"Divine Lord, there's news. The Beidou Star Domain seems to have some unusual occurrences—possibly something we're looking for."
"The Beidou Star Domain? Are you certain?"
Beidou isn't too far from Ancestor Star—just a few hundred light-years away.
Song Lin had already sent people to investigate this place.
Unfortunately, no one had been able to comprehend the Great Dao of Beidou; otherwise, there would have been a Beidou Star Lord by now.
The power of Beidou might only reveal itself if he managed to free up enough time to explore and comprehend it himself.
After all, he was already blessed with the Ziwei Dao Pattern.
But what he hadn't expected was the clue regarding Heavenly Water found there.
"Go ahead, tell me everything."
"The customs and culture of Guangyuan Star are quite similar to ours. According to Divine Turtle's calculations, it's possible that people from Ancestor Star migrated to Guangyuan Star several years ago, establishing their civilization."
It's not just this star—many of the eighteen stars bear similarities to their native counterparts, likely passing down Ancestor Star's heritage. But those immigrants from way back are long gone, either due to the passage of time or the devastation caused by the Upper Pure Demon Tribulation.
Beyond these possibilities, there seems to be no other explanation.
From ancient legends, however, Shi Yinhua and others managed to uncover an important clue.
That clue pertains to the existence of Heavenly Water.
Guangyuan mythology speaks of celestial immortals called Heavenly Humans. They're born in adult form, skipping childhood and old age, with lifespans of at least five hundred years.
In their prime existence, they remain at the pinnacle until their life abruptly ends.
Heavenly Humans are said to be born from the Heavenly Pond, where the pool's water nurtures life—this is the origin of Heavenly Humans.
"Based on the myth, Heavenly Humans may be born already in the Qi Refinement stage. The pond's water likely aligns with the description of Heavenly Water."
"Heavenly Humans..."
Song Lin thought to himself: Isn't this just a fortified version of Taoist Soldiers?
Perhaps slightly more sentient; if they could be subdued, they might provide valuable reinforcements for the Heavenly Court.
"The divinity presiding over the Heavenly Humans is known as the Lord Emperor. In mythology, he's described as the source of all creation—potentially resembling a Small Heavenly Court."
Song Lin said as much.
People from Guangyuan Star seemed to have discovered the Heavenly Humans in Beidou, so perhaps clues about them could indeed be found in Beidou.
"You are already at the Primordial Spirit stage, capable of traveling independently through the boundless void. Take a Star Raft and a team to investigate."
"Understood!"
After Shi Yinhua departed, Song Lin's Divine Thought returned to the dharma image of his original body in the void, continuing to absorb the Power of the Taiyang.
The progress was now at ninety percent, with the remainder growing increasingly challenging.
Song Lin didn't want to divert his attention by opening the story world.
Since his true self was stationed in the boundless void, while his sensations in the story world were still connected, his reactions to imminent danger there would be notably slower.
Moreover, he had deciphered the story's patterns. As his cultivation advanced, the consequences of dying in the story world increasingly impacted his reality.
If he were to perish in the story world, though he wouldn't die in reality, he'd suffer considerable damage—at the very least, a severe depletion of Primordial Energy.
Even losing one or two points of Harmonization progress could set back the completion of Harmonization Perfection or even achieving the Heavenly Immortal Dao by decades or centuries.
The Upper Pure Demon Tribulation approached ominously.
If the Heavenly Court weren't properly fortified, it would lead to a catastrophic loss.
Thus, Song Lin avoided opening the story world.
He couldn't afford to juggle both fronts. At the very least, he needed to attain Harmonization Perfection, eliminate Ghost Gate, and establish the Heavenly Court's imperial structure before venturing into the story realm again—likely within the next century.
Having attained Harmonization Perfection, opening a new world held a high probability of discovering the Heavenly Immortal Dao.
Song Lin held the green candle lamp in his hands, closed his eyes, and immersed himself in the sensations of the Great Dao.
Time quietly flowed by.
Shi Yinhua and his team scoured the neighboring star domains around Beidou and finally, on a barren asteroid, uncovered traces.
Below them, undulating mountain ranges faintly formed the contours of a grand array. They also spotted marks of human excavation upon its surface.
