I didn't bother telling Richard or anyone else about the ants just yet. Since I planned on having the Clan handle this, there was no reason to get them all worried.
Especially since the ants were avoiding Cities for now.
The only people who I told were the boys, Vrusha, and Lidaz. I would let them handle the early preparations for now. I didn't plan on running off to go fight the ants in a rushed manner.
We will prepare properly.
But before that, Lirian was in my office with a request.
One that I raised my eyebrow at.
"So, roughly 1000 Qi Refinement members in the Clan are requesting permission to attempt advancement into the Core Formation realm?"
"Yes Patriarch."
I was a bit confused.
"Why do they need my permission? Shouldn't everyone in the business of trying to get stronger?"
"Yes Patriarch, but advancement comes with risk. If they fail in their advancement and end up crippled, or worse dead, then that is a resource loss to the Clan."
"Lirian."
"Yes Patriarch?"
"Never refer to anyone in my Clan as resources again."
Lirian tensed, but I needed him to understand how serious I was about this. I don't want thinking like that to spread in the Clan. Now although I can't sit here and pretend like I knew all of them by name, they aren't numbers on a piece of paper to me.
They are precious members of my Clan.
"Remember Lirian, the members of my Clan are family. Not resources. Your battles are my battles, your wins are my wins, your losses are my losses, your enemies are mine, and your friends the same.
"Not resources.
"Do you understand Lirian?"
He was about to kneel, but I stopped him.
"Stop, there's no need for that, just affirm that you understand."
"..I understand Patriarch."
"Good, make sure to pass that to everyone else in the Clan. Now regarding this request. If anyone wants to advance then go right ahead, there is no need to ask me for permission. Ah wait…I suppose let's put a ban on rushed cultivation.
"I don't want anyone trying advance before they are truly ready. Oh, and communicating that you are undertaking an advancement to your superior is necessary. I expect the members of the Clan to ensure that everyone has the best environment possible to attempt their breakthrough.
"Hm…that will fall on you and your brother.
"Other than, as long as they are ready, then advance at will. I'm expecting good results. Sounds good?"

"Yes Patriarch!"
That might've been the first time I've actually had to correct Lirian or Frian. It feels weird, but I think it was necessary. Hopefully that doesn't reset the some of the closeness we've developed recently.
But that conversation does bring up another point.
It is not like we will be collecting a new batch of Infernals anytime soon, and I'm sure all of our Qi Refinement Infernals will soon all be joining the Core Formation ranks. I don't want them pushing documents all day.
So…it might be a good time to begin hiring people for the Clan.
Oh.
All the ant food people.
I'm sure some of them will be excited to work for the Clan that saved them all. Or at least hopefully.
Anyway, I think it's finally time to Integrate.
I went through the interface and selected the button to start the whole thing.
A few notifications popped off.
Ding!
The Planet Earth is now being Integrated into the Multiversal System at the behest of Planetary Lord Raizen.
Alert: Please be aware that the Planet's location will now be available through System Created maps.
Alert: Please designate a location to receive visitors to the Planet in no more than 1:59:58.
Alert: Integration will complete in 2:59:55.
Alert: Please be aware that all planetary communication will be directed towards the Planetary Lord unless the Steward is designated as such.
So I have to pick a visitors location huh. An embassy for Earth then? Sounds kind of cool. But where would I want something like that.
All manner of potential danger could be coming to Earth. I would want something like that heavily monitored and guarded.
Then I'll put the embassy just outside of the Infernal District then.
Though…we will need a proper system in place to handle these visitors. I wouldn't want them just coming here and roaming around doing who knows what.
Hm.
What to do…
"Vrusha."
The man then entered my office.
"Send word to Lidaz. I need an area just outside of the Infernal District built to receive visitors from other planets and universes. He also needs to figure out a way to handle them once they visit.
"The area doesn't have to be special for now, we can always improve it later."
"Understood Patriarch."
Alright, now for communication. I think I'll handle those responsibilities for now. Kind of curious about the process and how it all works.
So while Lidaz and whatever department in charge of building and planning things got to wort over the next couple of hours, I simply stayed in my office and read.
There was nothing stopping me from bringing books out of library, and the in my hand at the moment was pretty important.
It was titled, "So you found Spirit Stones?"
The first page was just a few words from the author leaving contact information so the reader could reach them if they so wished to discuss spirt stones. It wasn't a phone number or anything though, instead it was the location of a place called the Spacallius Auction Hall on Planet Spacall, in the Spacall Universe.
Pretty sure that was a scam of sorts, but the rest of the book had a lot of good information.
I already knew spirit stones had a ranking system since Greja and the Olirag paid me 10,000 High Grade Rank 1 Spirit Stones, for 10 of those fruits,
But what I didn't know was the full extent of it all.
In total there are 5 ranks, and all of them have low, mid, and high grades with the exception of the 5th rank.
A 5th rank Spirit Stone was realm all by itself and the book didn't have much to say regarding their value. All it said was that buying a single one would bankrupt a planet. I don't think I'm able to fully grasp what that truly means but I get it.
Anyway, the most important piece of information in the book was the conversion rate. Forgetting the purity grades for a moment. In general a Rank 2 Spirit Stone was worth 100 Rank 1s. Rank 3 would require roughly 1000 Rank 2s, while Rank 4s is another big jump, requiring 10,000 Rank 3 Spirit Stones.
Low, mid, and high grades for each stone will add and remove spirit stones here and there, but it won't be too far off from the numbers given.
Anyway, this got me thinking.
The parting gift that Jrino left for me was a formation and few hundred spirit stones. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but now I wonder exactly what Rank the stones were.
I took one out and compared to the ones I knew for sure were High Grade Rank 1 stones.
The difference was alarming.
The amount of Qi I could feel coming from the parting gift stone couldn't be compared to the other one.
And to make sure It wasn't a fluke, I checked a few more.
These are Rank 2 Spirit Stones.
It seems I might owe the Olirag Clan a favor.
