Above the Great Dao

Chapter 470: Revenge

In the Yama Hall, Wei Yue sat on the throne of King Yanluo, his face dark and brooding as he stared intently at the approaching Granny Sha and Xiang Tianyu.

"Where is the great Lord of Heaven? Where is Chen Shi?"

His voice thundered through the temple, echoing with great intensity.

Before ascending the throne of King Yanluo, Wei Yue was revered as the Young Master of the Immortal City, although he was not young; in fact, he was nearly the same age as Granny Sha. His father, Wei Ling, was a Judge in the Underworld. After the great Lord of Heaven disappeared, Wei Ling took control of the Immortal City, and Wei Yue was thus respected as the Young Master of the Immortal City.

Wei Ling was a Ghost God, and Wei Yue also inherited part of the ghostly physique, granting him a much longer lifespan than others, making him still appear quite young.

Although he was a person whom the Yan Family cultivated to usurp someone else's position, his natural talent was not very high, only cultivating to the Refining God Realm.

In recent years, he has absorbed Incense Fire Qi to cultivate, using Extraordinary Power to refine his Golden Body, causing his Divine Power to increase rapidly, now comparable to the existence of the Mahayana Realm!

Yet, even so powerful, he was still anxious and uneasy.

Granny Sha led Xiang Tianyu to stand before him.

Granny Sha was exquisite today; she had consumed a ginseng grass fruit gifted by Chen Shi, making her appearance seem no more than twenty years old. She wore a moonlight skirt, a white gauze skirt, untainted by other colors or embroidery patterns, as if filled with moonlight. Her upper body was clad in a light yellow high-collared jacket, with cuffs embroidered with entwined lotus patterns, tied at the waist with a red sash.

She purposely dressed like this because this was how she looked when her son descended into the underworld and got lost.

She was here for revenge.

Outside the hall, sounds of battle roared like thunder, yet they seemed increasingly distant, leaving the hall in serene silence.

"Tianyu, is it him?" Granny Sha inquired.

Xiang Tianyu seriously examined Wei Yue on the throne, and after a moment, he nodded and said, "It should be him. At that time, he also had a red-haired ghost by his side."

He did not see the red-haired ghost now.

Wei Yue's face darkened as he said, "The red-haired ghost you mentioned betrayed us, colluding with Chen Shi to storm the prison, and I have already sentenced him."

Granny Sha and Xiang Tianyu were stunned. The red-haired ghost colluded with Chen Shi and was beheaded by Wei Yue?

Wei Yue ignored them and shouted loudly, "Chen Shi, I know you are here! Come out and fight me to the death!"

Chen Shi stood outside the hall, hearing the voice inside but remained silent, instead turning his attention to the Saw Hell battlefield.

In the Saw Hell, the fighting continued relentlessly.

The Yan Family's ghosts were numerous, with many possessing Divine Power comparable to the Mahayana level. Even with Nannan awakening memories of her past life, and aided by three Great Judges, Zhong Kui, Tie Chi, and the Black and White Impermanence, the battle was exceedingly arduous.

The Yan Family's powerful ones repeatedly attacked Nannan, attempting to slay her.

The great Lord of Heaven had no choice but to wield the Dragon Head Chopper, slicing down corrupt officials and traitors alike, with heads rolling off one after another from the skies.

Chen Shi's Skull Body also charged forward, wielding the Heavenly Net Blood Transformation Divine Sword, slaying one with each blow. Anyone struck by this sword, irrespective of their cultivation, had their Golden Body shattered, their Primordial Spirit severed, and few could escape.

"The Heavenly Net Blood Transformation Divine Sword is truly a supreme Immortal Magical Treasure!"

Chen Shi couldn't help but marvel at the sword's power but then recalled that Zhong Wuwang, struck by the sword, did not immediately die but instead escaped back to Despair Slope and healed the sword wound.

Zhong Wuwang's cultivation strength is indeed not to be underestimated.

In the Yama Hall, Granny Sha held Xiang Tianyu's hand, speaking coldly, "Wei Yanluo, don't you recognize my son Tianyu?"

Wei Yue waited for a moment. When Chen Shi did not respond, his gaze returned to the mother and son, frowning, "Who are you? Do I have a grudge with you?"

Granny Sha showed a look of disappointment, "Wei Yanluo indeed doesn't recognize my son. Forty-two years ago, sir, and the red-haired ghost searched for the Three-Life Stone and encountered a little child entering the underworld looking for the Three-Life Stone..."

Wei Yue was slightly taken aback, looking at Xiang Tianyu in shock, "You're the child who was searching for the Three-Life Stone and entered the Buddhist Hell? I remember you! You actually managed to come out of the Buddhist Hell alive!"

He was quite excited, "I and Ghost Servant waited outside the Buddhist Hell for you for seven days! When we didn't see you, we left. I thought you had long since died there! So you found the Three-Life Stone?"

He stood up from the throne, very happy to meet Xiang Tianyu, and said, "I pointed the way for you to find the Three-Life Stone; giving me half is not too much, right?"

Granny Sha's heart surged with unspeakable anger as she gritted her teeth, "You caused my son's death, and you still want him to give you half of the Three-Life Stone?"

Wei Yue glanced at her and suddenly laughed, "You are this little brother's mother? As ancient people say, even a ferocious tiger does not eat its cubs. He is your son. Why were you so cruel as to send him into the underworld on a risky search for the Three-Life Stone for you?"

He chuckled, "That's right. At that time, you were also stuck in a bottleneck, eager to break through. So you had a wicked idea. You let your son's soul leave his body and sent him into the underworld to search for the Three-Life Stone to help you break through. You should have known that the underworld is incredibly dangerous and that there was a good chance your son would die there, yet you still sent him into the underworld to help you!"

Granny Sha's body trembled, struggling to say, "I made all kinds of preparations for Tianyu..."

As she said this, tears suddenly overflowed from her eyes, streaming down her cheeks.

She truly believed she had made every preparation at that time. She bestowed all the protective magic skills she had comprehended upon her son, hung all the treasures she found for protecting souls on him, and prepared rhino horn incense that could guide souls, all for him.
