The First Mythical Dragon: Harem System

Chapter 236: Don't make me regret

A week had now passed since the incident with Clint and the Pincer gang.

And in this full week, Max contacted Jake, asking him to send new gang uniforms for the members of the Pincer gang along with burner phones.

The hybrid was shocked when he heard that Max had taken control of another tier 3 gang and town.

But he hurriedly set his shock aside and within a few days, the uniforms and phones were delivered.

Jake unfortunately couldn't come over as he was held up back at the Hunter's association while trying to grow Max's town and while arranging new plans.

With Ava's little wealth, she was able to rebuild her red light district establishment again in one full week.

And soon enough, the town was back in full swing.

The little crowd of townspeople from earlier had quickly spread the news of the new control and some people were displeased thinking another group of dark forces had appeared out of nowhere.

But Max wasn't even slightly concerned as he left the PR and all other matters to Ava while she got her gang in order.

And now, she, Max and Jim could be seen seated in her new office discussing.

"So… you both are hunters and you hunt beasts? But actually the association was created for the purpose of slaying demons? He is an E rank hunter," Ava recapped, pointing towards Jim. "And you are a B rank hunter huh?

You took control of the gang disturbing your town and turned it into yours, you have a best buddy in the association doing the planning and everything. So you actually just came here to turn Jim into a dragon and head back when you got tangled in all that mess huh?"

"Exactly." Max replied calmly, his arms crossed, and beside him was Jim, while in front of them sat Ava.

Just like Jim, she was also able to hide her draconic features due to the family skill they shared.

"Welp, that's a lot to take in." Ava muttered as she leaned back in her chair, rubbing her temples in deep thought. "Who knew that beasts too were real. But I don't even know why I'm shocked because if demons and dragons can be real, surely beasts would also be real."

"That's how it goes." Max shrugged nonchalantly, his relaxed expression showing he had mentally accepted this chaotic world long ago.

"Did he also forget to add that he pissed off a tier 2 gang and sooner or later, we would actually go to war with them." Jim added, causing Ava to freeze in shock as her eyes widened in horror.

"A tier 2 gang?! That's suicide." She shouted as she shot out of her seat, mouth slightly agape. "Those kinds of gangs always have a lot of hybrids wrapped around their fingers and you pissed them off? What do you expect to do to them with three dragons and a few humans?"

"Don't forget that our best friend is a hybrid too. A terrifyingly strong one at that." Jim added as he glared at the female, his arms folded tightly as if daring her to argue.

Ava gulped quietly, her gaze darting between them. She knew they were reckless, but she also sensed they weren't joking. The room grew tense as the weight of their future battle hung over them, creating an atmosphere thick enough to cut with a knife.

"Still no difference. They have a lot of hybrids along with hundreds of well trained humans with solid connections. That's how terrifying a tier 2 gang and above are." Ava clapped back with a deep frown on her face, her fingers tapping the desk in frustration.

"Is that why you are panicking?" Max asked with a small frown. "Honestly, the incident that caused the tension between me and the gang happened inside the Hunter association, so I'm sure they would be cautious. They won't want to piss the association off since I'm still a member.

Especially since we have a lot of strong hunters in the association, you need to relax. They won't do anything now."

"Yeah. And to stay on the safe side, that is why we are slowly building our own numbers, strengthening the gang." Jim added with a small frown. "We are also saving up the paycheck we get from the association. We want to use it to get a hybrid serum. It will be nice to have another hybrid in our gang."

'Hmm… from our short exchange these past few days, these two aren't bright enough to think that far ahead. Which means the best friend they talk about is the real brain behind their operations.' Ava thought as she stared at them deeply. 'He clearly has a sharp mind to plan everything this meticulously.'

"Fine then," she sighed as she sank back into her chair. "Not like I can even do anything to disobey you in the first place since you are a dragon and you turned me. We just have to hope they don't strike anytime soon."

"And if they do, we are counting on your help." Jim chimed in with a smirk, but the female only waved her hand dismissively, pretending she wasn't flustered by the weight of the responsibility.

"So, when are you both heading back to the association?" she asked, her voice steadying as she regained her composure.

"Tomorrow. We have stayed out longer than we planned. I'm sure we might be punished when we get back, so we need to leave tomorrow." Max replied as he rose from his seat. "You can handle this place yeah?"

"Of course." Ava said as she also stood up. "With my draconic powers, I should be able to manage any threat that comes my way as long as it isn't too strong. The aura alone scares most people."

"And you are all sure you can use the family telepath skill?" Max asked as he glanced between them.

"Yes sire." Max heard Jim's reply echo inside his mind, and he nodded with a satisfied smirk.

"Beautiful. I have one last slot and I plan to use it on someone already overwhelmingly strong and introduce them to our family. As we are growing our gang, let's also be growing our draconic family." Max added, the smirk on his face stretching wider with excitement.

"Well, we will leave you now. We need to go and prepare for our return back to the association." Jim said as he rose, and both he and Max turned around, walking toward the door.

"Max," Ava called out, her tone softer. The dragon turned to look her way. "Thank you so much for your help in defeating the dark forces and also for turning me."

"Don't make me regret turning you." Max said simply as he swung the door open and walked out with Jim, leaving Ava standing there with a growing smirk.

'I won't.'
