang Rou, then at Zhang.

Jiang Rou stuck out her tongue, not overthinking the situation, just feeling sorry for Zhang who seemed to argue with his wife every day.

Zhang's gaze was complex, and he remained silent.

So, Wang Dahai hummed in acknowledgment and left with her.

As soon as they exited the elevator, Lin Wanqiu whispered, "Let's go for a walk by the river."
