Interlude XXX
(Larry Yo-Boy's BiPrism News + Magical Supplies)
"Are you ready for REGIONAL!" An enthusiastic Larry Yo-Boy screams into the microphone, as multiple screens behind him show feeds from many of the different servers covering the many different government supported worlds and their favorite contestants on each.
"That's right, this week we will finally see what the training efforts from everyone on every planet have amounted to. With that in mind I have a few updates, and my own new personal dark horse that I am rooting for, and a quick note, I'm sorry Dr. Spiritlight, but it unfortunately is not you this time."
Pause.
"That said, I think I should go over the format here so we can expect what will happen over the course of the next few months. First, tomorrow will be the Guild and or city coronation days. This will be when each City Lord and Guild Master bestows their blessing over each participant who will compete in the upcoming Regional Rounds. At which time the first of three increasingly larger regional areas will compete for dominance, until a singular group or individual is chosen for the planet."
"In all, we are expecting three Regional rounds, happening in a day, with the rest of the week noted as travel time so participants can get to the next staging point. Where the second and third rounds will be chosen at random and allegedly on neutral grounds."
"With the upcoming layout of what we can expect on BiPrism out of the way, it is time to show what future competitors our heroes will have to face once they leave BiPrism and go on to represent the world in the next phase. The first truly preliminary round that will happen three months from now."
"In an effort to not appear biased, I will take bits and clips from BiPrism's own most likely to qualify teams and compare them against their likely top opponents. While this won't matter for the upcoming Regional Qualifiers, it will show us all what the level of competition will be like beyond this next round."
"Now, I know I shouldn't count on the most likely contestants making it through Regionals, but lets face it some of these other servers are going to have mock competitions to get their aces through combat with minimal casualties. In fact, many Legrand Empire warriors are planning to do this as well,
With that introduction out of the way, a first clip showing two side by side comparisons of the training being done by BiPrism's Midnight Hunters, and those being done by Diasphoria's Magical Alliance.
The magic being conducted by each was impressive, though the magic being performed by Diasphoria's Magical Alliance was by far and away flashier and seemingly more powerful.

"Going to be tough without the Doctor there performing chaos on the battlefield. Even Penelope Tailor, the now undisputed second in command of magic will also not be participating in the competitions, making it up to the B team of even the Magical classes to pass these events."
With that the side by side reels ended and switched to Martial combatants. This time it was BiPrism's Midnight Hunters again against Xinxian-ing Polar's Rising Ascendance.
"As for Martial training, well I think there is going to be little doubt that Rising Ascendance will be the group to beat. Even with the noted changes that have occurred over the past few months, causing most martial warriors to have to change the way they fight, it should still be Rising Ascendance, regardless of who makes it through from BiPrism."
Long sigh.
"With that, I was going to do a side by side comparison of Dr. Spiritlight versus Nebula's Gundgnam Style Force team, but in all consciousness I couldn't. Instead, I am going to showcase my dark horse right here and now."
Dramatic Pause.
"Just kidding, we are going to show a three way view of the top competitors for the Mobile Suit competitions. We have Nebula's Gundgnam Style Force on the far right. On the far left we have Dr. Spiritlight. And there taking up the center is my Dark Horse pick."
With that the screen splits into thirds, showcasing the movements of the noted Gundam Style Force team in action, working with precision strikes. On the far left you have Dr. Spiritlight piloting Raygunnr who had his own music synced up to his off cadence pulsing of copyrighted musical lyrics, then in the center was just a dark screen for a moment.
"Oh, there seems to be some technical difficulties on our end. Who could the dark horse be?"
SLAM!
At that Larry slams his hand down onto the desk in front of him in an overly dramatic gesture. Which was apparently the cue for the person off screen to reveal the dark horse candidate. As the figure appeared, it was a mech that moved quickly and nimbly, moving around an obstacle course, slashing at pop up opponents with a sword, before raising a rail gun with their left hand and firing quick bursts of shots towards targets that appeared hundreds of meters away.
Larry, who had been shaking his hand gently after the violent slam paused, then realizing he was still on screen pulled his hand close to his chest and continued.
"Yep, a little too much enthusiasm there folks, but as you can see the third person with a chance at winning at least the individual competition is the person who invented GunFu himself, Mr. Wick aka #TheRealKeanu. That's right, he is my chosen champion. Now I'm not a betting man, as that is a sin, but if I wanted to take the odds, now would be the time to jump as the odds are clearly going to shift away from the huge payouts here, should others see this broadcast."
Larry who had been covering his hand, and therefor unable to witness the apparent death glares he was getting off camera finally heard something in his earpiece, which he touched with his uninjured left hand.
"That was just a recommendation to watch us here first for quick analysis and breakdowns. Remember gambling is dangers, which is why you should always gamble responsibly, and never gamble more than you can afford to lose. If you need help, call the hotlines. They do work, I am proof."
At that Larry stared off screen like a deer caught in the headlights, and only after a second did he relax.
"Well, that's all for our show today, as I apparently need to go to the doctors." Larry quipped, but judging by the way he held his injured right hand close to his body, it might not be much of a joke.
Lights dim.
Suddenly a very pained Larry calls out, "I mean it, I think we need to go. I'm pretty sure it is broken."
Pause.
"We are still live? Ugh."
With that a female figure could be seen walking forward in the shadows.
"Probably karma catching up to you for going against Dr. Spiritlight."
"Oh you still have that pixie fet… AHHHH!" Larry begins, but is quickly cut off by the dark silhouette of a woman who reached out and grabbed the injured hand and began to feel the bones violently.
"I'm sorry, but yeah, you aren't apparently dense all over, as I think you are right that you broke your hand." There was a slight pause, "which is good, as it means you can't place wagers."
"See, glass half full," Larry commented.
Then finally, the thirty second timer ended and the transmission finally ended.
