Chapter 644: Legendary and Legends in Legends Chapter Eight Meeting (4)_4

"The bonfire has already been lit, right on the northern tundra." Knight Macken stood up, alongside the young man named Bakaris: "We will launch a deadly attack behind the snake-men, slowing their advance and making them struggle to respond!"

"I commend your bravery, but you are utterly alone right now." Barrend said: "How long can you hold out? One year or two? The northern tundra is entirely behind the snake-men's control area, and we can't assist you!"

"There is no need to worry about that." Macken scanned the room with a commanding gaze, speaking firmly: "If I say we can hold it, then we shall!"

The Elf Queen slightly nodded, her voice resuming its calm and gentle tone, soothing the worries of those present: "I am pleased to see such a strong fighter. If there is anything we can assist with, please do not hesitate to ask." She glanced at the metal fragments on the ground and continued: "Moreover, everyone need not be overly concerned. We are not the only ones on the continent aware of this. Before the meeting began, I spoke with Bahamut, the Dragon King. If necessary, we can call for their assistance."

"But such help never comes cheap!" Yim's merchant said: "Your Majesty, may we ask what you promised? We don't mean to blame, but we'd like to see if we can share some of the burden. Without investment, there is no return."

"You all needn't worry about this. What I promised them is the corpse of a god. They will tear apart the god called the Great Serpent." Hernfurry said indifferently.

"It can't be that simple," Lynch thought to himself. There must be more going on, otherwise the Elf Queen wouldn't use such a tone. She couldn't be negotiating with the dragons using something from the enemy. Bahamut has always been greedy, counting the world's treasures in its golden lair. Hernfurry must have taken great risks to seek it out. As soon as the dragons join the battle, even if we win, the elves will suffer tremendous losses.

The only way to avoid such a situation is to use overwhelming force to eliminate the snake-men, giving them no chance to breathe, which requires a massive amount of troops. In this world, soldiers can't just spring out of nowhere.

Lynch had already decided on his next destination; he would return to the gnome city, first to unlock the entire space, preventing the power of teleportation from being monopolized by the Great Serpent. At the final moment, he could summon the infernal army embroiled in a blood battle. Even with many snake-men, before a million of Hell's devils, they would be nothing more than a small ripple.

Hopefully, the cost of doing so would be less than Bahamut's greedy demands on the elves. Lynch looked at the Elf Queen, thinking: 'If someone must descend into Hell, let it be me. I'm more familiar with that place…'

The Elf Queen ordered the guards to bring forth a large map, marking all the countries on the Anriel Continent. They began sharing what they knew, indicating the distribution of the snake-men and the places that could still hold. Ambit unfolded the Dark Elves' underground map, combining it with the one mastered by the Dwarves.

Thus, all the generals gained a clear understanding of the current situation. The snake-men indeed held the advantage; their forces were tight, almost flawless. But as soon as they launched an offensive, they would inevitably show weaknesses. Looking at the map before them, everyone contemplated where the snake-men's final flaw might appear.

"At least that's the situation for now." Hernfurry stated: "Even though many obstacles lie ahead, we must take this path of resistance. Only more strength or wisdom can help us overcome the difficulties. In this war, be they weak or strong, everyone must fight for their lives. But isn't this the way of all things in the world? We have stood together in this world, battling various hardships, and have persisted until today! And what lies before us is another test. Friends of all races, who among you wishes to leave this alliance?"

No one answered.
