North America Gunman Detective

Chapter 732: Some people are always looking for trouble.

After prolonged surveillance, Jimmy finally made some progress. One of Mo Davis's men left the nightclub, got into a car by the roadside, and drove off. Jimmy quickly got into his car and followed; he was now truly on the trail.

Jimmy followed the car heading south, and as the traffic thinned, his tracking became increasingly difficult. Previously, a distance of thirty to forty meters sufficed, being able to keep up with just one or two cars between them. Now, with no other cars around, Jimmy had to lag nearly a hundred meters behind, worried about being spotted.

Having trailed for nearly an hour and left the city area, the car ahead turned into a small lane leading to an abandoned building standing isolated on the wilderness, surrounded by a dilapidated fence and covering a significant area.

Jimmy didn't dare follow directly. Instead, he drove a bit further, then parked by the roadside and walked over.

Jimmy approached from the side where numerous breaches in the fence existed. He had to stay close to the wall to avoid being seen by anyone inside, although he wasn't sure how many people were there.

Reaching the wall, Jimmy could now see the building, but the view into the interior wasn't clear enough. He scoped out his surroundings, picked an opening, and pressed against the side of the building, finally getting a view of the people inside.

There were five men inside. By their stature alone, Jimmy couldn't tell which one he had followed, but it hardly mattered. From their actions, it was clear they were engaged in something far from legal.

Jimmy drew Bob's pistol, entered the building from a window at the back, and slowly made his way to the room where they were.

"Nobody move. Don't make any movements." Jimmy reached the doorway, kicked it open, drawing all eyes to him, and then they saw Jimmy with his gun raised.

"Bang! Bang!" Two men reached towards their waists, but Jimmy didn't hesitate and shot both in the arm.

"I said, don't move, unless you want to get shot," Jimmy shouted after firing, the two shot guys were out of luck. A quick-reacting man had drawn his pistol but dropped it as he was shot in the arm; the other hadn't even managed his draw.

The two screamed as they clutched their injured arms, and Jimmy, annoyed by their yelling, shouted, "No screaming, be quiet!"

That quieted them down somewhat. Jimmy took zip ties from his back pocket with his left hand, "You, tie them all up. No funny movements, I'm watching."

Luckily, with two unlucky examples in front of them, they didn't refuse Jimmy's demand, and all five lined up against the wall and were bound with zip ties.

Jimmy placed the gun against his chest and began to search them, collecting all the guns and knives and tossing them aside.

They had been sitting on a sofa, with a table holding various specialized tools for weighing, packing, and sealing, next to some contraband and small bags, as well as a few bricks, one of which was already chipped open.

Jimmy: "Who's the Hawk?" The Hawk was one of Mo Davis's men, a curly-haired Hispanic.

Two people looked towards the man in the middle; Jimmy approached him, stopping about two meters away, "Are you the Hawk? Answer me, where's Mo Davis?"

Jimmy's fake tattoos acted effectively, they saw the tattoo on Jimmy's neck, unlike with Bob, they did not question who Jimmy was sent by, the tattoos served to verify his identity, something mob bosses could definitely arrange.

The Hawk glared silently, not one of the unlucky ones shot earlier, and seemed rather uncooperative now.

Jimmy: "Looks like you're not very cooperative, have the rest of you stand over there."

Jimmy instructed the other four to move away, and once they reached another wall, Jimmy switched his gun to his left hand, stepped up to the Hawk, and punched him in the stomach with his right fist. The Hawk blocked with his hands but not effectively, taking the punch and curling like a shrimp against the wall, though he didn't fall.

Jimmy stepped back a bit and continued, "Don't waste my time, where's Mo Davis?"

Apart from focusing on the Hawk, Jimmy kept an eye on the other four men. With no weapons on them, as long as they remained stationary, they were not much of a threat to Jimmy.

The Hawk finally stabilized himself, still looking at Jimmy and remaining silent.

"Not talking, don't understand English, huh? Then don't blame me for getting rough." Unsure if the Hispanic man understood English, Jimmy wasn't taking chances. He lifted his gun, aimed at an arm, and fired, adding another to the unlucky trio, all shot in the right arm.

"Ah!" The Hawk, suddenly shot, cried out. This guy really lacked decency, shooting while he was still asking questions?

Jimmy: "Any of you know where Mo Davis is? Speak up, and I'll let him go."

The four men looked at each other, clearly puzzled, and no one dared to speak.

Jimmy escalated: "Look at me; our reputation is far better than yours. If I say I'll let someone go, I will, so who knows?"

"Bang," another shot, though this one hit only the wall, but the pressure clearly increased a lot.

Jimmy: "I'm not very patient, answer me."

"I don't know; I'm just working here." someone finally spoke up, and that was a good sign.
