Mage Manual

Chapter 560 Good Evening Observer_2

Because the Transcend Sect had indeed delivered the Host God Belt, a legacy of Gray Fox, to Ash as promised, they also custom-made a chromatic harmonica for Harvey.

The silver-haired beauty glanced at the belt and did not pay much attention to it, continuing to ask, "You said you almost caught Silver Lamp?"

Ash nodded and briefly described the chase with Silver Lamp.

Listening, the silver-haired beauty suddenly raised a doubt, "Your fighting style has changed, earlier you didn't show any long-range attack capabilities, and as far as I know, Hosted Gods don't usually have long-range attacks, but later you suddenly were able to severely injure Silver Lamp from a distance... What happened?"

Of course, Ash wouldn't disclose everything to a future enemy. "I broke through during the fight."

"You have unknown abilities I don't know about," said the silver-haired beauty calmly. "And you can't always use them, otherwise you would have severely injured Silver Lamp at the start of the fight. Let me guess... could it be a hidden personality?"

Igula immediately looked at Ash, and the silver-haired beauty then shook her head, "No, with the help of a Spirit Mage, if you really had a hidden personality it could become a regular weapon. So, it's not your hidden personality, but..."

"Your hidden self."

Ash neither denied nor admitted, he had no interest in continuing to leak information to the Four Pillars God Sect. "It's your turn now, you should tell us the information about Silver Lamp."

However, the silver-haired beauty still stared intently at Ash, "I want to see the real you hidden under your skin."

Ash calmly replied, "Sorry, I sell myself, not my art."

"Really? Even if the Spirit Mage next to you turned into a wooden horse, you wouldn't want your true self to come out and get some air?"

Crack!

Guests turned their heads to see a redhead girl flipping a table and grabbing the silver-haired beauty. It turned out to be just a woman fighting; they immediately turned back to continue drinking.

Ash didn't stay to cause trouble here. He dragged the silver-haired beauty out into the alley against the wall. "What did you say?"

"You're just normally angry now," the silver-haired beauty shook her head. "You're still some distance away from the real you."

Thud!

Struck in the abdomen, the silver-haired beauty instinctively bent over, but she still calmly shook her head, "No use, your strength now might at best work for a massage. Here you couldn't even squash a fat bug... Of course, if you host a god, you might break the Mirror of Flowers' constraints and kill me. But, would killing me be meaningful?"

No meaning.

She was just a Pillar God Believer manipulated by the Mercury Wooden Horse. Killing her wouldn't stop the countless other puppets of the Mercury Wooden Horse.

And, in case...

"Or would you prefer I use another body to find you?" she whispered in Ash's ear. "Would it be the silent Necromancer or the cunning Spirit Mage?"

Crack!

Ash silently withdrew his hand, looking at the silver-haired beauty he had knocked to the ground, and asked, "Are you here to announce that our cooperation with the Four Pillars God Sect is officially over?"

"Of course not," said the silver-haired beauty, sitting on the ground and touching her face. She looked towards Igula, who had just finished handling the bar bills and was walking over, and smiled, "It seems he doesn't care much about you guys."

"If you knew how we met," Igula said calmly. "You wouldn't have any strange misunderstandings about our relationship."

"Better head back if you want to provoke us, or else tell us the information about Silver Lamp."

The silver-haired beauty stood up and dusted off her skirt, saying, "Silver Lamp is in Black Robe Town."

Ash and his companion were not surprised by this information—the largest and closest town to the Transcend building was Black Robe Town, and given its trading characteristics, it was completely normal for Silver Lamp to resupply there.

"And how did you recognize the two of us?" Igula asked. "Our appearance and attire are both different from our originals."

"Please allow me to keep that confidential," the silver-haired beauty tapped her lips lightly. "Since Ash isn't willing to show his true self, then I must maintain some mystery as well. So, farewell to you both."

Watching the silver-haired beauty disappear into the crowd, Igula turned his head and saw Ash leaning against the wall, lost in thought.

"It's time to continue shopping."

"Right."

Even though he said that, Ash had no intention of moving, still engrossed in his thoughts.

The Swindler glanced at him, then walked directly into the pedestrian street. After a while, he came back with two ice creams, holding one and handing the other to the Cult Leader.

Ash, unafraid of the cold, took a big bite, his mouth covered in cream. After the ice cream melted in his mouth, he suddenly said, "She was lying."

"Hmm?"

"There's no way she could've slipped mercury into your bodies, you hadn't even touched the wooden horse at that time. If her tactile ability doesn't require contact, she could have turned Silver Lamp into a wooden horse long ago, how could she possibly have been overthrown by Silver Lamp?"

Igula was taken aback, then nodded thoughtfully, "Indeed, that's a huge flaw."

"But why would she use this kind of lie to provoke me?" Ash frowned. "Is it just to see the cards I have hidden?"

"Speaking of which, there's something I've been curious about," Igula said. "It's fine she recognized the two of us, but why, why did she only ask about Harvey?"

Ash blinked, suddenly realizing.

The Mercury Wooden Horse was not just the Mercury Wooden Horse; she was also Tamasi's former companion Tanomu, plus Tamasi's hatred for her, why didn't she ask about Black Crow's condition seeing that Tamasi wasn't acting with them, but only asked about the Necromancer?

Just as a thought was about to break through, suddenly someone shouted from the end of the alley, "Finally found you two. Even though there are prophecies of miracles, red-haired women with crimson eyes are not scarce around here…"

They turned their heads to see a woman they didn't recognize, and asked, "Who are you?"

"Aren't you used to my way of appearing yet?" she smiled and said:

"Since Tamasi isn't here, you might as well call me Mercury Wooden Horse."

...

...

Void Realm, Distant Realm.

When the four operators appeared in the Dream Bubble Shadow, Sonia immediately looked at Ash and asked, "How did your fight with Silver Lamp go?"

"Good thing you logged into the Void Realm tonight," Diya also breathed a sigh of relief. "I was worried something had happened to you."

Since the conflict with Silver Lamp had been planned in advance, Ash had been prepared to not log into the Void Realm for a day or two. He initially planned to let the Sword Witch form her own team for exploration, even though the Dream Treasury was bound to him, but a team of multiple Mages would always be more efficient than a single Mage.

But after a moment's hesitation, the Sword Witch opposed the decision, preferring to act independently. Ash found it strange, they had been quite close before, but if they were unwilling, it was alright, it was just for a night or two.

"It's a long story, and something very confusing just happened…" Ash looked towards the genteel girl beside him, greeting the new operative, "Good evening, Weiser."

Weiser put down her hand from her face and smiled, "Good evening, Observer."
