The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 325: City of Holy Blessing

The luxurious carriage, escorted by the Royal Knight Order, slowly departed from the port, the wheels making a steady yet light sound on the cobblestone road.

The riding spears draped in brocade stood like a green hedge outside the carriage window, making the exquisite golden rose and scripture emblem stand out even more.

Luo Yan sat in the carriage, fiddling with the little dragoness lying on his lap. The latter purred contentedly like a sleeping cat.

At this moment, they were riding in the carriage of Casite Hillfin, the head of the Hillfin family, heading to the temporary residence prepared for Prince Roxey Colin by the Hillfin family.

This was an invitation proactively made by the Hillfin family.

As the most distinguished guest of the Holy City, Prince Colin could stay there indefinitely. In exchange, he only needed to leave a portrait in the gallery... the Hillfin family would arrange for the Holy City's finest artist to create a classic that would be passed down through the ages.

It must be said, this was precisely the cleverness of the Hillfin family; for thousands of years, they have accumulated a large number of excellent celebrity paintings through such generous acts... the value of just those oil paintings had already surpassed that of the estate itself.

And guests invited by the Hillfin family certainly would not shamelessly stay indefinitely, so there was no worry about the problem of "easy to invite, hard to send away."

In fact, Luo Yan indeed did not plan to disturb for long.

Before disembarking, he had already arranged for Lumier to interact with some of his suddenly-emerged "poor relatives" to see if their family tree held any potential value and what loopholes needed to be filled while securing a property befitting his status locally.

Alongside Lumier disembarked Baron Ticky Cosia. Although the grand nobles of the Holy City were uninterested in him, the myriad of knights and sirs were indeed quite curious about him.

What he had to do now was publish books, give interviews, and then return home in glory! To make up for not flaunting in the past ten years, doing it all at once!

As for Sarah, she, after all, had demon blood and was still on the ship, waiting for fewer people at the port before getting off.

Although the Holy City did not reject impure blood as Thunder City did, demon blood was still unsuitable for the limelight, requiring one to hide demon traits and live low-key in the master's shadow.

She would join him later.

Luo Yan's gaze, through the carved window, examined the sights of the Holy City streets with interest.

Magnificent and solemn buildings stood on either side of the spacious street, and the bustling citizens occasionally cast curious glances at the convoy or whispered among themselves.

Truthfully, this was entirely different from what he saw in the library of the Demon King Academy. Theoretically, the inhabitants of the Holy City should all be robed ascetics reciting scriptures, with muscle-bound figures in splendid armor surrounding mummified emperors, not showcasing such a kaleidoscope of colors.

However, Luo Yan could understand it; after all, those who understood the situation were all vested interests, refraining from speaking words behind closed doors when they could speak openly outside.

Presumably, the library of the Holy City would not objectively describe what Demon City was truly like, so it's better for the big brother and second brother not to mock each other about this.

While Luo Yan was observing the street scene outside the window, Count Casite Hillfin was also carefully examining him.

He was an elegant middle-aged gentleman, dressed in a meticulously tailored black long formal suit, with the Hillfin family's golden rose and scripture emblem embroidered on his chest. Upon closer inspection, his golden temples were slightly frosted, yet his demeanor remained entirely refined and affable.

"Truly rare... is this a dragon hatchling?" From the moment he boarded the carriage, his gaze never shifted from between Prince Colin's legs where the dragon lay, until he finally couldn't help but exclaim upon hearing the content purring.

He considered himself well-traveled, yet this was the first time he had ever seen this legendary species.

Moreover, it was an even rarer dragon hatchling!

"Yes, a little fellow that just hatched not long ago. I encountered it near the Sun Step Mountain Range. According to the ancient legends of the Gana Continent, that is where dragons are born." Retracting his gaze from the window, Luo Yan wore a gentle smile.

Taufu opened one eye, glanced at Luo Yan, and was about to argue when, obeying her master's orders, she finally only let out a purr.

Before arriving at the port, Luo Yan specifically instructed her on two matters.

First, not to speak human words when others were around, and second, not to suddenly lay an egg when in the presence of others... unless she truly couldn't hold back.

These two matters were actually nothing unusual; some clever dragons were already capable of more than just Dragon Language, Luo Yan just disliked problems and wanted to avoid unnecessary issues.

"What a cute little fellow," Casite commented wistfully, then added a moment later, "It's a pity it's so small. I've heard it takes over a century for a dragon to grow up..."

"Indeed," Luo Yan shrugged lightly, somewhat regrettably stating, "In addition to studying the Imperial's advanced magical knowledge, I plan to search for a 'magic potion capable of accelerating a dragon's growth' during my journey to the Imperial's Academic State."

It's impossible for the Imperial's research on magic creatures to surpass Hell's intricate play with demons, and Luo Yan merely mentioned it casually.

Yet Taufu shuddered slightly upon hearing those words, almost dropping something little out again.
