Immortal Creed

Chapter 132: Prelude to Revenge

Liens stepped through the main entrance, and soon, a lightly dressed Miss walked up to him.

"Welcome, honored guest! Is there anything you require?"

The Miss smiled as she asked Liens.

"I'd like to buy a Slave to warm my bed. If it's a Miss like you, that would also be nice."

Liens replied with a smile.

"I am not for sale, but if the guest can afford the price, we can still fulfill your request."

The welcoming Miss's smile remained unchanged as she quickly responded with a smile. Clearly, she had encountered similar situations many times before.

"No more jokes. Where is Master Barton?"

"I've come here at the request of those above to select a batch of suitable Slaves."

"I hope to discuss the details with Master Barton as soon as possible."

Liens's expression suddenly changed, and he spoke sternly to the welcoming Miss.

"Guest, please follow me!"

Upon hearing this, the welcoming Miss knew that such a large business was beyond her handling, so she dared not delay and immediately invited Liens to the main hall.

Soon, after passing through a corridor, Liens arrived in the spacious main hall under the guidance of the welcoming Miss.

Although half a year had passed, his impression of this place was still very deep.

While this main hall couldn't be described as resplendent, it was elaborately carved and painted, with various murals on the walls, making it very pleasing to the eye.

The floor was tiled and clearly cleaned frequently, making it very spotless.

Furthermore, various lighting fixtures were installed throughout the hall, making it very bright.

In summary, the entire hall's layout was very bright and sunny, not at all resembling a place that conducted Slave transactions.

Instead, it looked very much like a high-end club…

Coupled with a few lightly dressed Misses, it felt even more so.

Upon arriving in the hall, the welcoming Miss arranged for Liens to sit on a sofa, then asked for instructions: "Esteemed guest, please wait here for a moment. I will immediately invite Master Barton over."

"Mhm, you may go."

Liens lay comfortably on the soft sofa and nodded in response.

With Liens's approval, the welcoming Miss quickly turned and left, hurrying towards a certain part of the hall.

Liens, with his excellent eyesight, watched her walk up to Barton and say something to him.

Then, he saw the slightly corpulent Barton, led by the welcoming Miss, waddle towards him with his large belly.

Seeing the familiar figure walking towards him, a smile appeared on Liens's face.

The thought of patiently waiting vanished in his excited state.

He stood up directly and walked step by step towards that familiar figure.

Seeing Liens stand up and walk towards him, with an unsheathed longsword in one hand, a slight unease suddenly arose in Barton's heart.

So, he slowed his pace, watching Liens with a somewhat wary expression.

"Hello, Master Barton."

Noticing Barton slowing down, Liens didn't pay much attention and continued to walk towards him unhurriedly, calling out at the same time.

At this point, he didn't believe Barton could escape his grasp.

Barton didn't recognize Liens's voice, as he had never paid attention to Liens, the Slave.

Moreover, perhaps thinking Liens's greeting was a gesture of goodwill, Barton's expression relaxed slightly, and he didn't stop his steps.

Soon, the two met…

At this moment, Barton was only a step away from Liens.

"Clang!"

Without hesitation, Liens directly drew his longsword and slashed at Barton's neck.

The longsword, swift as a streak of light, had already reached his neck before Barton could even react.

However, he didn't react, but the item in his hand did.

"Clang!"

A magic barrier blocked Liens's longsword.

He was a little surprised by this, but after the examples of Marvin and Adonis, he wasn't too unexpected. After all, given Barton's line of work, if he didn't take more precautions for himself, he might have died at someone's hands before Liens even arrived.

Unfortunately, he was no longer the same as he used to be.

A mere defense unfolded by a Protection Ring was no longer an unbreakable Absolute Barrier to him.

In the perception of Killing Intent, he could easily "see" that this special barrier was composed of individual mirror-like polygonal elemental structures.

After observing for a while, Liens found the flaws in these elemental structures.

They were their connection points and connection surfaces.

Many… there would be such gaps between every mirror surface.

And these gaps basically all had one characteristic: there were very few, or even no, elemental light points within the gaps.

This was also why he considered them flaws.

He casually sliced open the Wind Blade and fireball that Barton released through the Magic Ring on his hand.

Liens also saw corresponding elemental structures in these offensive spells, but because of their rapid movement, he temporarily couldn't find their flaws.

He coldly stared at the terrified Barton, watching him continuously release magic attacks through the Magic Ring.

However, it was only Wind Blade and fireball repeatedly, which immediately made him lose interest.

At this moment, Liens had entered the state of "Killing Intent," so he had no interest in toying with Barton.

Stepping, charging.

Liens lunged forward, instantly arriving in front of Barton, who was trying to move away.

He raised his sword and slashed at the mirror connection surface of the magic barrier.

Then, the longsword, swift as the wind, passed through as if it had encountered no obstruction.

It easily pierced through the magic barrier in a seamless manner, severing Barton's arm which he was raising forward.

"Ah!"

Barton screamed, instinctively covering the wound on his severed arm with his other hand.

And as the arm carrying the Magic Ring was severed, he could no longer cast spells.

Ignoring Barton's screams, Liens retracted his sword, then lunged forward.

The sharp longsword, following the gap in the magic barrier, pierced through Barton's throat, instantly silencing his screams.

With a movement of his right hand, the longsword immediately cut off most of Barton's neck.

Retracting his sword.

"Thud!"

Liens coldly watched as the lifeless Barton, with his considerable weight, fell heavily to the ground.

"Master!"

The guards, thugs, and welcoming Misses present shrieked upon seeing Barton's figure collapse in a pool of blood.

Upon seeing this scene, some of them, with terrified expressions, moved away from Liens, while others, filled with anger, charged towards him.

And for these "brave" individuals, Liens naturally gave them sufficient treatment.

Allowing them to properly accompany their master.

After Liens killed several more people, everyone dared not step forward. They all looked at him, standing in the pool of blood, with fearful eyes.

Liens's cold gaze swept over everyone in the hall, and he murmured, "It's a pity this is an instance dungeon, otherwise I would have directly drenched this place in blood."

"Forget it… let this unfulfilled joy remain for next time."

Although not everyone had attacked him, he was kind-hearted and liked to treat everyone equally.
