The Lich of Glory Knight Spirit: Moving towards Krimasha!

Chapter 39: Jones and Andrew (2)_2

Jones rolled his eyes, "Whatever, Father has already pardoned you, I'm not here to seek vengeance. Though I really don't like you."

"Not here for vengeance, then what are you here for?" Andrew immediately breathed a sigh of relief, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and said with a smile, "I heard you inherited part of the power of the White Bone Holy Light Court. Honestly, that's really surprising. You almost never used to call Gray 'Father' and tried to avoid talking about your adoptive father-son relationship. But just now, even while talking to me, you called him 'Father' so naturally. I'm quite... surprised. You know what I mean."

Saying this, Andrew laughed, glancing around at everyone.

Jones did not laugh, he just stared at him quietly without saying a word.

Everyone present was silently staring at Andrew. Especially with two Liches among them, Andrew's scalp began to tingle. The laughter gradually became awkward.

After a long while, Andrew collected himself and said, "*So... what do you want from me?*"

Jones looked at Andrew and coldly asked, "Are you searching for the Krimasha Relics?"

"Uh... yes." Andrew nodded with a stiff neck.

"Have you found it?"

"Not yet... well, we found some small outer relics, but the harvest wasn't significant."

"Are you working for the Blood Elves? I mean, for the Blood Elf Queen Tini Shabasi."

"No! I'm working for the Lunbak Royal Family!" Andrew shouted quickly.

"Then why do I feel like the Lunbak Royal Family is working for you?" Jones continued coldly.

Clearly, after all these years, even for an immortal species, a few years can bring significant changes, especially in terms of experience. The Jones of today was no longer the Jones of the past, clearly not one to be fooled.

Helpless, Andrew confessed, "There... there is a little connection with Tini Shabasi. Just a little."

"What did they give you?"

"Wealth, and shared knowledge."

"Shared knowledge?"

"The items excavated from the Krimasha Relics are very fragmented, almost nothing in good condition. A lot of manpower is needed for restoration. Even the texts need to be translated. I can't do it alone."

"Can I ask you to stop immediately?"

"Stop?" Andrew, who had been bluffing earlier, was suddenly dumbfounded.

"Yes, stop. I need Moldo Ore, it's very important, and only the Blood Elves have it. Only the secrets within the Krimasha Relics can be traded for it from the Blood Elves. If you continue to serve them, it will be very difficult for me to obtain it." Jones replied calmly.

"No, you can't. You have no authority over me." Andrew became somewhat agitated.

"No, I do have authority."

"You don't. I'm no longer a wanted man, Gray pardoned me. You have no authority to force me to do or not do anything. This does not conform to the Knight's spirit, nor will it align with the White Bone Holy Light Court's teachings."

"I think you have messed up your logic," Jones said indifferently, "If I want to intervene, there's no need to base it on the mistakes you made in the past. I can use another reason. For example, you encouraged Lunbak to annex Gustav's territory."

"You have no evidence."

"I don't need evidence. No, to be exact, I don't need to convict you to achieve a reasonable intervention. Whether or not you instigated it doesn't matter, Lunbak's invasion of Gustav is a fact. Gustav is now under the Southern Alliance's trusteeship. All I need to do is write a letter to Uncle Benedict, informing him of what's happening here, and I can achieve the same result immediately."

Andrew's expression stiffened, staring at Jones in shock.

Jones watched him silently, with a determined look.

"Are you threatening me?"

"It's not a threat, it's advice. Uncle Benedict is very busy lately. If unnecessary, I don't want to trouble him. But if you are sure you won't cooperate, I don't mind troubling him a bit. Of course, he would be very happy to be troubled, as he also needs Moldo Ore. Tell me when you plan to evacuate, or, I'll set the time for you."

Andrew's eyes widened.

Jones stood his ground.

The two sides remained in a stalemate.

Time passed by slowly.

The candlelight reflected on Jones's youthful face, as well as on Andrew's weather-beaten face.

After a long while, Andrew finally took a step back, glancing at the two Liches nearby, and said softly, "Fine, I'll leave. The Krimasha Relics are yours, congratulations. Also, you handle things more decisively than your adoptive father Gray. Maybe Gray's downfall wasn't necessarily a bad thing for the White Bone Holy Light Court. Hahaha."

Laughing, Andrew casually picked up his backpack, shoved a few books from the table into it, took one last look at Jones, lifted the curtain, and left.

From a distance, Turuk's voice could be heard calling, "Master, weren't you sleeping?"

"I'll sleep in your tent."

"What happened? Why won't you sleep in your own tent?"

"Don't ask unnecessary questions. Let's go."

The tent was now quiet, with only Jones, Lucy, William, and Adelle inside.

Looking at Jones, Adelle asked softly, "I can't believe you two were once comrades. It seems like you are stricter with him than with anyone else. I thought you'd choose a mutually beneficial method, at least a compromise. But... This is actually the way I agreed with the most."

*Staring in the direction of Andrew's departure, Jones said coldly,* "He is a traitor. During the Battle of Salted Fish Port, there was only one traitor in the entire Silver Moon Knight Order, and it was him."

"Alright then, a traitor is a different matter. Traitors are more detestable than enemies." Adelle shrugged helplessly.

William laughed, "If he's a traitor, then killing him seems the most fitting."

"We can't do that. Father has pardoned him. If we kill him, it would go against Father's wishes."

"Fine, I was just saying." William shrugged.

Lucy teased from the side, "You should learn from me. My faith is steadfast enough. I never think about killing anyone. But, to be honest, I still don't fully understand. I need to work harder to learn."

"What next?" Adelle asked.

"It's almost daylight; I need to hurry back to Cartier. They're waiting for me there. I plan to meet with the Blood Elf Queen once more and inform her of this new development."

...

From a distance, Andrew quietly lifted the curtain of the tent window, peering at the tent that used to be his.

"Master, what are you looking at?" Turuk asked.

"Just seeing if the old friend has left." Andrew stretched his neck and answered nonchalantly.

"Old friend? Did someone sneak in?" Turuk was stunned.

"Shh! Don't shout! If calling people to fight would work, I would have done it long ago."

"We can't win even if we all charge together?"

"There are two Liches and two Blood Clan members inside."

"Liches... the White Bone Holy Light Court?"

"Yes. Don't worry, they mean us no harm, but we have to leave here tomorrow."

"Leave?"

"Yes, we've calculated the location of the Krimasha Relics, but they want us to leave immediately, or they might use force."

"So... are we just going to give up?"

"Of course not." Half-squinting his eyes, Andrew said slowly, "We'll secretly excavate the Krimasha Relics without letting them know, which is the same as not excavating at all, right? What's in the mouth, do they want me to spit it out? Dream on. Even if Gray came, I wouldn't back down, let alone you, Jones."