Standing on the desolate gray earth, Shi Yinhua gazed at the massive, bottomless pit ahead.
"It looks like a mine," said an attendant behind him.
He promptly dispatched Taoist Soldiers to delve into the pit. After a long while, one of the soldiers emerged, carrying a fist-sized, yellowish-brown semi-transparent crystal.
Shi Yinhua took it for inspection and exclaimed in surprise, "Huh, is this amber? No... This is amber infused with pure Heaven and Earth Essence Qi."
The Taoist Soldiers began extracting amber piece by piece. Some amber contained ancient mosquitoes and ants. After countless years of sedimentation, these pieces possessed exceptionally pure Heaven and Earth Essence Qi.
Shi Yinhua recognized immediately that this area might have once been a life star from an immensely distant era, possibly pre-dating the Upper Pure Demon Tribulation.
Worlds undergo perpetual cycles—Upper Pure Demon Tribulations and sentient beings coexist symbiotically.
If Demon Tribulations destroy sentient beings and the world itself, they typically don't linger in the realm. Instead, like parasites, they breach the Small Thousand World and transform into Outer Heaven Demons, seeking new prey.
Meanwhile, worlds gradually recover over countless ages, beginning new cycles anew.
Although this particular Small Thousand World had seen thirty-six instances of the Upper Pure Demon Tribulation—indicative of sentient beings existing for 360,000 years—this didn't necessarily mean the world was only 360,000 years old.
These minerals might have been deposited across countless world destructions.
"These are just scraps; if intact amber were found, it might contain cultivation techniques, pills, plants, or even sealed Great Dao."
The Assistant Immortal Officer, experienced in such matters, inferred much about the civilization through the minerals.
"Therefore, this civilization likely excelled in plundering and possessed significant ancient relics. True Monarch, my conclusion is that this was a civilization with top-tier Harmonization capabilities."
"I see."
There was no need to speculate—any civilization capable of leaving their planet and plundering resources was no minor power.
Another Immortal Official spoke up, "Alright, the array diagrams have been recorded."
"Understood. Assign a team to guard this site. I'll deliver the findings to Emperor Jin Xuan (Divine Turtle) for evaluation."
Several months later.
Zhengxin, Divine Turtle, and Mei Hua arrived at the site.
"This array has an ancient aura," Divine Turtle remarked.
"Indeed, bold and sweeping—traits seen only in the Ancient Era," Mei Hua replied.
Arrays today lean toward sophistication and compact design. If crafted by them, this array wouldn't span more than ten acres.
Of course, there's no hierarchy of better or worse—perhaps the original creators were simply extravagantly wealthy and indifferent to material conservation, or maybe they didn't care how the star developed after it served their needs.
"Can the array be restored?" someone asked.
"Certainly, restoration is possible. Gather more personnel," Divine Turtle instructed.
Under Divine Turtle's guidance, thirty thousand Taoist Soldiers worked tirelessly for several days, carefully restructuring the mountain ranges. Through their infusion of Essence Qi, the shattered array gradually returned to its original form.
The challenge wasn't the complexity of the array but its sheer manpower demands, as it spanned a significant portion of the star's surface. Furthermore, parts of the array required the introduction of flowing water to complete its structure.
Soon, the array measuring a thousand square kilometers was fully restored.
With Divine Turtle channeling his mana—
Boom!
A golden pillar of light shot into the void, then exploded like fireworks.
Countless threads of golden light formed an intricate array in the sky.
At the array's center, faint ruins of an Immortal Palace appeared.
"There's no need to panic; it's merely a phantom image. After so many years, the palace probably no longer exists..."
The palace gates stood wide open, revealing a pitch-black void within. Above the entrance hung a plaque inscribed with "Yaochi Immortal Sect."
"This gate is likely a passage to another world. It's time to report to the Divine Lord."
Soon, the news reached Song Lin beside Ancestor Star.
"Yaochi Immortal Sect? Yaochi?"
Song Lin's otherwise placid mind stirred with a hint of surprise.
Could the West Queen Mother Heavenly Court have already left their mark upon this realm?
Was it possible they'd reunite in this dimension?
