Liandra
I made a mistake. What a fool I had been. Lady Izanami had told us that Amaya was the Lady of Storms. Yet I had to pry. Now I hang here, in her chains. I could feel the power, the rage. There was no mistaking this aura.
What had I been thinking? That she was a countess? That she was somehow bound by our laws? That my powers could avoid the gaze of an immortal? That I could simply talk my way out of this? I could feel the cold sweat dripping from my forehead. Before me was a force of nature, and I had angered it. The Dominion still had some artefacts and technically a treaty with Lady Izanami. But who knows what she would do, if started a war with Amaya. Lady Amaya. I had to fix this, somehow.
Amaya
I felt all the maid knights stir through the bond. I felt the grove truly awaken. Our combined powers enveloped the town. I was itching to charge outside, to watch over my domain with my own eyes. But I had a prisoner to watch.
Time moved slowly as I waited for Thessia, waited for a report. My aura was looking for a target, some enemy to smite. I had to calm myself a bit. I had to make sure none of my people got hurt by my storm. My power was here to protect them, to nourish them, to keep them safe.
After some time the door opened and Thessia entered, it looked like she had been running. "What happened?" She asked.
"A spy hid in Elisee's shadow. She claims to be working for the High Queen, I was hoping you could help identify what she is. Is she a parasite controlling the royal knight? Is she a demon?" I asked, with a surprisingly calm voice.
Thessia looked at the spy, hanging in my chains. My captive had gone pale, sweat dripping from her forehead.
"She is not a demon, she is a shadow elf. They do not have inherent powers to control someone. However, if she is a mage she could learn such spells." Thessia replied.

"Shadow elf?" I had never heard of that. I knew of sun elves, wood elves and night elves. Night elves were sometimes called dark elves and sun elves might also be known as high elves, but shadow elves were new.
"They are rare. It is said that they are the descendants of elves who sold their souls to darkness. More likely they are the descents of certain warlocks though. They are not evil, they are simply part shadow elemental. It gives them the power to become incorporeal and hide in shadows. It looks like you caught a strong one. Most of them are recruited by the Dominion but some decide to pursue less savory careers." Thessia explained.
"I do work for the Dominion! I accept that I have overstepped, Lady of Storms. I humbly beg for your forgiveness! I am willing to bear the consequences." Liandra pleaded.
"She is an agent of the High Queen! You cannot punish her!" Elisee added. The poor woman sounded pretty distraught.
Thessia chuckled. "Silly child, you are talking to the Lady of Storms. Can you not feel it? The storm that is surrounding us? It is easier outside. When you hear the wind, when you feel the rain… But you are standing right next to her. Surely even you can feel the power?"
I looked at Elisee. Maybe something finally clicked as she stared at me. I had always seen her as an ally. Meaning my aura was not meant to intimidate her, it was meant to comfort her, protect her. Had she misjudged me based on that?
While I pondered that, a new aura emerged. Fire. I could feel it getting warmer as the whole town was covered in it. But it was not hostile. The aura did not fight me, it wanted to join me. Lilith had arrived.
Maybe the snack I had fed her had formed a connection between us, or maybe we had just grown close enough for our powers to recognize each other. But I accepted her help. Our powers mingled. It was not the same as with Lucy. Lucy was truly a part of me and our auras become one, in a way. With Lilith it was more a collaboration of friends.
A new warmth filled the town. A fiery embrace offering protection to friends, and a blazing inferno to enemies. It was a curious feeling. My rain had not stopped but it became warmer. Mingling our auras might have interesting effects worth exploring, but that was for later.
"What is happening?" Liandra asked.
I studied my captive once more. I had not been paying too much attention to her gear before. She wore black leather armour, which was clearly magical. A short sword and a dagger hung from her felt. She had not been fighting the chains for a while now but the new presence made her struggle. Lilith was certainly not including her in the list of friendlies. Then again, neither was I, really. And Lilith likely followed my lead. I did not fully push my aura against Liandra, I did not want to smite her, but I was certainly treating her with suspicion. I slightly eased my pressure on her, now that Lilith was adding her own. I could also feel the demon lord getting closer.
"I think we have an expert on the way, when it comes to disguises and deceit. I am sure she will help clear it all up." I said, with a smile. I was feeling calmer now. My forces were alert and ready. My people seemed safe, for now.
Hopefully Liandra was telling the truth and we could solve this misunderstanding. If not, Lilith was good at extracting information. And she was almost here.
