He's been waiting for this day for more than four years, ever since the day he first laid his eyes on his wife's daughter—his stepdaughter.

The very thought of devouring such an innocent girl gave him the strongest erection he had ever experienced—stronger even than what his current wife and ex-wife had ever given him.

He wanted to claim the girl for himself alone, knowing that his two sons also desired her. So he protected her, always keeping an eye on her whenever she visited their house to see her mother, and whenever his sons tried to make a move on her.

During that time, he could have made a move on his stepdaughter—but not yet.

Surely, taking her then would have satisfied him, but it would have been like eating a delicious yet unripe fruit. So he waited, letting the fruit ripen on the tree, letting the girl grow until she was mature enough for him to take when she had reached her sweetest stage.

And this day, at the girl's 18th birthday, he would finally harvest the fruit; he would devour his stepdaughter until he was satisfied. His wife was gone on a business trip he had arranged. His two sons agreed to leave them alone, in the promise that they would have their turn once he was done.

Everything was ready—the party for the two of them, the cake as an appetizer before the main meal, the gown for foreplay, and the bed, which was the stage—even the supplement he had already taken, which would make him last for 24 hours. The only problem was...

"Where the fuc' is Veena!?"

On the morning of Veena's 18th birthday, Jess and Jeff took her out on a date at Central City downtown—treating her to a sweets marathon at different stores Mira and Mina recommended, shopping for new clothes Jess chose for her, having lunch at one of the restaurants in business with Nubia, then exploring the shopping mall until they found a brown dog plushie bed that Jess bought as her birthday gift for Veena, to be delivered at Jeff's apartment in Capital City.

By the afternoon, Jeff drove the car as the three of them went sightseeing around Central City until they went home at dusk for the celebration party starting in the evening.

"Happy 18th birthday, Veena!!"

"Sob... Thank you... Sob... Waahh~"

Veena cried even before she could finish saying her gratitude, unable to contain how happy she was with everything she had received for her 18th birthday—the party, the gifts, the attention, and a new family that accepted her, along with being her beloved senpai's girlfriend and her scary senpai's as well.

"If you cry like that, your tears will ruin your makeup," Jeff said, wiping Veena's tears, only for Veena to embrace him and bury her face into his chest, staining his black suit with her tears.

"Just let her cry, idiot," Jess retorted, embracing Veena from behind as Jeff embraced her as well with Veena between them.

After Veena had calmed down from her emotional outburst, the dance for her 18 roses began as the music played. For her first rose, her dance partner wasn't Jeff or any of the boys who were her friends, but rather, Jess herself.

Watching Jess and Veena dance together to the solemn music—Jess wearing a red-and-black-themed gown and Veena in white and silver with a blue scarf to hide the bite mark on her neck—it wasn't only the thought of how beautiful the two of them were that came to Jeff's mind, but also one of his regrets he wouldn't be able to correct even with the mysterious power of the Returner Fantasy System that regressed him back 12 years in the past.

Veena's second and third roses were given with Kris and Marc as her dance partners, followed by Jeff's younger and older brothers, and the rest were Veena's friends until it was time for the 18th rose with Jeff as her dance partner.

"Happy 18th birthday, Vee," Jeff said, gently holding Veena by the waist before leaning down with his face right above hers as if giving her a kiss.

"Thank you so much, Jeff-senpai," Veena replied with a cheerful smile far brighter than Jeff had ever seen before.

That should have completed Quest 23 of the Returner Fantasy System. However...

"You still have another party with Nubia, so is there anything else you want, Vee?" Jeff asked as the two of them continued to dance through the music.

His question wasn't just intended so he could pamper Veena even more, but to figure out what Veena's most desired gift could be to complete Quest 24.

"But you have already given me so much..." Veena murmured, as if she was about to cry again, tears welling in her eyes.

"You can always ask me for more."

"Then I'll think what else I want."

The remaining incomplete Quests 23 was concerning, but Jeff still had a few hours, so he could worry about them later. After all, those weren't the only things he needed to complete before the countdown ended. He had another personal quest that had remained incomplete for years, one he could only complete tonight.

With the music coming to an end, Veena's 18 roses were complete, and Jeff guided her to her seat beside Jess. And as if on cue, the music began playing again—but this time, it wasn't for Veena.

"I know I'm more than two years late, but will you still give me this dance, Jess?" Jeff said, kneeling before her. He held out his right hand, offering hers, while his left carried a rose—one he hadn't been able to give her on her eighteenth birthday, weighed down by his foolishness and the guilt of having ignored her back then.

"Idiot... Sob..." Jess cried as she took his hand and stood from her seat—not to accept her 18th rose or the dance yet, but to embrace him first.

"Sob... Did you really have to make me wait this long... Sob..."

"I'm sorry for being such an idiot husband."

"Sob... Don't try to use this moment to get a promotion... Idiot."

"Sob... Waahhh~!"

Despite not knowing the entire situation, it was actually Veena who was crying even louder at the heartfelt moment between Jess and Jeff.

After Jeff and Jess's dance—which lasted even longer than Veena's dance with Jeff and only ended when Jess felt embarrassed upon noticing that her mother was recording it—the evening meals and drinks were finally served for everyone to enjoy.

"If you had told us about her birthday at least a day earlier, we could have prepared a more proper party for Veena."

"It was kind of decided in an instant, so you really can't blame me..."

While Jeff was being scolded by his mother for informing them about celebrating Veena's 18th birthday at their home only a day before—

"Gyahhh~... Please take that down!"

Jess, on the other hand, was being toyed with again by her own mother, who restrained her as Mira and Mina fixed onto the wall the 1-by-1 actual-size poster of Jess's modeling cover photo that Veena bought as an offering for her.

Meanwhile, Veena received a sudden video call from her mother.

—"Where are you right now, Veena!? Why aren't you answering the calls from your stepfather!? Don't you know how worried he was about you!"—

Veena had indeed been ignoring the more than a hundred missed calls from her stepfather since yesterday. Not only because she didn't know how to explain that she decided not to attend the birthday party they prepared for her and instead spent her time with her beloved senpai. It was also because the number of missed calls scared her.

Still, even she wouldn't ignore a call from her own mother.

"I'm with Jeff-senpai..." she murmured, unsure of what to say to quell her mother's anger—until Jess grabbed the smartphone from her and interrupted the conversation.

"She's with her boyfriend and girlfriend, so that should explain enough," Jess said without any intention of being respectful as she glared at Veena's mother.

"Besides, she's old enough now to decide for herself and do what she wants." She added, annoyed upon remembering what Jeff told her before—that Veena's mother didn't actually care or give much attention to her.

—"Boyfriend? Girlfriend? What does that mean? And who even are you... Wait, I think I've seen you somewhere..."—

While Veena's mother was still trying to figure out where she might have seen Jess, Jeff took the smartphone and briefly explained the situation.

"I'm Jeff, auntie. You probably remember seeing me with Vee a few times before, so you don't have to worry about her." He said, then ended the call and shut off Veena's smartphone before putting it inside his pocket.

"Jeff-senpai..." Veena murmured, anxious about her mother.

"We'll talk properly to your mother some other day, so don't worry, Vee."

"Mhm..."

The celebration party continued as the clock slowly approached midnight, and the countdown of Quest 23 came to an hour left.

Jeff thought that Quest 23 would be completed as the day of Veena's 18th birthday came to an end.

Or so he believed...
