"Cockroach!"

She placed the teacup on the coffee table and said softly.

"Thank you, Mrs. Qin," said Wang Dahai, his attention inward, thinking when would Bai Ruyi return.

It was a little awkward with just the two of them in the house.

After an uncomfortable wait of almost twenty minutes, Bai Ruyi finally returned.

Wang Dahai let out a sigh of relief, and so did Luo Qin.

The atmosphere in the room eased considerably.

Wang Dahai grabbed the vegetables and headed to the kitchen: "I'll cook, Mrs. Bai, you rest for a while."

"I'll help you," Luo Qin offered, following him.

"No need, Mrs. Qin, you rest, too."

Wang Dahai entered the kitchen and got to work without further discussion.

Seeing how adeptly he washed and chopped the vegetables, Luo Qin was a bit surprised: "Dahai, do you often cook?"

"Yep, I've been cooking since middle school."

After all, with just him at home, he'd starve if he didn't cook, so he had developed a decent culinary skill.

Luo Qin became even more embarrassed, "It's not a big deal, really... Ruyi is too much... Well, come on in."

Luo Qin closed the door, saying, "Dahai, thank you for today. Actually, it's so late, there probably won't be any issues."

Wang Dahai was curious, "Mrs. Qin, what exactly is the trouble?"

Halfway through his shower, he remembered he hadn't brought a change of clothes.

After a busy day, his clothes were already soaked with sweat.

Even though he could wear them, it was uncomfortable.

"Dahai, give me your dirty clothes, I'll wash them for you."
